Chicken Ramen with Soy Egg (just for the pop-up night) and Chicken Lumpia

Bubble Tea has been around for a long time when Vons used to be the grocery store next to it instead of the current Aldi's. They have new management/owners. I brought my daughter and her friend to their pop-up ramen night on Thursday, 1/9/25 between 6-9pm. We had their ramen (see pic) and it was delish. The drinks were yummy! Not too sweet. My daughter's friend tried their fries and was good. Go check it out! They also do fundraisers as they already helped the MHHS music program last Spring of 2024.

DO NOT BUY ANYDRINKS UNTILL THEY RESOLVE THE ISSUES!!!!! I am writing this review to share a truly unacceptable experience I had at this bubble tea shop. I ordered a boba slush and, after taking a few sips, I found a hair inside my drink. Initially, I hoped it was on the outside of the cup, but upon trying to remove it, I realized it was completely submerged inside the slush. I have pictures to confirm this. This incident is not just a minor mistake; it points to a serious and concerning lack of cleanliness. While taste can be subjective, basic hygiene is a non-negotiable standard for any food and drink establishment. Finding a hair in my drink is not only disgusting but also a potential health hazard. The owners and management of this store need to address their cleanliness standards immediately. I believe the staff needs a complete retraining on food safety and hygiene protocols. I highly recommend that food inspectors visit this location to ensure the public's safety. Until these issues are resolved, I strongly advise against purchasing drinks from this place. Please check the attached pictures and consider this experience before you decide to visit. I have attached a picture with their brand and hair both in one photo just incase if someone still needs more proofs

What a hidden gem of a boba shop! The yummy drinks and friendly staff made my visit delightful. Sean's recommendation of the winter melon black tea boba was 10/10! We also enjoyed their popcorn chicken. Can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. The large selection of board games makes it a perfect spot to hang out with friends. I'll be back for sure!

I've been making it a point to try all the boba tea shops in the area and "Bubble Tea" was next on my list. I like they're open really late so you can satiate those nighttime boba cravings. The shop is your standard strip mall establishment with some comfy couches up front you can sit on while waiting for your drinks. The boba in these drinks was harder than I prefer but it was still "okay". I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again but I would get another drink if I'm in the area. Shout out to the guy who made our drinks because he was quite nice and helpful.

This place was lovely, affordable prices, lots of variety in flavors, super nice staff. The owner was the one who helped us out and explained the flavors and what the drinks were. The photos around the restaurant were so cute it was like stepping into a Time Capsule. Definitely a cool place to hang out with friends while enjoying really good drinks. The raro Ice cream shake with boba was 10/10.

We've been customers for 5+ years and are always excited to stop by for an Almond Snow Slush with boba it's our favorite! The inside looks newly painted and remodeled. They accept Apple Pay & have a rewards program linked to your phone number. Highly recommend this family owned boba shop!

Okay go ahead and gasp. I am a foodie that has never tried boba until now. ((GASP)) well I took a crew with me to this location. We each tried a different flavor, peach, rose, mango and strawberry. I went with mango because I like all things flavored with that so if I didnt like it I would at least go out with a taste that I prefer. The location itself is in a shopping center area so it was small and quiet when we went in. One guy was working, and he messed up the order. It was no big deal he just made it right. Two out of the four of us now love boba. The other two including myself thinks it just A OK. I dont get the hype of those lil chewy balls. Maybe I am lame, but this is just ok and will be a once in a great while treat.

Taro Milk Tea: Although they dont serve lavender and I was bummed, they did have yummy taro milk tea

Bland and watered down Thai Tea. The "Jumbo" size is what you'd expect from a medium at any other shop. Skip and save your money.

The taro bingsoo was super light and fluffy. Not overly sweet, which I actually appreciated. It's definitely a good shareable dessert, especially if you want something refreshing instead of heavy. The taro with creme brulee was the standout for me though. The layers were really pretty, and once mixed, it had that creamy taro flavor with a slight caramelized richness from the brûlée topping. It felt a little more elevated than your typical taro milk tea.

I asked why what was being offered didn't match what was advertised on the menu. The employee looked at me like I was the one speaking nonsense, then hit me with a shrug and, "I don't make the rules." Cool. You may not make the rules, but someone sure made this menu--and apparently nobody bothers to make sure it matches reality. If your customers need a decoder ring to figure out what's actually available versus what's printed, that's not a customer problem. That's a business problem. Do better. Or at the very least, update the menu so it stops catfishing people. Seriously... WTF."

I love love love the banana matcha or their coconut water with matcha foam. To be completely honest, I was never a fan of their other dessert puddings or tiramisu's because of how overly sweet almost everything is. I think sometimes even the seasonal drinks can get pretty sweet as well. I'm not sure yet because I haven't asked but it would be nice to be able to adjust sweetness for drinks. As for customer service, I can say it's alright. Not the nicest but not the worst either.

From what I remember, Oh My Pate Cafe used to sell banh mi sandwiches. Now they focus on coffee, matcha, sugarcane juice, and desserts. Honestly, I think the drinks and banh mi would have been the perfect combo, but maybe one day they'll bring them back. When I walked in, the cashier was working by herself and helping another customer. I completely understand being busy, but there wasn't much acknowledgment when I came in, so the shop felt a little uninviting at first. The cafe itself was very clean and cute. I noticed their July special was the Corn Matcha, which immediately caught my attention because it's one of my favorite matcha flavor combinations. I knew that was going to be my order. I ordered the large Corn Matcha. Their menu advertises ceremonial Uji matcha made with Oatly oat milk. My 24-ounce drink came out to a little over $10 before tip, which honestly caught me off guard. I think that's the most I've ever paid for a matcha, even compared to shops in downtown San Diego. At that price, my expectations were definitely high. I did notice they pre-batch their matcha. Personally, that doesn't bother me too much because I don't think it changes the flavor that much. I know some people care about the authenticity of whisking each drink to order, especially when you're paying premium prices, but for me it comes down to whether it tastes good. The matcha itself had a smooth flavor and was strong enough to actually taste like matcha instead of milk. It even kept me awake for a few hours afterward, which is always a good sign. The corn cream on top was rich without being overly sweet, and I loved that they added real corn pieces along with corn flakes. It made the drink taste much more natural instead of tasting like artificial corn flavoring. The quality of the matcha was definitely there. My biggest hesitation is simply the price. It's hard for me to justify spending over $10 on one drink, even though I genuinely liked it. If you're looking to treat yourself and you're a matcha lover, I think it's worth trying at least once.
