Highlight of our whole trip. (To Dallas TX from Bullhead City AZ for an insurance agent conference.) First time in a Buc-ee's. This one is in Amarillo TX. Locals in Dallas recommended we stop. All I can say is WOW! Didn't know what to expect, This place is huge! Great tasting coffee! Great tasting brisket. Clean restrooms. Free samples of fresh beef jerky(whatever flavor you choose). Free samples of fresh fudge. Lots of last minute gifts to choose from and not just souvenirs (though they have lots of those too). I was in beef jerky heaven! We are talking good quality homemade jerky here folks! The type I grew up on back in the 70's! Gas priced 10 cents cheaper than surrounding gas stations. Highly recommend this place. read more

I never drive past Buc-ee's without stopping. You just can't find food like this back in California. The place is huge, super clean, and the food is on another level. I'm giving Buc-ee's an 8.5/10 Bathrooms are CLEAN! And super efficient with the red light green light system to know if a stall is occupied The brisket sandwich is BOMB and so are the beaver chips (fresh potato chips) They have a lot of variety but they have things in multiple sections so that there are no traffic jams in the store Lots of registers so even though it's packed we didn't have to wait in line I took off points because some of the shit in there is truly unnecessary and even though there are a million gas pumps people can't drive so it was chaotic and stressful Final review: worth the stop if it's on your way somewhere, unless you want to try the food I wouldn't go out of my way read more

Stopped here to meet the new owners of one of our foster dogs who now lives in Texas. This is one of the newest in Texas and simple huge. Everything about Buc-ee's is great and they are consistent. Plenty of gas pumps, lots of grass areas for dogs, and huge extremely clean restrooms. They have delicious and great variety of food, drink and, snacks, and of course tons of merchandise. The biggest Bucees I've seen to date! I lost count of how many pumps, but ample parking spaces near the store. Today they were popping out brisket and pulled pork, fried chicken sandwiches, taco, burritos, etc to keep up with the influx of customers. There were alot of people, as it normally is at a Bucees. The cashier was running two registers to keep the lines down and they were yelling their welcomes as every person walked through the doors. Restrooms were spotless and shelves were stocked. There was no lack of goodies. Bucee himself was there giving out waves and hugs! Getting out of the parking lot took some time but eventually we did and eventually we were on the road again. I have literally never heard of Buc-ee's like ever and my husband pumped me up about it way before I even looked it up, so I was excited to check it out. I guess Buc-ee's is a big deal out here for tourists. It's basically a fancy truckstop and a must for us out of towners. There's something for everyone in the family so make sure to bring everyone! There's tons of gas pumps outside so you know you won't have a wait time, but that's not all!! They have everything you need inside for your trip. We mainly came to check out the food... as always! ;-) Food did not disappoint! The brisket was really good and I highly recommend the brisket breakfast burrito! It's sooo good! Even the tortilla was bomb, it tasted homemade and it was warmed up properly. If you're in a rush to grab a few items, this is not the place for you. You need to be able to look around to get a good glance. I will definitely come back, but the next time I need to slow it down a notch because I was extremely overwhelmed and over stimulated that I did not know where to start and what to get. Me, my son and my husband went our separate ways since we all got distracted, but we all ended up getting a little bit of everything. I'm a total Buc-ee's snob! My boyfriend created a monster when he brought me here the first time a couple months ago on a roadtrip to Chicago. Now I'm hooked & cannot wait for the Goodyear, Arizona location to be built & opened! They have so much to see here & this store is very clean, organized, & well stocked. Also the friendliest people! I absolutely 100% recommend Buc-ees at all times. I get so excited flying to Texas (yes I know the are in some other areas) because I know I will get to go to this truck stop. Is it ever a stop for me just for gas? UH No. Listen want clean bathrooms this place always sets the standard. There are drink walls (yep drinks for entire walls) including 4-5 fountain type stations and then cooler cases. There are barbecue areas with a ton of fresh options (brisket, pork, chicken, etc etc etc), fresh jerky counter (think meat counter but just for their jerky - try Bohemian Garlic and Steakhouse they are amazing), hot nuts areas (yep they actually roast and rotate the nuts themselves), fudge counter, snacks walls and candy walls. Pretty much any snack you want they have. I LOVE their rice krispy treats and cookie dough bites as well, They have pickle packs, lunch meat packs (think snackables for adults), crackers, chips etc. They also have sundries and then an entire half of the store is also gifts and fun things to get for others or yourself to remember the area you are in and/or get gifts for others. They also have a whole outdoor area to get camping etc supplies. Service is also always amazing. Need something just ask. My only complaint is that they don't allow Semi's. I guess I kinda understand why but also not really. If the root cause is a messy area then address that. Don't prevent the truckers from this amazing store. Something to think about ... read more

First time stopping at Buc-ees. First of all, clean bathrooms which is a huge bonus for any stops on a road trip. We didn't try any food but obviously a million gas pumps, lots of food options and endless souvenirs. I ended up getting a few souvenirs to take home! 1st time at this location, 2nd Buc-ee's ever visited. They do not disappoint. All locations pretty much have the same lay-out, some just have more gas pumps than others (at least 100 pumps). Fuel was only $2.479/gal during my visit so I had more $ for snacks. They also have a big grassy area for dogs to do their business in. Staff greeted us as soon as we walked in and they do give free samples for their jerky ($29.99/lb) but worth it to have good snacks when on a road trip. Plenty of clean restrooms as well. They have tons of selections for snacks, candies, souvenirs, clothing, etc. It's a One-Stop Shop, no wonder everyone loves Buc-ee's! read more

I'd heard of Buc-ee's but this was my first experience. Wow huge. The gas pumps probably around 70 of them then we went inside to look around came out with $60 worth of junk food LOL. They had clothes and electronics and all kinds of stuff but we just got some snacks their chicken fingers and fries were pretty good and got some fudge and chips and jerky they had a lot of different variety of everything. I think they are building one of these about an hour from where we live I'm excited. Loves truck stop used to be my go-to place for snacks for road trips but this this will take it. Super clean, as always. Buc-ee's sets the standard there. Inside, it's like an amusement park for fast-food and convenience store fans. They've got so much stuff you never see in a regular gas station or even some gift shops -- from their own branded beef jerky and unique-flavor popcorn, to brisket sandwiches, breakfast tacos, and every kind of snack you can think of. The food? Let's be honest -- it's the "good but bad for you" kind, and that's exactly why I love it. Perfect road-trip fuel. They also have tons of merch -- shirts, plushies, souvenirs -- and it's all Buc-ee's branded. I even stopped again on the way back home, because I can't pass up a Buc-ee's when I'm in Texas. We went there today normally we have a good experience, but today was terrible, we bought two brisket sandwiches and that's what they were brisket sandwiches, then we purchased two Brisket burritos on the wrapper read brisket burritos and we thought they were all brisket like the sandwiches, but no.... only a couple pieces of brisket including a piece of or two of fat, rice and a ton of beans and some sort of liquid cheese. When I took this back to the store to exchange it for the brisket sandwiches they would not honor a return, saying I should have read the label, when it clearly reads brisket burrito here are two pictures of what their brisket burrito looks like. This Buc-ee's was my favorite one out of the 3 that we visited; The staff was super friendly, and they were all chanting something to each other--it was hard to make out exactly what, but they were laughing and having a great time with each other. The bathroom was clean, and the food was really tasty. I stopped by their "by the pound" jerky section, and the staff there was just as friendly. They made some small talk, asked where we were headed, and allowed us to try as many samples as we wanted. It was a great experience. read more

It's a Buc-ees's. Need I say more? Okay, fine. I'll write a review for anybody who's been living under a rock, in the mountains, on another planet, transported through time from the 50's, that hasn't heard of or been to a Buc-ees's. Need gas? Try a gajillion pumps available. Okay, so maybe not a gajillion, but they average around 100 pumps a store. So if you can't find one available I recommend you stumble around in the dark until you find an optometrist. Need a clean bathroom? Try about a gajillio ... yeah, you can see where I'm (a-hem), going here. In the immortal words of R. Lee Ermy in Full Metal Jacket; "These heads are so clean and sanitized that the Virgin Mary herself would be happy to go in there and take a dump". I know, crass, but true! Amazing bbq and fudge made right there, and about 30,000 square feet of store means if they don't have it, you don't need it. Heck, I even purchased a metal Texas themed fire pit from them. There is plenty of parking and grass around the perimeter with bag stations available so you can let your puppers stretch their legs, but no fenced area so keep them on a leash. The only thing they don't allow at Buc-ees's are big rigs, so you won't have to worry about dodging any of those. Buc-ees's, it's not just a gas station, it's a destination! read more

Love the food options - brisket and fudge are always good selections. reason for this location getting only 3 stars - visited twice in a 3 day period and both times the restrooms were DISGUSTING (like...buc-ee's is known for having superior restrooms, nope - the womens restrooms had several stalls on both days that were horrible. Blood and feces on toilets, paper towels and soap out). Also, this location does not have Coke products in their fountains - disappointing. Lastly, the main exit from the parking lot was not well thought out and hard to navigate. read more

First timer here! I've heard so many things about buc-ee's and when we were passing through Texas I had to get my hubby to stop here so we can check it out. Got a front row parking and was so excited to go in, we got greeted immediately by friendly staff and there was sooo much to see. The jerky wall had so many options and I had to buy the cutest tumbler. The place was very clean and organized, these people are on top of their store cleanliness and as a mom of 4 I'm so thankful for it when it comes to the restrooms. My kiddos even got to take a pic with buc-ee himself! Also picked up some delicious lemon bars that were so sinful to eat which I was upset about cause I only got 1 and wish I bought another. And if you come here get the pulled pork sandwich with bbq sauce, it's like country comfort, if I could wrap myself in that sandwich I'd die happy. read more
