This is a place to get good American style food. Pretty much every meal is fried. Onion rings are fantastic, salads are good sized portions. All service staff are attentive and it's great that they have call ahead seating. They are pretty much on time with the times that they give you. The atmosphere of this restaurant is a lot more noisier than most places. You have a lot of televisions running and of course the bar is very noisy also. I went there during the Stanley Cup hockey season and not a single television was showing any of the live games. I made a request to change a television that I was looking at to play the hockey action. The manager finally did it when I was getting ready to walk out the door.Oh, they were showing were music videos, chive TV, and football /basketball reruns. I really really love this place....it has a real down to earth vibe and relaxing atmosphere. There is tons of tv's all around and there is a bar area which is located inside a glass enclosure which keeps the noise out of the dining area. This place is also well kept and clean. I had a chicken sandwich which was well made and tasty, the other patrons in my party had the hamburger which it to was well made. I mean everything is real good and I also hear the pizza is real good as well which I will be going back to try the pizza. I recommend this place especially if you want a real good burger. read more

We visited Bubba's during a later summer weekend. We chose this place based on the ratings and proximity to hotel. The photos were enticing so we gave it a shot. We started with some drinks- watermelon margarita was good. Service was not. It was not overwhelmingly busy but there were other patrons. The waitress brought out MOST of our food but said the mashed potatoes was being finished up. Well OK. A good 5+ minutes later she said they still were not finished. We said fine and requested more drinks. My drink order was not correct because I asked for something different but I was already over it. Finally the potatoes came out. The service was poor the food was so-so. I don't think this is a place to revisit or is truly worth the visit. Sorry. Service matters & the quality of food can't make up for it. read more

Although my steak was delicious, the service was horrible and unwelcoming. It took awhile for me to get their attention to put in my order. The manager, Lauren, was very nice though, when she came by, she was very attentive and made sure I was all set. They didn't have metal utensils for me to cut and eat my steak, but the plastic for and knife was fine. The margarita was really good! Definitely must try if you drink alcohol. Enjoy! read more

The food is bland and poorly procured here. Go anywhere else to eat. I've been there three times I guess hoping for something better but each time more disappointed. Last visit I had the lasagna, I think the "Great Value" brand from Walmart is a step up. They could offer to top it with Parmesan cheese to mask the tasteless tomato sauce. The chicken wings are atrocious bad. Poor baby chick's missing their wings., and then deep fry it to a jerky texture. I had heard about bubbas before but never had a chance to try. I went in solo today while on a work trip and left fully satisfied. Service was amazing. The waitresses asked my name in the beginning and addressed me by name each time when checking on me. The place was busy but they never skipped a beat. I ordered 12 wings and sweet fries. Half Cajun dry and half garlic Parmesan. The GPs were the winner but both were great. Sweet fries were out of this world. I will be coming back, and excited to try other menu items. read more

Quick trip to Corpus and needed to eat, no line and was seated immediately. The server was really nice and was very attentive. We ordered the onion rings and fried pickles for appetizers and both were really good. The onion rings were really huge, battered lightly and fried perfectly. The fried pickles were a bit on the salty side but the ranch dip balanced them out. I like how the breading didn't fall off the pickles, I find this to be a problem at other places. The burger I ordered which was the classic was pretty good. It's a nice size burger probably 1/3 lb if I had to take a guess. My only issue as with everyone else at my table was the food not being hot. It seems as though they sat under the warming light for awhile before she brought them out to our table. Especially, the fries since everyone's meal came with them. If you're there to catch sports you'll be at the right spot. It's like tv overload, an overwhelming amount of them. One of them played music videos which was the loudest, I thought it was jukebox until I spotted which tv it was coming from.
