I've been using their wash and fold service for the past 4 years. I've never had any issues - nothing missing, nothing stained or damaged. They're always on time. They're not overly talkative but that's only because English is not their first language. I generally find them to be friendly. And honestly, they are the hardest working people. I've noticed that they rarely close the laundromat and they're all there from opening to close. I used their pick-up and delivery service once or twice when I first moved here, which was incredibly convenient and also very easy and quick to do. I only stopped because back then it was an older gentleman and I felt bad because I think he walked and didn't use a bike or cart. I always waited so long to do laundry and my bag would get so heavy, so I started dropping off myself instead. I think the guy that does pick-up and delivery now rides his bike though! read more

I did not have a positive experience at this laundromat. The owners were often unwelcoming, and I felt uncomfortable during my visits. They stared at you in every step of washing your clothes which UNCOMFORTABLE!!!!!! I was encouraged to use two machines or the larger machines, which felt unnecessary for my needs. When I asked to purchase soap, the request was refused, which was frustrating. I also noticed that when I greeted them with "hello" or "thank you," my greetings were not acknowledged. They just keep staring at you angry and mad, basic courtesy goes a long way in making customers feel respected. As customers, we help support local businesses, and mutual respect is important. The owner knocked my pile of clean clothes that I had folded and set on the folding table into the trash can that was full of dryer lint and dust from sweeping the floor. I realize he didn't do it on purpose, but I asked the man to pay to rewash the clothes and he started yelling at me telling me no it wasn't his fault, the ceiling fan had knocked them over even though I saw him do it! The man is always incredible rude even though I've been coming here for three years now and he is always yelling at customers and his son and wife who work with him. This place is absolutely disgraceful. It was our first and very dang sure our last visit. I have lived in Carroll gardens for the longest time and i usually just walk passed this place after work but i have never used their service until today. I went to assist my parent to to see if this laundromat is worth it as a substitute (our more local go-to laundromat was under construction). First of all, they had two signs at the door- one official hour of business states it opens between 7:30-8:30pm (which is what google and yelp say as well) daily and another made-up sign that says 8-8pm. This guy showed up on his electric bicycle around 8:10am to open the gate. Late much? He kept eyeballing us as he opens the gates like we are going to do something. While he was opening up the gates he said some Chinese dialect that we didn't understand at first, but later realized it was fuzhounese after he kept trying to talk to us for no reason. Everything was good when i was there assisting my parent to load up the 3 washers before i leave her. According to my parent, the store owner (fuzhounese speaking male) continuously trying to make small talks with her and asking private questions. My parent then began to unload each of the washer into the available dryer (the moment the washer has stopped) only to find the store owner forcefully removing the other two washers out into the transport basket despite my parent attempts to tell him no by saying "no no no." As my parent was saying no to him, the store owner started to mock her by repeating what she is trying and doing. The store owner proceeded to be cursing at her in fuzhounese (equivalent to "mother f" in America). This was absolutely uncalled for. My parent was afraid that he will kick her out thus she didn't say anything back after that. Some moments later the store owner's (likely) wife and son arrived to help out. My parent noticed them talking privately in the back and gave her the stink-eyes for a while. Besides this, they overpriced the washers. Normally i have seen $3.5-4 for the medium washers but this place charges a whooping $5. Dryers have competitive pricing at 7min per 1 quarter. All in all, if you live in this area and needs a laundromat for whatever reason, go somewhere else for your own sake. read more

Stay away. My wife & I have used this laundry mat for over a month. We always felt like something wasn't quite right and she discovered that most the machines don't dispense liquid detergent when washing. The majority of the time your clothes are just being spun around in water. We've pointed this out to the employees/owners who are generally rude and seem annoyed when you need any help. They do not communicate in English ever. Which isn't a big deal unless there's an issue which there seems to always be one, like the detergent not going in the machines or when the machines eat quarters or when they short you change when you give them cash. All which has happened to us in only six or so trips. If you drop your clothes off to be washed, the same thing is also happening. So, I repeat, stay away. read more

Bubble Laundry has the best wash and fold service in New York, as far as I'm concerned. It sometimes feels as if you're getting newer clothes than the ones you dropped off. I've never had a problem with them running late, they never toast the clothes in the dryer, and there's no perfume or chemical smell. The only mystifying thing is whether to tip or not. There's nowhere to put it and the staff don't seem to anticipate a tip. read more

The negative reviews on here are so sheltered and judgmental it's almost funny. One woman said she only did wash and fold here because she didn't want to get robbed?? In a laundromat?? In Carroll Gardens?? I've done my Landry here for two years without incident. They do have rules that are clearly printed around the shop, that btw are the same rules I see everywhere else. But because the owners aren't fantastic at English everyone jumps on them for being "rude". For what it's worth I think the staff is fine, and the place looks a little dingy, but that's part of the charm right? You didn't move to Brooklyn because you wanted to live in a shopping mall. I only do delivery and pickup, so I can't speak about the inside of this place (although I have peered in and it does look like a scene from Blade Runner as observed by another reviewer) First of all, the owners/employees don't really speak great English. So if you're doing the delivery and pickup service, you just have to trust them. For instance, I usually call and the guy (who is extremely friendly) will answer and if you have any specific questions, you're not going to get much of an answer beyond "ok" and "yes". We're not picky about our laundry so this doesn't bother us at all. Beyond that, this place is fantastic, fast, and cheap. They picked up our laundry at 3 today and he called me at 5:45 to let me know he was coming to drop it back off. To be honest, I'm amazed at how organized this place is. I have no idea how they do it, but we've never had laundry go missing and it's always folded really nicely and is always perfectly clean. We call in, they never have to confirm our address. It's like clockwork. I love this place and the delivery guy is so, so friendly. I love them. You just have to lower your expectations about how you can communicate with the owners, so if you're not picky about that, I'd highly recommend this place for the delivery. read more

Have you watched Blade Runner? You know the dimly lit cryogenic environment with the guy who creates the replicant eyeballs? This place reminds me of that. Same grittiness, they are there all day, and they get the job done. Do NOT question the decor. It is irrelevant. You want laundry? You get laundry. They pick up, they deliver. And FAST. They let me provide my own detergent to wash. They even give me change when I stop in. When I opt for Bubble to do the detergent, I do not get the crazy super sweet clean smell as our former laundromat. It's OK. Our laundry gets cleaned here, they make their quick deadlines, and meet them. Their prices are good. Oh, and they have signs posted with their rules for "last wash" time and last dryer time that you are allowed. They enforce said rules. read more

Apparently there is an unspoken rule against doing this, but bear in mind there was only one other person in the place when I walked in. This is a perfect basic laundromat! Prices are great- the lowest I have found in the area for pick-up/drop-off. I have only used the pick up service, but I have always had a positive experience. They are picked up, washed, and brought back impeccably folded almost before I even remember I sent my clothes to the laundromat! Well, what can I say? It's a laundromat, nothing more. The cost of using the machines isn't extraordinary (high or low). The price of "Drop Off" is also fine, and their service is good, clothes get cleaned and folded, having hot & cold separated is not a problem. Rarely have I lost a sock or gained someone else's. The place does get very busy at times and like many of the laundromats around there are only so many machines. But thanks to the neighborhood - other customers are, if not friendly, at least interesting if you've decided to stay and run your own loads. They have some larger-size washers and soap is available but there are no amenities beyond a few chairs by the entrance and a loud exhaust fan which runs constantly in the warmer months to "cool" the place down. If only I never had to leave my building to bring dirty laundry here, but I'm glad they are here. read more

I've tried quite a few laundromats in the Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens areas.. and this one is solid (for lack of a better word). Price always comes out to be very reasonable, and they only add a tiny surcharge when you ask them to wash and dry with cold/low settings. I usually drop-off in the summer and it looks like it might be a pain to actually do your own laundry there. There are only a few chairs and it looks pretty cramped. I haven't really inspected the quality of the washers.. but my clothes come back clean so I guess it's fine. The drop-off prices are so low, it's worth not wasting your time trying to do your laundry yourself with limited space and limited machines. In the winter I get the pick up service. I hardly notice a difference in price, although with tipping it does add a slight premium. read more

Their organizational system sometimes seem a little unorthodox but it works well for them apparently since we have never had an issue. I can say they are extremely reliable. The folk who own and run this laundromat are rude, they need to do a deep cleaning, and I mean deep. There is algae growing on the glass doors of the washing machines and a black scum on the floor in front of the machines. Their washing machines leave your clothing dripping wet, so you need to use more quarters to dry? There is one table that a non-drop off customer to use for folding and it measures 3 feet by 2 feet. Always bring your own soap, I got a horrible rash the one time I dropped stuff off and allowed them to use their own detergent. There is a laundromat a few block north, I would go there if I were you. read more

Generally good wash and fold, prompt, on time. My girlfriend recently dropped off her laundry, however, and most of her clothes were stained brown in the wash. Not fully stained, just these little brown scuffs here and there. Never had that happen. That's hundreds of dollars in clothing. They gave us our $20 back--the cost of wash and fold--but when we asked them to try to get the stains out themselves--just try!--they advised us that if we didn't like it, we should go somewhere else. Washed our hands of us and that was that. We will go somewhere else. Also, the previous time we dropped off our laundry--not sure why we dropped off again; Sunday comes and we're just exhausted and the place is right downstairs--they lost her backpack. It was very strange, in fact. We noticed it was gone and I went down to notify them it wasn't in the bag. Then they immediately, without hesitation, found it in someone else's bag. I guess that they weren't sure whose bag it went with, so they put it in a random bag? Was confusing. read more

The absolute worst business in the neighborhood. They are rude. Not helpful. I get that a Laundrymat gives preference to its drop off service customers. I've recently had to due tons of laundry - (over 30 lbs) at a time. My stackable dryer I have in my place takes forever to dry. One 3 separate occasions (once mid-afternoon mid-week) I was told the dryers were full. I saw 2 were full but had clothes sitting in them. I presumed dry. A few were being used by customers at the time. All the rest had slips taped to the door. When I asked about it he gave me such an attitude. I realize most people aren't going to schlep there dirty clothes a block or2 farther because I think this place is awful. I've gone here for about 2 months and so far have had no issues. The place has recently been renovated and is much brighter and cleaner. They have late hours, including on Sundays, and can turn around your laundry in the same day if you ask. It is usually about $10 for me with drop off service. The staff doesn't know much English but there's really not much you need to say beyond 'drop off' ... do wish they would start taking cards. read more
