We wanted to try out a new place in the area we were at and saw that this place had great reviews. Although it only had a couple of reviews we still wanted to try it out. Parking was good since it was in a small shopping area and once we arrived it was packed and we were greeted by the staff. Our waitress was very nice and had great positive energy. We ended up ordering the Guacamole for our appetizer and the Eye Opener Plate and the Brunch Burger. Later we received the guacamole w/chips and they were delicious. Afterwards we then got our main courses and started to dig in. I was a little disappointed in the barbacoa because it was a bit bland and so was the burger. Then after we were done we noticed small roaches in the wall. So we were a little shocked. But although the service was great we will not be coming here again.

Great food! Friendly service. Had the chicken fried chicken one day and went back for the turkey and dressing. It was like being at home.

Down in Corpus for the day and since it is Labor Day our favorite place was closed (Black Diamond)…read more We came here to get some good seafood. Food was hit and miss. Started with a dozen peel and eat shrimp. Shrimp were WAY overcooked, extremely firm, and rubbery. Mozzarella sticks were fine. I had the clam chowder (which was actually REALLY good). I would recommend it if you like lots of clam pieces and a nice bacon flavor. I had the pan-seared redfish with veggies and red beans and rice. Fish was very good and cooked well. Seasoning was good. Veggies were also well done. Red beans and rice were...mid. Very salty and not my fave. Wife had fish and chips. Tartar was a little sweet for me and the batter had a slight sweet spice in it. Not my taste but she liked it. She also said the hush puppies were not dry. Alway a good thing. For the price, I was expecting more but it was a decent meal. Service was good. Quick, prompt service, and she took the kids meal off the bill since we bought the adult meal as advertised. Atmosphere is fine but it smells like vomit near the restrooms and on the back patio. Kind of icky. Decent meal, decent atmosphere. We will stick to Black Diamond though.

The…read moreplace is gorgeous on the inside and is perfect for date night, girls night out, or a family dinner. The restaurant is located in the art gallery building and there is parking located at the building. I really wanted the Bloody Mary shooter but was told that they don't sell it on its own and that it comes with the order of crab crake. But my server was amazing and made it happen. We started off with the drum nachos. That was the of the show. We enjoyed it so much. The drum was cooked to perfection and the lettuce with the cheese and the crema were delicious. We ate everything. The oysters weren't anything special. They were still attacked to the bottom of the shell so I had to attach them. The watermelon sauce they have to put on them is super good. Our next favorite thing was the red snapper. I had seen pictures on yelp and it looked blackened. When we ordered we weren't asked if we wanted blackened or fried. It came out fried which was ok but I was expecting blackened. It was still really good a tasty and we finished it all. We did order the three cheese cavatappi and that was a miss for use. We thought it was going to be creamy and it wasn't. It got hard really quick so that is something we will not be getting again. Then we ordered the shrimp 41 sandwich. Basically a shrimp po'boy. They only suggestion I would have for this is to ad more of the sauce to the sandwich and offer a side of tartar sauce to dip. We got the fries that can with tajin which tasted good but next time I would say easy on the tajin. For desert we got the bourbon glazed bread pudding. It was fantastic. Based on the yelp pictures we saw it was paired with Ice cream so we thought that's the way it came. So just letting everyone know it doesn't come with Ice cream. I was a fantastic dessert through. ww will be ordering that again when we stop by. I also ordered the lavender haze as my drink and it its presentation is beautiful and it tasted really good. It wasn't overly sweet. Overall we loved the restaurant. Everyone needs to try them out.

We ordered two deviled eggs and one came out without the bacon, which kind of set the tone for the rest of the meal. The Bloody Mary, which they're supposedly known for, is now a batch cocktail and you can absolutely tell. It lacked flavor, spice, and even basic seasoning. It also didn't come with the celery, bacon, or pickled onions that used to make it stand out. It was mid at best. The barbacoa tacos were also underwhelming. They weren't very filled and lacked flavor overall. Service unfortunately didn't help the experience either. We had to remind our waitress about the Big Reds that were supposed to come with the meal, and they didn't arrive until I was already halfway done eating. We also had to flag down another employee just to get steak knives for the people eating steak and eggs. Honestly, I won't be going back. It's pretty telling that a restaurant that used to be packed is now barely half full. The quality just doesn't seem to match the reputation anymore.
