Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists of North Alabama - Excessive gloss and ding caused by owner slamming wheels on shelf

They also said that if they were unable to repair the wheel there would be no charge. Honest business, great customer service and fixed the wheel within an hour. Very pleased with the work. Another company told us it would take 3-4 days. We would use them again. The best way to reach them, in my opinion is through their request a quote link on their web page. They are in their shop on Mondays and then out doing mobile service at the local car dealers the other days of the week. They are located at 404 B Nick Fitcheard Rd. Huntsville, Alabama 35806. Local number is 256-682-1165

I brought two black (semi-gloss with machined center cutout) TSW roll Forged wheels to this shop…read morewith mild curb rash. The business owner and operator stated the repair would be $200 a wheel. A week + later I got back high gloss black (slight hint of metallic) with the machined portion painted over - not fractionally similar to the original color, shade and gloss level - and obviously a complete mismatch to the other two wheels in the set. I have a total of 8 wheels of that type, and now I have to find a reputable shop that now has to remove the unprofessional job on these wheels and completely refinish them. It was a complete waste of time, both mine and his. Even worse, when I explained the problems with his work, the owner stomped off and angrily slammed my wheels onto a metal mesh shelf (all while his wife cringed and my teenage son witnessing his tantrum). He didn't refinish the wheels even remotely close to their original finish and pitched an unprofessional fit when I explained what was wrong. I was obviously unhappy but didn't yell or lose my temper, and his response was over the top out of control. I took my wheels and left. For note - I used this same company back in 2021 for a different set of TSW wheels and the work he did was actually quite good back then. Not this time - and whatever is going on in his life right now is preventing him from running a professional business. I can't explain how disappointed I am. I don't know what is driving this business owner's behavior, but it isn't good and I would steer clear of his business. I will personally never use his services again. I attached several pictures. The level of gloss is hard to demonstrate in pictures, but to be sure - the work he did wasn't even close to the original finish and would look terrible and mismatched. He ultimately did not charge me - and I would not have paid him for the work. $200 a wheel is a premium price for wheel repair. I could have achieved 90% of the quality with a rattle can - it was most certainly not worth the price he was asking.

Beware of this audio shop. Make sure you get a detailed quote what you want to get installed. &…read morethoroughly check the installation of all the audio equipment. This was probably a good audio shop before the new took owner, but the current one takes no accountability for the poor workmanship of the quality of the install and back tracks on what he quoted you on. I came in asking for subs & amp install on a box I provided. While there I ask if there's a possibility to make my current speakers louder. The owner suggests I get a module from my factory head unit to be able to run a separate amp to my speakers. Which I agreed too, and continues to say the interior speakers would sound much better and all them would work off the amp to give it more power thus more volume. I followed that by saying I would like to replace my center speaker only. So after all being said he gave me the illusion that I would be getting 2 - 8" subs installed in my sub box, 2 separate amps, 1 powering the subs and another the interior speakers, center speaker replacement, the module for my factory radio and the wiring required to do all of the work, which came out to a quote of $2,200. I should've known to get a detailed quote but I trusted the reviews on here. I drop off the truck on a Tuesday and get a call later that day from the owner saying everything is installed and they have "tuned" the audio system and the truck is ready to pick up. I pick up the truck from the head technician and while getting gas close by I noticed the center speaker was not replaced, and the right rear speaker was not working. And after further inspection of the installation, the power wire running from the battery was literally rain under the truck, along side the frame rail, only hanging on by the body mount of the frame. The drill a hole in the can to run the wire and don't even bother to put a rubber grommet to prevent the metal from cutting into the wire. The wires from the module from factory stereo to the amp, where looped around the center console and hanging off other wires under my steering column thus making interior parts not fit correctly to one under and leaving multiple screws out of the center stack. I then look at the amp installation and to my surprise they only installed 1 amp and the amp was literally left in a cubby under the back seat, not fastened to anything just left there with random loose zip ties on the excess wiring. After further inspection the center speaker wasn't even connected to the single amp that installed. Not only was I disappointed lack of quality of the installation but the brazen disrespect of paying $2,200 for something and getting something different. I return shortly after to talk to the master technician and tell him everything that I saw wrong. He begins to explain to me that the way the power wire is ran on my truck is how he has done it for 20 years. And that's how it's suppose to be. And he was not aware of the replacement of the center speaker. But then shows me the work order on the computer where it does show it. I told him about the center speaker wasn't even connected, in which he told me the current amp couldn't make it work anyways as there wasn't enough channels for them to wire it to the amp. So he would have to connect it back to the factory stereo. I followed by saying how could the owner tell sell me the idea that all the speakers would be working together on a single amp, when in fact the amp they installed doesn't have that capability, but the owner still told me and sold me the idea that it would. And further more how could they tune my audio system, with one door speaker not working and no center speaker connected. The technician said he could fix some of the these issues but that he had no idea what the owner told me and what the owner had sold me. I return the next day to find the power wire ran through the fire wall and under the carpet. The center speaker replaced and wired back to the factory stereo and the door speaker fixed. While they did fix some of the issues, this was not a professional install

So $300 out of a $1000 was just wasted money. I came back to get my touchscreen radio looked at, and when they said I was good to leave i go outside to all the panels for my dash loose and absolutely out of place. I had to go back in and tell them to fix it. Came back with the new radio which they yet again left stuff pushed out and not placed correctly, with glue all over the buttons. They even upped the price of what I was originally told by forty more dollars on top of what was needed. It is all just lazy, and unprofessional work for a price payed by the customer.
