The second visit started out more like a 3.5 star and changed to a 5 star. The receptionist was very nice, the first groomer was pretty gruff with our dog. Her haircut was great on her face and body, but the feet were long. We actually brought her back to a different groomer at Club Mutts, and the entire staff was great. Very nice to her, apologetic, and moved their schedules around to fix her cut. They handled the whole thing so well. We think it was just a one time incident and definitely will be back. We recommend Club Mutts to others as well!!!

I was picking up within business hours but told I was late. Apparently they left message about closing early. So, they stated they are overbooked and busy when I came in yet they unexpectedly closed early? Also, claimed it's my fault I did not get message they'd sent a little over an hour earlier asking me to pick up dog now.... Really?? The early closure and pick up was not relayed at drop off. There was also blood on entry floor. When I pointed it out it was like not big deal.... It was there when I picked up dogs.

I never figured out what happened, but I trusted her cues and started looking elsewhere. I found Just Paws by chance, and I'm so glad I did. The prices initially caught my attention (best I've seen), but what really stood out was Jessica's approach. She keeps things small and calm--only a few dogs at a time, minimal kenneling, and a clear focus on each dog's comfort. You can tell she genuinely cares. The biggest proof? My dog LOVES going. I'll say "let's go see Jessica," and she runs to the car. She's always happy when I pick her up, and after two years, we won't go anywhere else. Even my neighbor now brings both of her dogs here. I have a 70lb goldendoodle who doesn't always arrive clean--sand, chalk, even gum--and Jessica handles it all without complaint. I've also brought her in matted before and have only ever been met with kindness, never judgment. My dog hates nail trims, and Jessica always honors my request and lets me come in to help comfort her, which has made a huge difference. If you're looking for a high-fashion, show-style groom, this may not be your place--but honestly, I wouldn't know because we go for function over fashion. If you want someone who treats your dog with genuine care and respect, Just Paws is it.
