Second time I've been here. Great facility, lots of TV's with a variety of sports and interesting programs along with music videos. Very attentive staff and good sized portions. I went specifically for the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich and onion rings. These were staples in the Midwest and I was hoping to recapture that memory. While the portions were grand, they weren't made quite the same as I remember them. I went twice to verify and not rush to taste-testing judgment. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. Our waitress, Karla, is exactly what a perfect server should be. She was spot on everything! For a busy Saturday night, we were sat within 20 minutes for a party of 6, which was very quick. Karla got to us quickly and started bringing out the orders. We had chorizo queso dip, garlic knots, signature ribeye, chili, California chicken, the spicy shrimp, a kids mac and cheese, and the bubba brownie. Haven't been here a long while and decided to swing by for dinner. I made a reservation for 6 and my party was quickly seated. Our server was very friendly and the food came out fast!! We were in Corpus Christi for a couple of days and decided to try Bubba's 33 for supper. We have never heard of them before and were a little hesitant about trying them. We are so glad we did . My Family had horrible service from a waiter by the name Jarvis.. He never got their drinks he never wrote down the order so forgot most of the order .. manager got drinks way later but server never refilled drinks or did a check back.. Mom n my niece got their order after my sister had been waiting on my family to get their order to eat together .. Management team didn't apologize and knew about the situation but never apologized or made it up to them .. While this place offers great food the service is very poor.. BUBBA 33's 1921 S Padre Island Dr Corpus Christi, TX 78416 (2) U.S. Veterans returned to this location on a Sunday in Dec 2022 to speak with a manager about our experience on that Saturday around 1130hrs. We were redeeming our Veterans Day coupons issued to both of us on Veterans Day, that day (Saturday) and it was totally horrible. When both Vets walked in we noticed about 9 workers at the front desk, and they just turned and looked at us, said nothing. We both stood to the side, and waited. After so long I interpreted them, and asked them can someone help us? A lady went to seat us next to the bar, and I didn't want to sit there. I walked to the middle area on the other side of the restaurant, and told her this is where we want to sit. She stated that this area was closed @ est. 1130hrs, huuun? She led us around the corner and tried to seat us in the back and told us this is your seats, wow! I went to the front desk and asked for a manager. Few seconds later another person came to seat us in the same area we asked for, but we noticed a white woman and family were already seated that fast, wow. Then another Latino couple was seated in same area, wow. Was it because we were Black? We watched this happen right before our eyes. Wow this is how you treat (2) US Army Veterans? Stick them in the back in the corner, with the bar chairs that have holes in them? No way were we excepting this. The waiter was great and couldn't believe we both went through this. I didn't want to address this matter that Saturday, so we did return the next day, Sunday and addressed this matter with the manager named STEPHEN. I explained all that's listed above to STEPHEN, and he told me he would only comp (1) appetizer that's it. I told him it was (2) US Army Vets that experienced this horrible customer service that were trying to redeeming your Veterans Day Special. STEPHEN said that's all he can do, take it or leave it, wow! I pushed the written offer back to him and told him to keep it. I really really love this place....it has a real down to earth vibe and relaxing atmosphere. There is tons of tv's all around and there is a bar area which is located inside a glass enclosure which keeps the noise out of the dining area. This place is also well kept and clean. I had a chicken sandwich which was well made and tasty, the other patrons in my party had the hamburger which it to was well made.
