Five stars for Buc-Ees coming to Arizona.
HURRAY!!!
Two left turn lanes to speed up the flow coming to this place from the Interstate.
Good decision.
Two lanes into the parking lot simplifying the decision to go to the left or the right.
It's common sense folks, don't make it a problem
I didn't see how many fuel islands there were, but there are several and they didn't seem to slow the flow through the entrance.
Several parking spots for Buc-Ees shoppers who didn't stop here to fuel up.
Sadly, I did observe those that have to park I'm the flow of traffic to wait for someone to load up and pull out so it saves them a few extra steps through the parking lot.
And I want to add, there is ample parking.
I think they even had an area for those EVs.
In the far corner of the lot (I think it's the NE corner) they so kindly provided a dog relief zone. They have a sign posted to remind pet owners that it is their responsibility to pick up their pets waste.
Walking in we passed several large Ice Coolers with a sign displaying a price of $1.69 for a 16lb bag of ICE.
That's a bargain! I regret not having a cooler in my car since my dogs routine involves bowls of ice water.
Seriously though, this even beats Costcos price.
As far as prices go, that was one of the best prices, well, aside from those Brisket sandwiches.
Lots of merchandise.
Buc-Ees merchandise, STS Ranch, Wrangler, Reef, and more.
All the stuff that you might have packed for a picnic, day at the lake, trip out of town -but you somehow forgot. Well you will likely find what you need here.
Need a touristy gift to bring back from your travel? This would be a good place to pick up something.
Kudos to staff and the interactions I/we had with each individual.
Once when trying to get around a group of people to view a display and employee standing with a dust Mop apologized and scooted to allow me to get past.
Another employee enroute to taking display racks off the floor took the time to actually show me where the stickers were located. I told her she could just point us in the direction and she explained it would be much easier to show us where they're located.
Another employee was instructing us and everyone in line to grab a Brisket or other sandwich that there were two lines. That could've speed things up a tad, but so many of us were obvious newbies and needed to figure out WHAT we might want from the numerous items to choose from.
And finally, the young lady the completed our purchases. She was friendly, sweet, personable.
So it's Buc-ees!
Who doesn't want to stop here?!
Dislikes.
*The number of people here.
I've been to another location and it was nowhere near this busy.
*The prices on some of the merchandise.
Yep, I get it, but I obviously still have a problem with it.
*Merchandise missing a price tag. I came across a few different items I was wanting to purchase but with the lines at the registers I couldn't imagine waiting to get a price check, and I didn't want to show price shock if price was out of the range I deemed reasonable.
*WAITING at the end of that line where we grabbed a sandwich. WAITING for someone to acknowledge I was still standing there waiting for the condiment bins to be filled. I'm not alone when it comes to BBQ I like it a little saucier. There was none.
There was Ranch and maybe Honey Mustard, idk, but neither was complimentary to the Brisket sandwich I planned to eat.
After several attempts to get someone's attention I was finally successful in getting one girls attention who walked by to bring something to a guy working the line.
She eventually dropped a total of seven BBQ sauce things in the tub, of which I grabbed four.
That area of the line was either overstuffed (spoons, knives), empty or low (napkins and the sauce/condiment containers), poorly displayed (a youngster had a hard time grabbing a couple forks because they were located the furthest back on the counter).
*Products completely sold out (Great!) left displays needing to be restocked or changed out for a different product.
We will be back to capture more photos, spend more money, fill my tank, and fill our bellies.
Can't wait to see what they have then. read more
