My burger patty was embedded with multiple long hairs. I choked on them while eating and vomited. I called and was then put on hold and they never came back I had to call again to speak with the manager, and when she spoke with me I was told I would get a free burger but she never told me her name and hung up. After ordering my meal, I realized one of the employees was on her phone with gloves on in the food area. After being on her phone, she did not change her gloves and continued to touch and prepare food. I didn't see a manager in store but I also don't do well with in person confrontation which is why I didn't say anything. Well this is our second time dining there. First time was when it first opened a long time ago. First time it was very delicious and worth it. This time very disappointed in the value of what you I paid for, and service was terrible, they made my cheeseburger wrong, took it back and they got it wrong again and the lady was so very rude. Be ready for sticker shock! I had to try Five Guys because supposedly they made the #2 slot for the nation wide survey of best hamburger joints. $10.00 for a bacon cheeseburger --- REALLY? And most of their burgers are $9.00+. My burger was greasy as were the fries. The bun didn't have a fighting chance. By the time it sponged up all the grease, it disintegrated in my hand. Actually I want and like a little grease to my burger but when there's more grease than burger, that's a little too much. And I like my fries a bit on the soft side but these I could have ringed out. The food is given to you in a brown paper bag, which means you have to drape the table with napkins in order to lay your food out where you can get to it --- no trays. The bag quickly turned into a greasy mess. Then there's the facility itself. It's bare bones. As such and without any acoustics, the music added to all the patrons talking makes it a bit loud. They try to satisfy everyone's taste in music but the heavy metal is over the top. The floor was dirty. The restrooms only accommodate one person at a time. When your order is ready they yell your number out over the crowd. No table numbers and definitely no one brings your food to you. They have to yell above the noise and usually call a number several times because patrons can't understand or hear them. A digital board displaying the order numbers that are ready would be much more efficient and polite. Don't waste your money at this place. There are better burgers elsewhere at much more reasonable prices. There is absolutely nothing about this place that justfies the prices. read more

I didn't think I would ever knock a Five Guys but this was just to petty. My wife and I stopped by this afternoon for a snack. We ordered a large seasoned fries that sells for $4.99 and 2 waters. Of course they wanted to sell us bottled water for $2.09 each. We told them we only wanted water from the drink machine as the bottled water they had was Dasani which I find has an odd taste. That is when they lost the 2 points. They gave my wife 2 plastic 5oz cups for water. It wasn't much larger than the cup they use for ketchup. Now most places at least give a small drink cup. Since these cups were so small it required several trips to the drink bar for refills. Now I know that is being picky but I expect more from a restaurant of the caliber I have come to expect from Five Guys. The cajun fries keep us coming back. They pack the bag so there is enough for the family. Hamburgers are good and a big list of possible toppings. Shakes are also delicious! First impressions of walking into a five guys burgers restaurant is a plain Jane menu and restaurant. The restaurant is completely white with red overtones. Five guys serves complimenty peanut appetizers in a barrel however, an uncomfortable feel to eating peanuts in the restaurant because there were no peanut shells to be found on the ground and did not feel comfortable to discard the shells on the floor. Unlike Texas roadhouse with peanut shells covering the floor, five guys had no shells on the floor. Five guys either just cleaned the floor or no customers had eaten the peanuts, either way it was very uncomfortable to discard the shells inside the restaurant. On to the burgers. I had ordered an Jr bacon cheese burger with fries. I added mushrooms, pickles, green peppers, mustard and ketchup to my burger which was quite delicious. The burger was cooked nicely and the toppings complimented the protein satisfactory. The burger it's self was delicious, nothing that would stand out among premium burgers but would top most fast food joints. Fries were crisp and fresh. So why the 3 star rating? PRICE!! Five guys burgers are quite expensive, I paid almost $15 for a burger and fries meal.... The taste slightly overpoweres Burger King and mcdonald's however it's not worth the price variation. The burgers are good. The big plus is you don't pay more for additional toppings such as grilled onions or mushrooms. The fries are fantastic, and you get a lot, a regular order could easily feed 2 people (fill cup with fries, drop in bag, dump more fries on top). The staff is always friendy and helpful.
