honestly shout out to this place for inventing the worst boba i've ever had…read more i decided to give this place a chance since they have very few reviews, but i wish i could have my $7 back. the boba is hard as rocks and the "milk tea" is 95% milk with a splash of some flavoring. it tastes like the milk tea bobas in a can you'd get at any asian grocery store: cheap tasting, hard boba, lacking flavor. i definitely will not be back. sucks that's the only boba spot in this half of the state isn't good. gotta go near vernon hills for better.

I came across this boba shop while looking for boba cafes nearby on Google Maps, and it looked…read morerelatively new, so I wanted to check it out. My fiancé and I ordered a thai milk tea with boba and a mango smoothie with boba. The drinks only come in one cup size, which is pretty large. The thai tea was good, but the mango smoothie was a bit icy and overly sweet. Of note, I asked for 50% sweetness on the thai tea, and my fiancé asked for 75% sweetness on the mango smoothie. The sweetness level on the thai tea tasted just right at 50%, so I can't imagine what it would've been at 100%. However, the mango smoothie was definitely way too sweet. We both liked the boba pearls. They were nice and chewy. Something to note: they do not sell just regular milk tea here, which I found interesting. They sell a milk tea latte* which the cashier explained is like your basic milk tea mixed with coffee. I would've liked to see a basic milk tea. Additionally, their taro milk tea is made from powder, which is pretty common. (Looking for a place that uses real taro though!) With regards to affordability, the drinks seemed a bit overpriced for what you get. They were around $5.50/drink and then an additional cost for boba (or other toppings). Finally, the inside was empty and quiet when we came, and there were several tables to sit at. The boba cafe looked pretty clean, and it is connected to Ohsio Sushi next door.

On social media, people are gushing over mochi donuts. It's only sparked my curiosity, and I'm…read morethrilled I found one near me. It's a charming tiny donut bakery with essential design. There is plenty of seating for you to enjoy your sweets. Apart from mochi donuts, they also provide Korean-style corn dogs and captivating beverages. I chose the strawberry mochi donut because it was the only flavor I liked. The donuts have an unusual form, like a beaded bracelet. The exterior is brittle, and the texture is quite chewy. I got the mango all the way with a tapioca add-on to accompany my donut. I'd never had a mango smoothie served in this manner before. It's rich and creamy, and I presume they incorporate it with condensed milk to achieve this thick texture. Mochi donuts are my favorite, even more so than conventional donuts. Because of the texture, I'll definitely get a dozen the next time I visit.

Cute cafe with mochi donuts, smoothies, corn dogs and milk and fruit tea…read more I enjoyed my Rose Milk Tea with added Sea foam. We tried chocolate and matcha mochi donuts. The donuts were fresh and chewy, with a light glaze frosting, not cakey or overly sweet. This is a sweet space, pastel pink, with an ivy-decorated wall and about six small tables. I wanted to try pudding on my tea (they were sold out) so I will have to come back and try it along with some other mochi donuts. Lots of interesting flavors and add-on options!
