Exact reason I Hate almost all chain Restaurants. S a month ago shortly after opening I visited truly enjoyed the whole experience. Today a total disappointment, Manager last visit gave me a Gift Certificate for a FREE Burger to use on next visit Note zero fine print on it. So I used the card I bought to support Riverview High School sports that had a Free Appetizer, waitress say sorry can't use what Burger coupon explain it's a Gift Certificate so ok that's fine. She actually did a outstanding job and we left her 11 bucks for Tip. She sent a young lady manager that ruined the day. She first states I have no way to remove Appetizer on computer Oops then states it's a corporate policy WTF lady I spent 30 year's in management what you telling me is BS . Ok she goes away only to return a few minutes later telling me I really couldn't use Free Burger because it's Pizza night which is on sale for 10 bucks. I then totally lost it. You chains are all the same my Free Burger was a gift certificate not a coupon I will leave a one star review on 6 sites around the web. Why did she just keep making it worse Then she mentioned the operating partner for the chain, lady what doesn't that have to do with you taking care of me. I told her I will never ever get or recommend this place, she really didn't seem to care kinda just like me. read more

Great atmosphere, televisions, and music. First time here and it didnt disapoint. We had the Shotgun Shrimp for an appatizer, Fish and Chips, and the Mushroom Burger with tater tots. The food was excellent and my wife said it was one of the best burgers she has ever had. The fish was good also and the fries were outstanding. We heard so much about the pizzas and with their pizza special on Tuesdays, we got one to go. Lizz (with two z's) was our waitress and was very courteous and friendly. Even one of the Chefs (Julia) came out to check on us. Nice work Bubba's and we will be back! read more

We kept hearing good things about this place. We decided to check it out. We were sat really fast. We ordered our drinks. He got a beer and I ordered a Red bull margarita. Halfway through my drink I found a ice cube with mold in it! Yes mold in my ice in my half drank drink in a half melted ice cube who knows if I drank any!!! I tell my waitress and she replaces the drink. The food was okay but after having a mold drink I was unsure about their food. We get our bill and they charged me for 2 drinks! She took the one off but that's it. I dont know about anyone else but this is nasty and I probably won't be back. Didn't even offer anything. read more

I've been wanting to try Bubba's for awhile. I ordered a carry out Stromboli. I was not impressed. It was so filled with meat and greasy that the dough was soggy. I'll give them another chance and order something different from the menu based on all the other positive reviews. read more

We came in after a hockey game with 20 some kids and parents. They were able to accommodate 20 of us on short notice while a few of us extras rolled into the bar. The servers and staff were pleasant and friendly even as they were doing a steady business. The chicken cheesesteak i had was good, the menu had lots of options that looked good and as I checked out the food of other patrons around me, i wished i could have gotten a sampler. read more

I tried this new place out with my son and his fiancé. The place was very busy even with COVID going on, you can call ahead to get in right away which is nice. I was a walk up but only waited about 20min. I'm healthy eater so salmon it was for me, and it was fantastic! The drinks were good as well, as my son had several different ones, I had an ice cold blue moon and it was cold. I liked how the bar area was set up as well, like a horseshoe, and it was always full too, good atmosphere. The music was loud so hearing your party talk could be difficult, but I liked it. I love going to Bubba's 33 because they have so many delicious options that there's something for everyone. The food is American favorites, with everything from: burgers, deli sandwiches, wings, pizza (fabulous), appetizers (garlic knots are super!), soups/ chili, salads. It's difficult to decide, but my last 2 visits I had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich with fries and it was delicious. Just enough kick to grab you but flavorful. The atmosphere is fun as they have TV screens all around with sports, videos of people doing stunts or highlights of incredible moments caught on film. It can be loud in there but that's what makes it fun. There's seating at booths, tables including space for larger parties. Celebrate special days or events with family members of all ages. Ample parking around the building. Prices are $$-$$$ depending on what you get. Nice size portions, enough to share if that's your style, or swap halves if you can't decide on one item. Staff is friendly and checks on you without hovering. Our server was nice but a little forgetful when our friends asked for a different drink, brought refill of the same. All in all, a good time. Finally opened today. I was able to get in at the bar. I had the fried pickles with bubba sauce. Bacon burger with bacon in the meat mix. It was so moist and flavorful. No condiments for that burger. I also had their fire fries. Burning my lips but can't stop eating those. Definitely a great meal. The Staff was friendly and in top of things. I will be back for sure. read more

Okay, so I feel like I'm not doing due diligence cause we come here a lot now, and I didn't bother with pictures...next time! I am starting to feel about Bubba's the way I used to feel about Old Chicago...it's just got an appeal to it. I can sit and watch Chive TV, talk to the girlfriend, watch music videos....it's roomy and airy and has sports and other memorabilia on the walls and plenty of TVs. They have a good bar, their beers are cold, and you can get a $4 Long Island, and it's a decent one. I've had other food such as the shrimp po' boy and it's always good, if not the best of it's kind ever. however, the thing I keep coming back for is the pizza. We have some competition over it in this area, because you can get good pizza at a number of places, but this is probably my favorite. I had the Hawaiian this last weekend and it was good, a bit smoky so the pineapple wasn't too sweet, good crust, hot out of the oven. I feel a twelve inch can feed two, or one person twice. I can't remember the IPA I had but cold, delicious and of course the Long Island. I felt like our bartender might have spent a little less time chatting but all's forgiven, she got the job done. We visited Bubba's 33 tonight, for the first time. We actually had a really good experience! Which lately in most restaurants today, a lack luster experience...is becoming 'The Norm' now. Sad. Very Sad...but True! But not at Bubba's! Our waitress, Haley, was a True Gem! She was personable, attentive, and made sure that we were well taken care of. The management team there, made their "rounds", making sure that we were satisfied with our food, drinks, experience, Etc.. Ashley (floor manager/team leader I assume?), she gave us a coupon for a free appetizer on our next visit, since it was our First Visit there. That's a Nice touch! Especially that wasn't asked for, nor expected! Our food was really good. We split an appetizer of Fried Pickle Chips with homemade Ranch. Those Fried Pickle Chips were probably the Best Pickle Chips that we have ever had!?! You can honestly tell that they are "Home Sliced Pickles & Hand Breaded"! The 'Made from Scratch' Ranch was really good too! The wife had the Avocado Bacon Burger...which was really, an Awesome Tasting Burger! A very good burger! Cooked & Seasoned perfectly. I had the Southern Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes, and a side of Mac and Cheese. It was good. (The burger was a better selection IMO) But only one boneless breaded chicken breast being served on a plate with the mashed potatoes & gravy, was honestly...a let down. : ( The Southern Fried Chicken dinner tasted good. But I immediately thought to myself, why not 2 breasts? For the price, it should of had 2 Fried breasts on the plate. The single chicken breast wasn't of Epic Size or Proportions either. It was just a basic, run-of-the-mill, standard size. Everything else was great though! Still giving Bubba's 5 stars! Especially the Wait staff there! No disappointments, at all! First time coming here and we had a great experience! Every worker was friendly- even with wearing masks covering their smiles! Workers held doors open for us, greeted us with friendly comments, and were always kind assisting us to our every need! Definitely coming back here again! Writing my review in "real time" because I am so crazy disappointed. As an adult dining without young children, I choose to sit at the bar area tables. Families generally sit in dining area. This allows all to enjoy the dining experience they prefer. However while the food is incredible, the screaming, yelling children in the bar at the table next tois annoying. My groups dinner and drinks will not be cheap and it is frustrating as hell that we cannot enjoy an adult night out. The food here is always on point. That is a fact. I ordered the pizza, the fried pickles, and the burger I did return. On the first visit, I received a free appetizer because of the long wait. When I returned, I received another free appetizer because we were seated, waited, over ten minutes to be acknowledged. I got up and asked the manager at the hostess desk if they forgot us? I was advised no. We waited another 15 minutes, and another couple came in. Our same waitress took their order. The manager must have asked WTF, an apology was given, and this waitress was brought over. Then, the same server gave the other guests their drinks before we were given our waters. Water! At this point, I'm in for a penny in for a pound. I noticed the bartender was on point. We moved to the bar, I asked for water given water, and I requested a beer given a beer. This was a week day, not the weekend. When you have to move from your table to the bar to get service, there is a problem with training, management, and service. I wasn't going to write this experience because of how nice the other staff treated us, along with the manager on duty, but Yelp kept prompting. Maybe this will help the restaurant. I don't want to be bribed because of easily corrected problems. I pay for my dining experience. This was not one. One time, okay, second time is a pattern. Very disappointed in this place recently. Love the food and vibes but the hostesses are either liars or being told to lie to their customers. I go in and ask to sit at the high top table by the bar. The girl says "oh there's a 45 minute wait". I say nobody sitting there now. She repeats herself. She says "we are paging people for that table and waiting for them". 15-20 minutes go by. Still empty table. I go back to her. She just repeats herself then look like a deer staring at the headlights the more I point out how absurd what she's saying is. I asked for a manager. She says "oh someone get Rachel". Rachel never shows. My wife and I ended up sitting at the bar instead. When we leave over an hour later NOBODY ever sat at the table. Liars. Bad business. I made a reservation for 3 tables at 9 pm, when we arrived they didn't give us tables because they were closing at 10. They gave me so many excuses: 1- Miscommunication between staff. 2- We dismissed waitress so we don't have anybody to take your order (meanwhile my family went to the restroom and near the area employees were having a nice peep talk making jokes). 3- When we asked for the restroom the host asked if we were living, never mentioned where the restroom was. Nice, lively atmosphere with a comfortable ambiance. Very cool and fun decor, plenty of TV's to entertain kids while you wait. Food was super good- pleasantly surprised by the appearance, freshness, and portion size of everyone's meal. We ordered the southern chicken dinner: golden perfection, cream gravy awesome, mashed potatoes good, Mac & cheese perfect. Shroomin burger: huge, husband liked but said they should use Swiss instead of Jack cheese. Kids pizza was bigger than expected, smelled delish. Bacon cheeseburger: huge, son loved it and the fire fries. Fish & chips: enormous battered filets, looked awesome. Chicken bacon Mac & cheese entree: decent portion size, looked delish. This is the best restaurant downriver. I've been a total of 10x's and the food is consistently perfect! You can't mess up with whatever your choice is. The staff is ver attentive and cares about each person that walks through the door. I love this place and hopefully you will as well.
