Buc-eel's is the most amazing gas station and rest stop. It is more than either. It is a destination where people come from all over the country to explore. There are probably over 100 gas pumps. There is plentiful parking if you are looking to eschew getting gasoline for your car. You walk in and are immediately greeted by the friendly staff. The smell of fresh fudge and beef brisket permeate the air. The bathrooms are immaculate and are cleaned regularly. You should really visit a Buc-ee's if you have never been. read more

What's amazing about this is that Buc-ee's hasn't been open for more than a month and it already has a gaggle of reviews. Of course, like many from the DMV area, I ventured here. But I had a reason to come here, not just because of the novelty of it all. My Dad is obsessed with Buc-ee's chocolate. I made the trek to literally pick up chocolate bars for his birthday. I did this smartly by leaving extremely early in the morning. It's a long trek and felt like it took forever to get here, but I made in time before the morning rush started. This place, like all their locations, is huge. 120 pumps and a store floorplan to rival any big box store. Parking is ample and it is easy to find a spot, suggestion, however, go off to the sides instead of parking right near the entrance/pumps area. Go inside and quickly use the facilities, after that long of a drive it was warranted. As always, cleaner than a hospital. After that was done I made my way out to the floor. I grabbed a basket and my first stop was the sweet tea. I grabbed the biggest cup and fill it with ice and tea. I then make my way to their candy bars and pick up several of different varieties. Grab some Beaver Nuggets and then continue to browse for myself. While here, I also pick up a few things for upcoming birthday gifts for my nieces and nephew. I also got myself a few things. T-shirts, magnets, and snacks procured and I head to the register. Again, people, use the side entrances, there was no wait here and an easy cash out. The lady at the register was quite pleasant and we exchanged words while she rang me up. Seeing how much I just spent she asked what this was for and I told her it was mostly gifts. OMG! If you have never been to a Buc-ees, you have to stop! They have everything and anything you want! Not only do they have gas and a car wash, but they have just about everything in the store that you could imagine. The food court is exceptional. There are soda fountains that contain just about any soda you can imagine. There are snacks, knick-knacks, clothing, camping gear, kitchen ware, the list goes on! You could spend hours in here. I loved All of the items they carry. I just had to grab a t shirt. The prices are like a glorified Wawa but I was expecting that. First time at a Buc-ee's. Gas was lower than other stations nearby. Place is huge with 120 gas pumps and so much inside. The parking was rather busy but not to bad. Able to get out quickly. So many food options. Someone was slicing the brisket and when done all the staff in that meal prep area sent out a little cheer. To start - this is a destination! Sure it's a gas station and sure it has food, but that is minimally describing an experience! This was my 3rd trip here - the first was near when they opened and I was completely overwhelmed with the magnitude of people That day! Fast forward a month and it's so much easier to navigate. I also went on a Saturday in summer - and that was wild! Today is a Wednesday after lunch and much more enjoyable. There are more gas pumps than you can imagine which also has awesome prices. Inside is this incredible place of foods, smells, clothes, home goods - even a grocery store! There is amazing fudge you can buy in bulk or by the piece. And it's all good! The wall of jerky types and flavors is no joke! But wait til you get to the center of where the meat / poultry is cut up and put on sandwiches, wraps or sold separately! The chicken is worth the drive as is the brisket. Oh my! I have had every sandwich and don't have a favorite which is why I just left with one of each kind!! They also have breakfast foods which is what we had on the second trip and the brisket with scrambled egg wrap is something I could eat daily!! I am a huge Buc-ee's fan... and i will go whenever one is close! This is exactly 2 hours from home and while I'm writing this, I'm considering getting in the car and going right now lol... The food is good. From the breakfast, the lunch, and the dinner. My fave sandwich is the 3 meat sandwich... absolutely delicious. I prefer the sliced brisket over the chopped but they are both good. The candied pickles are a waste of money. All of the snacks were delicious! From the dark chocolate covered raisins to the pickled flavored popcorn. All the jerky I had was tender and delicious. The cookies... man o man... the wall of all of the different gummy bears! Soooo good!!! We also got that frozen jambalaya stuffed chicken. Seasoned it a little when it thawed and baked it up with a little butter and it was 10/10! If you don't like crowds, then don't go. If you don't mind crowds and you want a delicious meal, then go. I was super excited to go visit my first ever Buc-ee's and visited around noon on a Tuesday. The store is huge and has tons of merchandise. My family and I literally couldn't look at everything because there was so much to see. Among the highlights were the unique flavors in the soda fountains, the many types of fudge available for sale, and, of course, the brisket. The store and restrooms were clean and tiny, and the staff were helpful and friendly, though they were all very busy due to the large number of people in the store. It was rather loud and overstimulating inside, which I was not prepared for, so individuals sensitive to sound should keep that in mind. Okay... amusement park size convenient store but also a catch-all store. It's hard to explain. Just go! It's an adventure. Be prepared for TONS of traffic and wall to wall people inside. If you have no patience, do not make this a stop! Only happy, friendly, and patient beavers allowed. This location just opened 5 days ago and we did visit on the 4th of July. However, based on my previous experiences at other locations, this place is always happening. There are like 200 gas pumps. They have ethanol free, diesel, and ethanol gas. They do have reasonable gas prices. Very convenient. There's plenty of grassy areas for pets with a gazillion signs to clean up after your pet. Which is what good pet owners do anyway so this should be the norm for any fur loving human. Inside is magic. Come hungry. They have coffee, iced coffee (with syrups on the counter to add), slushes, fountain sodas, bottled sodas, water, any bottled drink you can imagine, as well as alcohol (which you might need after sitting in traffic for 10-15 minutes just to enter/leave - which doesn't include the 20-30 minutes of parking spot hunting). They have a beef jerky bar (think deli), as well as prepackaged jerky which is way easier than standing in the line. There are 8,789 different flavors (ballpark estimate). There's fudge, cookies, beaver tails, cinnamon rolls, and lots of other goodies in the bakery section. They do have prepackaged fudge so that you don't have to wait in line. There's also a sampler so you can get lots of bites of all their flavors. This is just a small sampling of what all they have to offer! Lots of things would make terrific gifts. Hot food! Okay, again tons of options. There's pulled pork, brisket (highly recommend), club melt, burritos, chicken tenders, beaver chips... the list goes on. This will be some of the best BBQ that you have. They do a great job of having sandwiches ready for grab and go! The price is reasonable for the quality and quantity of the sandwiches/food. They also have all the things that a regular convenience store has as well. They do a great job of offering their own brand as well as national brands. They have tons of low carb options as well. Anyone can find something here to snack on or eat. No worries. The beaver nuggets are a classic. They do have the dangerous warm sugared nuts (almond, cashew, pecan). Just grab 2 of each. Seriously. You earned it after the journey to make it to the parking lot. They also have their own dark chocolate concoctions. The espresso beans are top notch. All this and I haven't even talked about the retail. They have clothing, shoes, household items, candles. sauces, pickles, etc. They even have sunscreen, grills, tents, floating coolers, sinking coolers, cups, travel mugs... like seriously how long would this review be if I mentioned it all! There are also eleventy million ice chests outside that carry 16 pounds of ice for $1.99. I bought a cup of ice for 79 cents as 16 pounds wouldn't fit in my cup I brought with me. Bummer as it's a lovely price. There's an entire fan base that will buy all things beaver! And boy do they offer things with their mascot splashed all over it. It's a way of life honestly. Grab a shirt. Put your patient pants on and do yourself a favor and take the Buc Ee's journey. You won't be disappointed. I love that they are mindful of the lines and prepare so much to grab and go. Very user friendly. I also appreciate the super fast checkouts sprinkled throughout the mega store. These same cashiers that are trying to keep lines down are the same peeps who holler a welcome to you when you come through the door. Check an exit that's different from the one you entered. It was wild seeing a few with absolutely no line while others were lined up to the middle of the store. If you are a solo traveler or an inexperienced driver this is a wonderful place to stop and feel safe. It's also just a fun little spot to explore and relax to get off of the road when traveling. Where do I begin? This is the goat (or beaver) of gas stations - cheap gas with a ton of pumps and the cleanest bathrooms you will find along 81. The bathrooms even have a light system so you know which is open and which is not. The food options are awesome, tons of fresh brisket and pork, along with jerky, chips, fudge, etc. Everything was pretty "cheap" and with all the bucees shirts, pants, snacks, etc we spent less than 100$ and got a ton of Christmas gifts. They also have non bucee items for sale like great hand lotions, wine glasses, etc. Staff was super friendly and we moved through lines quickly. Definitely worth a stop in! read more

Ok so if you haven't been to a Buc-ee's before it's an assault on the senses but the bathrooms are really clean and the gas is cheap. Also the brisket! Now this is a newer location, as they just opened at the end of june I stopped by on my way to Southern WV to get fuel and use the facilities. I didn't find the shopping selection to be as robust as their sister stores in SC and FL, but if you want to see what all of the hype is about it's worth a stop. I will certainly be back on my trips to WV just because I love Buc-ee's! read more

A great place to stop right off I-81 near Mount Crawford Buc-ee's was founded in 1982 in Clute in Texas. It has grown from a modest gas station into a chain of travel centers. We like them for their large facilities, lots of gas pumps, and excellent bathroom cleanliness. As of 2024, Buc-ee's operates 50 locations across nine states, with 35 in Texas and two in Georgia. This one is to the east of Mount Crawford. It is at the intersection of I-81 and Frieden's Church Road. Like most locations, it is a massive travel center. Namely, if you have never been to one of these, you are in for a treat. Most of the locations sport over 100 gas pumps and each of the ones that I have visited are a destination in itself. THis one was no different. They greeted us as we walked in the door. This one, like all the others had a great food selection. They had their own fresh BBQ sandwiches, brisket tacos, and beaver nuggets along with prepackaged food and various drink options. Their jerky bar offers an impressive variety, and the bakery serves up fresh kolaches and homemade fudge that are hard to resist. If you need a quick caffeine fix, their coffee station is well-stocked with quality brews usually, ironically, right next to the restrooms. Beyond food, Buc-ee's is a shopper's paradise. They have Georgia-themed and Buc-ee's themed merchandise, outdoor gear, or other unique items. The restrooms are famously clean and live up to their reputation as some of the best you'll find on any road trip. Overall, if you need to stop, this is a great choice along the way. read more

Wow! Just wow! I'm writing this review after my second visit to Buc-ee's on 11/1/25. I just had to come back and bring the family. This place is absolutely amazing. It's not just a gas station, it's an experience. That's why we drove two hours from Arlington, VA to enjoy every minute of this place. First, the staff are by far the most friendliest people. Ready to serve and ensure you have the best experience. During both trips, we experienced large crowds but didn't care because everyone was just as excited as we were to be there. We had a wonderful shopping spree where we grabbed several brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, beaver nuggets and chips, beef jerky and a host of other items, including souvenirs. Yes the cart was full!!! lol...This Buc-ee's is in a wonderful location, gas prices are awesome, there are ample gas pumps and parking is plentiful. Lastly, I couldn't write this review without mentioning the epic bathrooms. Super clean and nice! I couldn't believe it. It's true what they say... every place needs a Buc-ee's. This place is gigantic. I am writing this review after my second visit, because I wasn't sure how the second visit would compare to my first. It was pretty crowded for a sunny Saturday afternoon in the summertime. I heard amazing things about the public restrooms, let me tell you that they give the Four Seasons a run for the money. The lines for a gas pump outside, the waiting inside for a freshly made chopped beef sandwich, and for the cash register forms like spontaneous combustion: literally everything everywhere all at once. There was a guy who was so confused as to how quickly the line for checkout formed, I felt sorry for him so I let him go ahead of me, I hope he would have done the same thing if I were in his shoes. The traffic is similar to an amusement park on a July fourth weekend or a shopping mall between thanksgiving and New Year's Eve: prepare to pack your patience. (Hint: there could be a better deal on gas across the interstate.) That being said, this is a great pit stop for a road trip on I-81, whereupon you could find anything you could possibly need or want, except lottery tickets. read more

There was a little too much bar b q sauce on it, but flavorable. I absolutely love the slushy style soft drinks. The Italian combo was excellent. Check out was pretty fast. CON You get your big messy sandwich, but there is no place to sit down and eat. What's with that (rhetorical) . You would think such a h u g e place would have tables. I never knew about Buc-ee's!. This place has more than 30 gas pumps! No tractor trailers allowed. The store itself is a lot of everything! From clothes to really cook cookware and travel bags, etc. In tje middle of it all is a Big food area where they make deserts right on front of you and also pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. Made right there! I got a Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich $7.48 and a large bottle of smart water. It was Got Dang Delicious!!!! The guy at the register said some days there's more people in there than the population in the town! I totally belive it as it's right off 81 N. **Nowhere to sit to eat. Please k ow this. I hiked around the outside area while eating then got gas and left. No 5 star review as There was no seating indoors or outdoors and no crosswalk. This place was sensory overload. There is a lot going on at this establishment/gas station. We happened to be traveling in that general direction and made a special trip to see what all the hype was about. Highlights: Their rest rooms are amazingly clean for the volume of people. There are so many stalls available there is no wait! Fuel pumps mirror the amount of restrooms in fact. No wait on fuel either. Their staff was friendly & professional and always moving. I applaud Buc-ee's for their high wages resulting in high quality staff. They even post their pay rates at each entrance for all to see! Their variety of goods is also very impressive. They have a huge selection of their own merch that even had us leaving with several items to commemorate are visit. lol Next are not so highs: The crowd is ridiculous. People are everywhere buzzing around trying to see everything. Almost reminds me of the day after Thanksgiving when people are fighting for those TV's. Minus the fighting. Jk Their food selection is vast as well. The sandwiches: Bbq Brisket, Bbq pork, Bbq Turkey, fried chicken, and they have a 3 meat sandwich piled high! Oh they yell every time a fresh brisket is on the board! Which is every 8-10 minutes my guess. They also sell all their meats by the pound. They've got homemade chips, fudge, candied nuts, 40 varieties of beef jerky, a bakery, and a jerky glass deli window. I could go on and on... the best thing we had were the Beaver Nuggets. That's right. The sandwiches we tried tasted mostly of sauce and smoke. It over powered the meats imo. I wasn't impressed. My son loved it all.
