They said the clipper kept getting caught in her fur and pulled her skin off. But they didn't stop until a larger chunk of her skin got pulled off requiring 3 stitches (why didn't you stop when she was screaming?). Masha was so traumatized she needed steroids for weeks to get her to digest food properly. To make matters worse, the Bubbly Paws leadership tried to blame it on me saying she had matting all over (no that's just a Pomeranian undercoat and why are you using a clipper anyway?!) Then the executives said they would pay for her vet bills and mailed me a check. THEN THE CHECK BOUNCED (are you serious?!) and I still have not been compensated. What a bunch of arrogant greedy crooks. I feel so bad for my puppy. read more

When we first started taking our dogs here it was really good, until it wasn't. We had a bad experience with a groomer, so we requested someone else. Then the last minute cancellations started. Four, in fact. The place seemed to become increasingly disorganized and chaotic. Our last visit the two staff members told us that the franchise owner had not been paying staff, nor utilities, and that their business license was expired. We bounced. Our regular groomer down the street was booked way out and we were able to get in quick to see a groomer at this Bubbly Paws location to give our furry little guy an urgent haircut to survive hot and humid Minnesota summer! The day we arrived it was pouring (monsoon, is more like it!) but I was relieved to see they had at least a small parking lot right next to them and I was able to snag a spot - score! The interior is super cute and I was greeted by a friendly hostess. They have self service baths for anyone looking for that. Our groomer was Rose. Within 2 hours, I got a text they were all wrapped up. Note their policy requires pickup within 30 min or you'll accrue a fine for them holding on to pets. I wasn't too far and made it just in time even with inclement weather -- which luckily stopped by the time I arrived in order for my freshly groomed fur baby to stay dry and fresh. Rose did a great job! My dog smelled great and she honored my request to go short but keep his face more rounded. Btw this was a full service groom (cut, bath, teeth, nails, the whole shabang) and it was a little pricey. After 20% tip it amounted to just under $85 -- eek, a bit steep, given he gets groomed every 6 weeks. That price is the only thing keeping me from switching over from my regular groomer (where with the same tip I pay $62) but I'll be back once in a while and know they'll have done a great job. read more

This place was a HUGE disappointment. Made an appointment about a month out due to COVID and limited amount of dogs they can take (totally understand). I went in and was totally ignored for 5 minutes. Then they asked me for vet paperwork - I was totally unaware that this was needed and they had a month to give me this information or requirement. Not ideal service. Hope they can get more organized- the facility looks too good for the service. read more

Took my large breed dog in for a full service bath. We asked, and were told, expressing the anal glands is included. So I assumed that was done. Alas, my poor boy was having major issues in that area, which necessitated a trip to the vet, who confirmed his anal glands were extremely full. I'm very disappointed that something so routine, that we specifically asked about, wasn't done, and resulted in a $150 vet bill. This is a very cute shop, but I don't think we'll be back. read more

Attempted to make a self service appointment online for like four hours today and it didn't work. So I finally just drove there in hopes to maybe talk to someone and make a appointment. You also cannot talk to anyone at all for any questions on the phone. They aren't taking any calls. Once I got there they were closed at 6:20pm. Everywhere online says they are open until 8pm. Another person pulled up as well to use the dog wash and was disappointed they were closed. Why have your website, Facebook, AND yelp say you are open until 8 but close at 6??? This was my first visit to this location and also the first professional grooming my one year old Samoyed has received. When I got there they let me know I needed the paperwork for his rabies vaccination - I had no idea it was needed, but I was able to call his vet and they emailed it over right then and it worked just fine so no issue there - just be aware that if it's your first time you need it or they can't service you. Dani was my groomer, and she did everything I asked for regarding his trimming and did a fantastic job. I have a Samoyed (very hairy big dog, takes a lot of time to wash and dry) and I thought the pricing was very fair. He rarely needs to be seen by a groomer since he only occasionally will need a trim, but it was well worth the visit and he looks awesome. He's so soft!Great experience, the two hosts I spoke with were super friendly as well. Highly recommended! read more

The place is very well set up and easy to use. The friendly staff will help you in whatever you need. They keep it very clean, and both you and your pooch will have a lot of fun there. Parking your car won't be easy on weekends but it's not like there's no parking to be had. read more

Booked my elderly dog for full grooming and picked her up and noticed at home that there was a brown muck around both ears. Took pics and sent them in and the groomers said to bring her back in, that they were sorry to miss that. They also cut my dog's hair way too short and in a way that didn't contour with her breed (Australian shepherd). Finally, their cancellation policy is very punitive - if you have to cancel the same day due to your dog becoming ill or for any reason (they don't care) you will still be charged full price whereas other places usually charge a reasonable fee. You can never get them on the phone and they never respond to texts. THIS IS A BAD BUSINESS RUN BY CORPORATE HACKS IN MINNEAPOLIS AND THEIR POLICIES AREN'T FAIR FOR EITHER GROOMERS OR CLIENTS. I've found Dig It Dog in Roseville and even Grand Groomers across the street from BPaws to be much more reasonable and much more professional. read more

Went on a Saturday at 5:15 to wash my dog after the dog park. Checked their business online, says they're open until 6. Perfect, seeing as my little dog takes maybe 10 minutes to wash. We get there and apparently they stop letting people in to wash an hour before they close. I get that if it was packed and they didn't want people waiting past closing time, but this place was completely empty. So she turned us away. You lost money for what reason? We drove 15 minutes out of our way to get there to be turned away from an empty place. Totally makes sense. We won't try again. read more

This place is absolutely fantastic for washing your mutt to pure breed. Washtubs I said it right height so you don't break your back while washing your dog. Just wish they would water down the Shampoo as much. Plenty of towels and accessories, definitely have to try it if you never have read more

I just spent $70 to get my 15lb dog groomed. They required proof that his rabies vaccine was up to date and then they called me to tell me they found two dead fleas on my dog. Which scared the shit out of me and raised all kinds of flags. Then they forgot to call me to tell me he was ready cause they had my number wrong? Even though they called me once already about the fleas. And then I pick him up and his haircut is uneven, they skipped his face and ears and they hurried to do that while I waited and it's all just bad. I don't recommend this place. You can't be that particular and specific and rigid and then suck that hard at what you do. read more

I have taken my dog to a different location and had a wonderful experience. I called this location to get an appointment for my dog to be groomed and was told he was so poorly behaved they shouldn't even be grooming him but will give him another chance. What?? The man on the phone then went on to tell me about all the things my dog did wrong. He has very bad anxiety and I always tip well knowing he can be difficult in situations like that. It just confused me because the lady who groomed him last time said he did so well. I would not recommend this business for dogs with anxiety or people who like good respectful costumer service. read more

This place has the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. The two times I scheduled with them the groomer has taken a day off for personal or health reasons. Their approach is to reschedule you for the next scheduled opening like you are calling in for a new appointment. No effort to try and get you in sooner. The second time I pointed out they should make some effort to get people they have canceled in ASAP. The reply I got was the manager would get back to me the next day...I do not know about most people but I texed that was unacceptable. What I then got was an angry beligererant owner calling me up a few minutes later insulting me and ultimately threatening to sue me if I left a bad review....bring it on! read more

Bubbly Paws on Chicago Ave, is a great addition to the neighborhood. It is clean, new and fun spot to stop in with your pet. I have used the self cleaning baths and grooming services multiple times. The staff has been great every time. Not having a good spot to bath my dog in the winter or not so nice days, this place is perfect. Less mess for me to clean up when doing at shop versus home. Excellent place to bring your dog for a spruce-up without all of the mess and fuss of doing it in your own home. Kind staff are there to assist you through the process and can recommend specialty shampoo, etc., to help your dog with dry skin and such. Dogs are well cared for in this open concept, well-lit, Brand new space. Beyond the specialized, elevated tubs, there are combs and brushes for detangling and the best part in my opinion is the drying room where your pet can get their own blow-out and ensure multiple layers of coat are not only clean but dry too. I highly recommend you give this dog wash a try for yourself- you'll be thankful you did! read more

I would look elsewhere if possible. We took our poodle pup, Bailey, in for a haircut before our wedding (under my wife's name) about 6 weeks ago because our regular groomer was booked up. On the positive side, they managed to find an appointment time for us. However, they charged $40-50 more than our normal vet, partially because they added "dematting" fees that were pretty questionable. Questionable because she only had mild matting on her ears, which has never been an issue for our regular groomer. They also demand you pick your dog up within 30 mins of finishing, but they took over an hour and a half longer than scheduled. They explained by saying our dog, then 35 pounds, was unhappy and difficult. I'll add that our dog has never had an issue with "being upset" with our normal groomer so we found it especially concerning she was so unhappy here. Additionally, they gave her a pretty strange cut: the ears were trimmed short and the coat was left almost one inch long. They said this was, again, because of matting, but we've never had an issue like that before. This was also right at the end of May and she had to go back in within weeks to get a proper summer haircut. In sum, they gave her a very low quality budget haircut but charged a good bit more than our standard groomer. I was even more unimpressed with how they tried to push all the blame onto the dog. Honestly, I expect professional groomers to be able to manage a puppy. read more
