Food has always been good especially the potato skins and sliders, but the beer selection is lacking. Didn't understand why their IPA is coming from Seattle but wait...it's owned by Bud who is probably supplying the majority of their offerings. Fantastic BBQ and a fun vibe. The BBQ pork sliders were fantastic. Prices were a little high for us but the food was pretty great.

OK sums it up overall. Really delightful service from nice people for the most part. Have observed patrons on football Sundays getting super political and yelling slurs at the TV without staff intervention of any kind; it really diminishes the ambiance of this space which is otherwise a great venue. Beer selection is decent. Pork ribs are pretty solid for a place of this size that has to crank out volume; probably a level above Dave's or Phil's but can't hold a candle to other spots like Old World Meat. Chicken wings are super crispy and flavorful if maybe a teensy bit dry. I would come back for a beer and some apps and to watch the game but I probably wouldn't order a full entree again and I wouldn't go out of my way for this if I was really craving some BBQ. read more

1st time here. Service was great. The server was very nice. Had the wings, fries and Philly. Place was expensive, Philly $20 does not include fries, wings 15-$28 and not cooked well and were not that great the Philly was wrapped in foil as if it was frozen or premade and then thrown in the oven. Had 3 beers. Total for 2 meals and the beers $96! Will not be coming back too pricey and I couldn't eat the wings. Bummer as really hoping for a good spot. Came with my girlfriend and a friend and we enjoyed our dinner tonight here. I got the brisket platter for $30. The meat was very tender and moist. At first I was honestly scared because at some places it is a gamble in whether it is good or not but this one came out just right and had the perfect amount of sauce. The Mac and cheese and Texas toast were also delicious. Overall I thought that the meal was great especially at it's price. Our server Priscilla was very kind and gave us the best service that night. I've been to Bubba's three times, and the food has been solid each time--especially the potato skins. Unfortunately, the experience is overshadowed by the bartender (possibly the owner) loudly sharing his political views during service. Each visit has included unsolicited Trump commentary and opinions about what women should do with their reproductive rights. It's made it really hard to relax and enjoy my meal. I came for the food, not a political lecture. Unless you're looking for that kind of conversation with your meal, I'd recommend trying somewhere else. I won't be back. read more

I was so disappointed in this place. Starting with my margarita, which I had to send back. I think the mix might have turned bad. Literally couldn't drink it. The bartender made me a different drink. This is mainly a review of their BBQ. Service it top notch. Staff is friendly, attentive and upbeat. Overall its a good concept, but it strays off course somewhere at the recipe stage. I'd wager whoever is in charge of the brisket has never stepped foot in TX or OK. Whoever formulated the sauce should spend time in LA, GA, VA and TN. The sauce is too sweet and weird tasting, almost like they used splenda and forgot the apple cider vinegar. Same with slaw. The meat was probably well prepared but add the sauce and it reminded me of eating Manwich. I'll try them again because I want to like them. But I'll try something other than BBQ. read more

I like the casual feel and friendly servers. The meat is delicious and is fall off the bone tender so you know care was put into preparation. Then they drown it in cloyingly sweet bbq sauce. Now I grew up on bbq so I appreciated the dry rub on the ribs, but come on...offering up candied meat is not bbq. More dry rub please and offer some tangy sauce, and some spicy sauce too! Sweet meat, and sweet bbq beans is overkill! Also my Texas toast was soggy by the time I got it. The bbq Cobb was great and big enough to split! I'm gonna keep checking your menu and when you offer more than the current sugar glaze. Bubba's took the place of the old Barrel Republic which means limited comfortable seating for diners in the dining room. It's definitely a more bar atmosphere with high bar top seating. I believe there was only one dining table, so I wouldn't recommend it for wheelchair users or families with young children. They left the door open while noisy and dusty construction was ongoing outside, making for a very unpleasant lunch atmosphere. Service was great, although he could only do so much to make up for the 45 minute wait on the brisket sandwich we ordered. The BBQ was okay - the sausage was excellent and tender but the brisket was dry. The chicken tenders were the frozen kind, as well as the fries. Would expect fresh cut fries and hand breaded tenders at this price point. The beverages come from the bar gun and the carbonation/syrup balance is bad and watered down. The food is good (I like the club sandwich), the beers are expensive ($9 for 14 oz!), and the staff is friendly. We have come here several times, mainly due to their awesome 20% discount on Sundays after 4pm for first responders and civil servants. However, we were told tonight that, going forward, the discount is only for first responders. As a civil servant, this is disappointing, so we likely won't be coming here nearly as much as we have been. read more

The BBQ sauce should win awards. I'm pretty picky with my coleslaw too, and I absolutely loved it. Everyone LOVED their food. Tried Bubbas out this past Friday. Hostess disappeared when me and some friends showed up. Other customers were waiting in front and asked if we checked in and we shrugged our shoulders because nobody offered to seat us etc. Decided to go the bar, sat down there and waited 15 minutes and nobody even looked our way or asked what we wanted.
