First timer here! I've heard so many things about buc-ee's and when we were passing through Texas I had to get my hubby to stop here so we can check it out. Got a front row parking and was so excited to go in, we got greeted immediately by friendly staff and there was sooo much to see. The jerky wall had so many options and I had to buy the cutest tumbler. The place was very clean and organized, these people are on top of their store cleanliness and as a mom of 4 I'm so thankful for it when it comes to the restrooms. My kiddos even got to take a pic with buc-ee himself! Also picked up some delicious lemon bars that were so sinful to eat which I was upset about cause I only got 1 and wish I bought another. And if you come here get the pulled pork sandwich with bbq sauce, it's like country comfort, if I could wrap myself in that sandwich I'd die happy. read more

First time at bucee's. It's huge. Like a store. They have merch, their shirts go up to 4x! The bathroom is huge! We tried their chicken and pulled pork sandwiches. So good. Also their breakfast was also good. The glazed nuts are delicious. read more

The bad: The lemon crisp cookies in the 8 ounce container were stale and chewy, the peanut M&M's were nearly expired and chewy not crunchy , the mini chocolate chip cookies in the 8 oz container tasted like sugar cookies without a hint of chocolate and the Milk Chocolate and Carmel flavored Pretzel Crisps were stale as the chocolate stripes appeared old and they had developed that white mildew powder indicative of chocolate that has expired or been left in the heat. The ugly: Windshields remain covered in bugs!!!! There are no window washing stations at the gas pumps, perhaps in an effort to force you to buy a car wash. That doesn't work if you have a rooftop tent or stuff in tow. Very disappointed in our travel snacks and will only buy gas there from now on. read more

OMG! what can I say? It's Buc-ee's! Hands down the best gas stop ever. Honestly, it's more of a destination than just a pit stop! If you're in Texas, stopping at Buc-ee's is a must. This is one of the newer locations, and I'm so excited they opened one in Amarillo! There are tons of gas pumps, including diesel, and the store inside is massive. It's divided into sections like home goods, souvenirs, snacks, drinks, jerky, and so much more. The restrooms are always spotless, and I constantly see employees cleaning, which says a lot about how well it's maintained. The customer service is consistently friendly and helpful. Overall, Buc-ee's never disappoints, it's always a fantastic stop! read more

Do NOT get gas here if you love your car or the environment. They have faulty nozzles with auto shut offs that don't work. They also don't service their pumps and don't follow protocol to shut the pumps down. Their negligence could have turned into something bad. The auto nozzle on the pump failed and I couldn't get it to stop spewing gas everywhere. It took two of us to stop it. In all my years, never have witnessed such chaos. Assistant manager named Karen (fitting), refused to refund or assist. Actually blamed me for the problem. Will never give this company anymore money. Also, I learned they have a F rating on BBB and hundreds of unanswered complaints online. Their customer service doesn't exist. Please heed this warning and do NOT get gas here!! "Buc-ee's" is a Texas staple that really stands up to the claim that everything is bigger in Texas. And now we have one in Amarillo. This is, in fact, the furthest west Buc-ee's in the state now that it's open. Plus it's on I-40, so it's just a matter of time before it becomes even more overrun [than it already is] with out-of-towners looking for a Texas-sized experience. The Beaver Nuggets that they're known for are, as best as I can describe them, a sweet take on cheese doodles/puffs. People come from far and wide to get ahold of them. But my personal favorite items are another Texas staple: the brisket sandwiches and the beef jerky. I love it when they throw down a new slab of brisket and the whole crew loudly proclaims "brisket on the board!" If you're lucky, you may find somebody wandering the store in a Buc-ee costume to snag a picture with. Aside from the food, which only makes up half of this supermarket-sized "convenience store", there are lots of other items. Kitchen and decor. Apparel. Toys and tchotchkes. Buc-ee's branded merchandise galore. Outside there are a whole 180 gas pumps and ample additional parking for all manner of vehicles. The only thing they don't allow in is semi-trucks, but there is diesel at every pump, too. It's dangerous to now have a Buc-ee's this close to home, because I'll be back more often to dispense more of my money upon them. read more

Huge Buc-ee's fan! We have been waiting for summer vaca to stop at this new location. We have Buc-ee's hanging from rear view mirror, seat belt cover, phone stand, pillow, garden flag, t shirts. My poor grandson has been decked out in Buc-ee's swimsuits, sunhats, toys and anything we can find...lol. This location is perfect place for travelers! We love the club melt they have and I have to get a sweet tea. Some locations are better at trimming fat off of Brisket sandwiches. This one was way fatty. It's hit or miss but best at Fort Worth location. We spend alot every visit with getting several bags of pineapple popcorn, Pecan logs, cookies, pumpkin bread, candie pecans. Great place to buy for Christmas gifts. They have great t shirts and keep receipts for exchanges. It's just amazing! Bathrooms clean and have lights to tell you which one is occupied/red or open /green light. Don't laugh because when super busy it's needed. So can't wait for new one in AZ to be done. This place is a definite stop if traveling the I-40 going East or West. We don't have these in California, but I wish we did. It's like the Costco of gas stations, only so much more than the just gas and last minute purchases. It really is an experience. All kinds of snacks, nuts, jerky, candy. Hungry? Try the fresh made brisket sandwiches, and kettle chips. Stop at the fudge bar for some delicacies to satisfy your sweet tooth. Need gifts? Buc-ees gifts are plentiful, as well there is kitchenwares and gift baskets to satisfy your pickiest family member. Let me say what I love first. I look forward to road trips and stopping at Buc-ee's. I literally give people Buc--ees gifts for Christmas because I love this place. But the place that you guys drop the ball so badly is unapologetically offering very few choices for people who choose not to eat meat. This morning we were so excited to make it to Amarillo to get a biscuit with egg and cheese only to find out that they would not "alter the food .. company policy" They could l easily eave the meat on the side as they were right there in the process of putting together the biscuits. We would have taken the bacon on the side for our dogs. So technically they were still giving the bacon with the biscuit but it would have just been on a tissue paper instead of on the biscuit itself. We were left to eat their potato, cheese and taco breakfast burrito that was damn near inedible. For $3.99 there wasn't 50 cents worth of food in it. It was so small and tasted old like it had been sitting under the heat lamps for a long time. They didn't even have to kill a cow or a pig for it so for it to be $3.99 for what little bit was in it absolutely made no sense and was of little value to us. The tater tots were cold also. In this modern day of 2026, I do not understand why a simple egg and cheese biscuit couldn't be offered for your faithful customers who choose not to eat meat? It just seems like such a small thing to include on your menu and if you are afraid that you can't sell a lot then just have them be at special request. Like I said we were sitting here watching her put the sandwiches together and it would have taken nothing for her to just put the bacon on the side and wrap the biscuit and hand all of it to us. We love the bathrooms because they are always clean and it is so easy to get in and out to get gas so we appreciate all that you do right. But please consider having an item like an egg and cheese biscuit on your menu or an egg and cheese croissant as it would take so little effort on your part and would make a huge difference for people like us. read more

Unknowingly purchased a pair of swim trunks (thought they were shorts) and they were wrong the size. Walked out the door realized they were the wrong size walked back in to try to exchange them. They wouldn't take them back. They just kept pointing to the return policy sign and refused to take them back. They were $70! I spoke to a team lead and the manager. Make sure you know what you are purchasing and getting the correct size. They will not budge even on a 5 minute old purchase with tags on. So much for friendly customer service. read more

Sadly my first trip to Buc-ee-s was tainted by the rudest incompetent cashier! I stopped after driving 14 hours! I was so excited to see they had a Buc-ee-s in Amarillo. We pulled in and instantly I felt like a kid at Christmas. Then, when I saw the coffee bar, WOW. I couldn't wait. This was the caffeine I needed for the last 8 hours of our trip. We finished shopping and I went to pay. I told the cashier Mary Sam or Sam Mary(?) my daughter had a cup of ice and I had a cup of iced coffee. She informed me I grabbed the wrong cup. Rudely, "Iced coffee has to be in a clear cup! Styrofoam cups are for ice or fountain drinks!!" I apologized and explained that I wanted styrofoam to keep my coffee cold. I explained she could charge me for 2 drinks iced coffee and a fountain drink or whatever. I didn't care. I'll pay ‍ NOPE! The cashier rudely said "iced coffee must be in the clear iced coffee cup. I can't charge you extra or let you leave the store with it in the styrofoam fountain cup. It is our policy, that it must be in a clear cup! You can't leave this store with it in that cup!" WTC! ‍ So, I left it. Told her she could keep the damn thing. Instead of charging me extra, which I gladly offered, she would rather cost the company money and waste product and a used styrofoam cup! A must-stop for travelers! 100+ gas pumps. Clean restrooms with private stalls. Soda, Icees, coffee, tea, beer and wine. All kinds of food for breakfast to dinner made on site- fresh and good. Bakery and BBQ and snacks. Gifts and clothing and toys, oh my! This place was busy and first time I have had to wait in a long line for women's restrooms- but there are so many stalls that the wait was minimal. As a vegetarian, there's one thing they serve that I can eat. A vegetarian burrito. They are (usually) delicious. Brand new Buc-ee's in Amarillo... I bought a "veggie burrito" after reading the ingredients. Ate about 1/3 and bit into what felt like thick tortilla. It was DEAD CHICKEN! There is CHICKEN in Buc-ee's veggie burrito, but it is NOT listed. I threw up in their parking lot... I couldn't help myself. I went inside to take back the DEAD CHICKEN burrito and the cashier LAUGHED! Texas Vegetarian? WTF! Then they called a manager, who also had a smirk on her face. Spotless restrooms. Friendly staff. Horrible coffee. We stopped twice passing through and the coffee was so bad the first time we dumped it out. Stopped again on the way home and nearly the same. It's not fresh, tastes burnt and over all it's awful. Disappointing as I love Buccees and we always stop but no more for coffee. read more

Worth the Drive from Albuquerque! I absolutely adore Buc-ee's in Amarillo! We live in Albuquerque and yes, we will drive for it -- and we did. Who can resist a brisket sandwich, some amazing jerky, and just the whole Buc-ee's experience? Phenomenal. This location is incredible. I wish they had one in New Mexico, but honestly, I don't think anyone here could run it quite as well as Texas. Every visit, the staff is fantastic, the store is spotless, and the restrooms are insanely clean. We always stop by for a delicious sandwich or some updated Buc-ee's gear and it never disappoints. If you haven't been, this place is an absolute must. 10/10 every time! read more

My husband accidentally grabbed a regular Red Bull. As he was walking out of the store he realized it and went back in and asked to exchange it for a sugarfree Red Bull. He is a diabetic and the manager told him no because he walked out and came back in. This is not food and the can was not opened. this is crazy to me. I've never had a bad experience at any Buc-ees. So I just don't understand how this person couldn't be kind and understanding about someone's health. Sorry if you were having a bad day, but you are in a customer service so try to be understanding that people make mistakes and help them out. Arrived around lunch time, super busy inside but no wait anywhere. Food is decent both in price and quality. No wait at the deli department, no wait at the bathroom, no wait at the checkout!! The staff are doing such a splendid job directing people through checkout and keeping the place neat. At this winter temp, there's staff constantly checking outside for trash and cleaning out trash can. The bathrooms are solid walls with no giant gaps and door cracks. They really upgraded the gas station to a whole new experience. read more

I've been to many Buc-ee's. McKinney, Denton, Terrell, Temple, etc. The Amarillo location is below the standard. We stopped twice, to and from our vacation destination in the Rockies. The first stop introduced us to a big lie about having DEF as advertised on the north side of the fuel pumps. No DEF there. You need to go to the south side as I learned on our way home. The first stop we didn't go inside, a wise choice. The second stop we found the DEF on the south end. We went inside. Men's stalls all occupied. The one open one was dirty. Urine on the seat and the floor. The attendant wasn't moving fast. First I've found even a drop of pee in Buc-ee's. The turkey sandwich was on par. The fried Beaver Chips were stale. My wife went back in to replace them. The second batch wasn't much better. I appreciate the fuel prices, especially diesel. We might not go inside next time. read more

BBQ is way better, indoor seating amd great gas prices. Clean bathrooms. We travel this route monthly but will not be visiting Buccees. Buc-ees is a fantastic reprieve from reality! You can wander through a land of snacks, skip along the walls of drink options, and gaze longingly over the mountain of fresh, hot sandwiches. All before even entering the forest of licensed products! Seriously though, Buc-ees has so much fun stuff available, and delicious food, and clean bathrooms, and they pay their employees a decent wage. I am happy to support them by purchasing road trip snacks and the occasional beaver themed trinket. read more
