I stopped by Haraz Coffee in Gurnee early one morning with my laptop, and it was the perfect time to get some work done. The place was quiet, the decor is chic and stylish, and there's plenty of parking. It seems like a great spot for meetings, catching up with friends, or just hanging out with your laptop. They also stay open late, which is a huge plus! I ordered the Cloud Matcha and absolutely loved it! The matcha tasted high quality and had the perfect amount of sweetness--not overly sweet, which I really appreciate. It was such a refreshing drink for a hot summer day. Did I mention how cold it was inside? Seriously, they keep it COLD in there! Definitely bring a light layer if you're planning to sit for a while. I'm a matcha snob, and honestly, the matcha drinks I've tried around the area haven't quite been up to par. This one definitely hit the spot, so Haraz is officially going on my list as my new go-to when I'm craving matcha. Service was friendly, and there's lots of parking. I imagine it can get pretty crowded later in the day, but I really enjoyed the quiet morning atmosphere. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other items on the menu! read more

Recently opened in Gurnee, not too far from Six Flags. We decided to stop by for a quick pick me up, we came first thing in the morning during the week as they are always busy on the weekends or whenever we drive by. We got in right before the rush, but felt the need to hurry and order because folks were steadily coming in right behind us. We decided to try one of their chicken sandwich, and one of their beef sandwiches. Both were in a croissant and were heated up, it was absolutely delicious. Sort of like a kebob in a sandwich, full of flavor and not dry at all. To drink, I got the mango cloud matcha, and it was so good! It sort of reminded me of a mango sticky rice with matcha. But I was told to come back and try the Banana latte, so I definitely will get that next time. Overall, a really pretty coffee shop and the staff was super friendly and answered all of the questions including giving recommendations. The parking lot gets kinda crazy during busy times but there is parking all the way around the building so be sure to circle around. read more

The space was absolutely beautiful, the customer service was outstanding, and the menu offered so many unique and tempting options that it was hard to choose just one. I stopped in with a friend to this new location if Haraz and it was consistently busy. The drinks are made fresh and they are strong and delicious. They are a little bit pricier than some shops but I find they are on par with other Yemeni places. Deducting a star because neither restroom has a change table for babies and as a mom, this is frustrating and I likely would not stop by with a child. read more

I was excited to try this coffee house because I was thrilled to have an alternative to Sbux in the neighborhood. It did not disappoint! I normally order an Americano or Cortado, but wanted to try something new. I asked what would be the most representative option, and was guided to the Haraz Mufawar. Typically, it is sweetened, though I tried it initially without sugar. Then, added one packet. The sugar very much brought out the flavors of the coffee and cardamom. The ambiance was lovely (I never even put my earbuds in) as I did some work on my laptop. While they do offer WiFi, I tethered to my phone (personal preference). Overall, I was pleased and look forward to my seeing next visit to try something else on the menu. read more

The service was terrible came in ordered 2 cloud matchas, to go. Waited over 20 mins when our buzzer went off. She had 2 matchas there but stated those weren't ours even though the buzzer she gave us was going off. So we proceeded to wait. All while those matchas just sat. 10 more mins go buy and the workers start discussing who's matchas those are. I spoke up and told her she said those weren't ours despite our buzzer going off. She then proceeded to get an attitude with me even though she was confusing me with another customer. I asked them to make my drinks again because paying $24 for 2 matchas was ridiculous. Especially after waiting 30+ mins. But then she proceeded to yell and argue so I asked them to just give me a refund. Which they just remade my drinks and we left. I'm reasonably well traveled and can honestly say this was the best coffee I've ever had in my life. I ordered the Salted Caramel Latte. For the whole experience, I'd recommend that you get it in their 'dine-in' cup. The portion size is large, the display beautiful and the taste...oh so good. The froth texture gave hints of creme brulee and arrived with a heart image. I asked for a spoon, and was given a lovely golden-toned piece of metal flatware. This is definitely a place I will return to. While a little pricey, I found it worth every cent. I can't wait to return and try something new. So thrilled they are here so close to home. read more

Came to Haraz Gurnee for the first time today 9/8/26 for a study session. Maybe not my best option for a coffee and study sesh as it was noisy and busy (my own fault not theirs) You're first welcomed in by a strong scent of air freshener which pairs well with the aroma of coffee. But as I stayed a while the scent went away and it started to smell like bathroom (maybe because I was near the restroom?) Still did not enjoy the smell of fart while I tried to enjoy my food and drink :( Initially I was very captivated by the reviews I had read and had high expectations. Ordered the Salted Caramel Latte in a dine in cup and a Chicken club sandwich. Took about 20 min to receive it, but they bring it to your table so you're not hovering over the counter. Although the coffee was delicious, it lacked the "salty" and even caramel taste. One review said it had a creme brûlée flavor which I'm agreeable to as well as a subtle hint of cinnamon. Still really enjoyed the coffee and the foam that was laid on top! The sandwich on the other hand, not my favorite. It was small and for $11 I expected it to be larger than the size of my fist. They gave ONE slice of deli meat chicken, one slice of tomato, one slice of cheese, what seemed to be three slivers of onion, soggy lettuce, and a chipotle sauce that carried the flavor of the sandwich. Bread was fluffy and easy to bite into without scratching the roof of your mouth as the sandwich was warmed! Disappointed is to say the least. When you spend over $20 on a coffee and sandwhich you tend to have high expectations, especially when I know that my order at bucks has never let me down (even though they just heat up a sandwich, but at half the price). Will not go again for the food, but will return for coffee, pastries, and hanging out with friends! read more

The drinks are pretty and the atmosphere is chill and the service was amazing, however for pure coffee lovers I felt like this wasn't it, the spices and everything else that goes into these beautiful crafted drinks takes away from the coffee and taste like spiced milk. Don't sit on the banana latte. The flavor profiles work so well together. It reminds me of caramel banana milkshake with coffee undertones. There is only one other time I had a latte that was truly memorable and now I have two. A much needed addition to the Gurnee area. Easily accessible off the highway. I recently visited this coffee shop during my stay in Waukegan. I had a pistachio latte which was delicious. Probably one of the best I've ever had. I was very disappointed with Haraz Coffee House, a new Gurnee business. The air conditioning was not working and the coffee house was very warm. I ordered a mocha and asked for very light Ice. I was charged $8.00. All I got back was a small cup filled with ice and 3 table-spoons of cocoa powder.The brew was thin like water. For the amount of money I paid, I should have received a thicker mixed drink that tasted like mocha should. I will not be back to this shop read more

This place is beautiful! Nice decor and comfortable seating tables and chairs. Service was excellent. Nice to have exquisite coffee and tea brought to your table, served in a ceramic mug. I came here specifically for the fruit shaped pastries, and I feel like the experience would have been better if the pastries were cold when we received them. (we tried them immediately) It tasted quite room temperature which made the cream filling taste somewhat unpleasant. I feel like the ratio of cream to fruit filling is not the best.
