Sorry- I meant to say it WASN'T terrible. Give it a try if you're in Port A or staying at Cinnamon Shores.

Artichoke and tomato pizza

Nice, casual place in the heart of Cinnamon Shores. Pizzas are fresh with handmade crust. They cost about $20 each and are 12 inch. You can most likely split one if you're not a super big eater. There are six pieces and two filled up my wife. I was good with 3. The server was very nice. The only issue was the wait. We were seated at about 8pm and didn't get the pizzas until after 9. It's not a big place and it wasn't full. We realized the issue was the to-go/delivery orders. There were tons.

WOW! As a former NYC pizza expert, I have been searching for...won't tell you how long, for EXCELLENT PIZZA. DYLAN'S the real deal. Perfect coal oven pizza, with exceptional toppings. Ok, so from being from NYC I am very particular and clear, about how I want my pizza prepared. And, Dylans did exactly as I requested. It was so yummy, I can't wait to return. I can already envision my scale climbing, but, for great pizza, that's ok. And kudos to McKenzie for communicating my requests to the kitchen, and for them, for honoring them. Plus McKenzie was such a delight. She greeted us as first time visitors, explained Cinnamon Shores and Dylans, and was attentive and fun. My only recommendation is not to sit outside. As delightful and inviting as it was the flies were fierce. They liked our pizza as much as we did. We finally had it boxed and savored it at home . Truthfully, I did have another regret...my son is DYLAN and they didn't sell their shirts. Maybe one day. I'll keep checking, as I'm looking forward to another visit very soon.

We've always come here for a more upscale pizza night when we're in town. They have gluten free which is a requirement for me so it's always been an easy choice. Service is really what needs attention here. I can't remember her name but she was just plain inattentive. Wrote down my order but it was still wrong. When she finally came back outside, mind you there was one family inside with 3-4 outside. I had a list of things we needed, like a refill on a drink since we had been waiting so long, the correct toppings for my pizza (I legit only added one thing..) and parm and pepper. All pretty normal pizza place things you think we would've been supplied with. I guess I've also just had way better burrata in the last few months and this wasn't all that. Good enough and dipped my crust in too to eat it all. I don't know, call us crazy but I wasn't happy with the experience and neither was my husband. Our first time here a few years back had been GREAT! But it seems like some places are failing at service while others are flying. We were hungry, just finished a maternity shoot and this was closest on our way back.

We were in Port Aransas for a couple of nights and stumbled upon this pizzeria. Everything from the service, to the vibe to the taste was amazing. We got their pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni and it hit the spot. Their pizzas are hand tossed and the wait time wasn't too long either. I am not a huge pizza fan, but this was good. Before heading back we decided to have a final stop here for lunch AGAIN!

I really enjoyed my gluten free pizza would definitely order that again! The service was very good and hannah was attentive to our needs. The white pizza from what i was told wasn't anything great , was pretty bland with no flavor . The Cesar salad was good wasn't over dressed which was nice! The flat bread wasn't anything special or worth getting again. Bathrooms are clean and individual . The don't have happy but liked the back patio' would eat the gluten free again

Pizzas were legit! Wings are mid. Waitime was questioned. Be patient as this place gets busy during spring break.

Food/drinks were decent but very overpriced. They also charge a "resort fee" plus higher tax rate.

I ordered the large fried oyster plate. This has always been my go to dish. I was really looking forward to it. However, the oysters were so incredibly overcooked that the oysters looked like little brown pieces of leather inside a hard fried shell. I was really hoping for the usual big, soft oysters in the perfectly fried batter. Hopefully, this was just an off night for the cook.

We joined the waitlist online via Yelp and I am so glad we did, highly recommend as the wait time shown was accurate and made our visit seamless. All the staff was friendly despite the full house, I am sure they're used to it but I commend them for maintaining a true atmosphere of hospitality from start to finish. Our server Angela was very sweet and friendly. I had an alcohol free mojito and it was fantastic. The others in my group tried a Moscow mule and margaritas which they said were also great. For food, some shared the poke and shrimp ceviche and it was fresh and delicious. My entree was the grilled fish tacos which was made with Dover sole. Cooked to perfection, they were some of the best fish tacos I've tried and perfect sized serving. I enjoyed them so much I forgot a photo. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and service and I would definitely come back. The menu offers a variety for everyone. The restaurant decor is also nice and we had a nice view through the window as the sun went down.

I had a pound of boiled shrimp, complete with the shells on, fresh from the sea that very morning. I've had shrimp in Key West, San Francisco, Fernandina Beach, Cairns, Australia and many other places. But NONE were as delicious as these at the Crazy Cajun. I hereby declare never to come to Port A without having at least a pound of their boiled shrimp! They are the stuff of shrimp eaters dreams!! Service was excellent. The shrimp were okay, but just not a good Cajun boil seasoning at all. It's like the seasoning was sprinkled on top, but hardly anything was in the boil. They were flavorless. We left with a big bill and not enough food. Also, they didn't have regular claw crackers because they said people would steal them. They had wooden mallets instead like for lobster. That's not the same and it doesn't work the same way. Useless wooden mallets. The restaurant itself was fine. A little dingy, but to be expected. Our waiter was super nice and friendly. That's about it.

It's a pleasant space, tastefully decorated and fitting for the cape cod theme that Cinnamon Shores seems to be going for (even it if does feel quite forced and fake... we're in Texas after all, not New England). A very odd choice was to not have any restrooms inside the restaurant, with just two mixed-gender restrooms located outside of the restaurant and shared with the hundreds of other people milling about outside. There's plenty of seating inside and out, which made it all the more strange to be refused seating next to our friends. Those tables remained empty for the 2 hours we were there. 2 hours is a long time. It took 15 minutes for our server to come by with curiously warm water. Food came well over an hour later, and across 10-15 minutes, leaving some at the table feeling hangry and bitter. Portions were tiny. For example, my $48 red snapper was a single side of a very small fish (~4 oz) that I could have bought for $6 at a farmers market. It tasted good, so there's promise in the kitchen, but clearly zero urgency. I'd go through other items ordered by the table, but why bother. This restaurant is slow, overpriced, and poorly managed. Hard pass.
