So, let me start by saying that this review is for an isolated incident that they have yet to respond back to. I do love the milk teas here, so I was really bummed by the customer service, (or lack there of). I ordered from here a couple of times. I've gotten the vanilla latte, the strawberry milk tea and the mango fruit tea, all with boba. All are great drinks that are delicious, but I ordered on Door Dash this past Saturday and when it arrived, there was a drink that exploded in the delivery drivers car. I called and they didn't pick up, so I had to leave a message. It's been a few days and nothing back from them. Would have been nice to get some sort of response. I won't be back because of this. No response is just unacceptable. I'm sure if you go in person, it might be okay. (As long as the top is put on properly and it doesn't EXPLODE on you.) lol. Just unfortunate. read more

First off, I have to state that I need to come back here and try again. The two drinks I ordered were my typical orders I would get from other tea spots and it's a bit unfair to judge a new place for what I would normally expect from shops I frequent. Still... I ordered the Honey Lemon Green Tea. I was expecting something predominantly sweet, with notes of sour underneath, and a bitter aftertaste from the lingering tea leaves. What I got was, for lack of a better phrase, overwhelmingly floral; kind of like eating a freshly plucked jasmine flower whole. It was exceedingly bitter, preceded by the taste of the green tea, but lacking in any real sugar or acid to help give it any palatable flavor. Try as I did, I couldn't make it through half of my drink and ended up throwing the rest of it away. My son opted for the Brown Sugar Milk Tea, his favored selection when getting boba. And while he did drink it all, he complained that it wasn't like he was used to. His tea was grainy, sugar loose and unmelted in his cup. This was from the sugar not being well mixed or from the tea not being hot and freshly brewed when the sugar was added. Either way, it made for a subpar drink in his eyes. While HappyLemon is closer to both home and our preferences, Ding Tea is in the same plaza where my wife works and comes highly reviewed. So, I do plan on coming back to try again. Until then, I have to be satisfied with my disappointment and try to make excuses as to why my experience didn't match up with my expectations. read more

I absolutely love this location! I've been a fan of Ding Tea since I first tried it in Anaheim. When it opened in San Marcos over COVID, I was there often... and now there's a Vista location?! I'm from North County SD so always on the way home from work, I make a stop here for boba when I'm craving it. The ambiance is always nice, quiet, and clean inside. The workers are always super friendly :) they greet you and always welcome you. They serve the boba fast and the boba is always fresh & delicious here. I never wait longer than 5 minutes for it. Love that they have little trinkets to look at while you're waiting too! My favorite here is the Taro Milk Tea with egg pudding, Oreo, & boba or my new favorite that I just tried today: the Matcha Heaven with Oreo, cheese cream, & boba. I'm so happy they've opened a Ding Tea in Vista as it is one of my favorite places to get boba! I know they've opened a little over a year ago as I got their one year anniversary free boba plushie as a gift when I came here the first time. And they've got so many choices of drinks and it's pretty empty whenever I go. Parking is pretty easy too and there is a ramen and sushi restaurant and dumpling restaurant next to it so it's a great spot to get boba! People are really nice here and are patient with taking our order and asking your sugar level and ice level. The place is really bright and everyone is pretty cheerful here. Our drinks come out pretty fast too so it's not really a long wait. You can also drink here if you prefer to drink inside than take it with you. Finally a great tea spot in Vista! Ding Tea Vista is conveniently located off of Highway 78 in the Target shopping center, near Rubio's. Also, Walmart and so many other stores are nearby. The service is always excellent. The shop has both indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor is loud, the blenders and music playing. The inside is always spotless and there is a really cute photo op/opp (photograph opportunity), if you are into photos. You'll know when you walk-in, greenery for a background and a bright neon light. I like to try a new flavor/drink when I visit. They sell milk tea, fruit tea, slushes, fresh tea, hot drinks, and so much more. There are options for all. Some of the drinks I have enjoyed include the following: Milk tea: Honeydew, Thai tea, Wintermelon, and Matcha Fruit tea: Hawaiian fruit and Passionfruit Slush: Taro snow, Hawaiian, and Mango The list/variety of drinks is extensive and there is even a "secret menu" to order from. They have a top 20 list too, so it helps you make choice, if you are indecisive or overwhelmed, it happens. The top 20 list has some of my favorites. The boba is chewy and tasty. They have tons of topping options to add to your drink as well. Toppings like crystal boba, Oreo, aloe vera, etc. are a great add-in. They also sell macaron ice cream sandwiches, the traditional flavors. Giftcards are available for purchase and cute merchandise, like a tea holder (useful if you order multiple drinks), keychains, and a small boba plush selection (on the wall). Sadly I am not a fan anymore. They don't have regular black boba, instead they only make their golden boba, which is sweeter and 10 cent more. They tell you it's the same thing but really it's not. Very disappointed that I like their milk tea but can't get black regular boba. Also last time I came in, I got a passion fruit tea and it tasted super sweet, even when I asked for 50% sugar.
