We came here for dinner one night. We started with an appetizer (spinach Queso)and got a Philly cheesesteak and shrimp poboy. We were rather disappointed by the meal. Two of us for lunch on Burger Special Monday. Lunch on their patio with great weather. As you can see from my numerous reviews, we've been regulars at Bubba's since their opening. Today, the food and service were a five. The reason for the 4 star rating coming at the end of the review. My wife had the Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. The burger was great and the fries were hot and crispy. She loved it. I had the Spicy Habanaro Burger with tater tots. I love the Habanero Burger, but always get the grilled habaneros on the side so I can regulate the amount on the burger. My tots were fried to perfection IMO. They came out hot and crispy. We also shared a side salad that was served ice cold and was also very good. We both always order Bubba's sauce on the side to dip our fries/tots. So why the 4 stars instead of 5? Our table, (on the patio), and looking at the ones adjacent to ours had a very sticky nasty feeling surface. Looking at the table, you could see the swirls where they wiped the table off. Unfortunately, they must have used dirty water that needed changing or something sticky had already been picked up off other tables. We didn't realize how bad it was until seeing my wife write her grocery list on the table and everything transferred to the table's surface. If I could give negative stars I would. Went on the BUBBAS WEBSITE to place a delivery order. Received the confirmation screen, and the confirmation email. Almost 15 minutes after the DELIVERY time, i get a text from the delivery driver telling me they are at the restaurant waiting for the order. I called Bubbas and was told my order was picked up at 1130 which was a trick since the order was placed at 1130. I asked to speak to a manager (I wish I had gotten his name) and he confirmed it and told me it was my problem, I needed to contact DoorDash. I asked if he had a number (since I couldnt possibly be the ONLY person that has had problems with a delivery service BUBBAS uses). He sighed and said he would Google it. Fine with me. After a wasted 10 minutes or so with DoorDash telling me they have NO RECORD of my order(turns out, it was actually UberEats). I call Bubbas back. This time I got the managers name (different one)...NIKKI was nasty and unhelpful. Wanted to emphasize that by my agreeing to use the delivery service its my problem. She couldnt seem to understand I used BUBBAS WEBSITE, I hadnt chose anything except the delivery option. She continuously wanted to make sure I understood it wasnt their problem since it was a 3rd party....not the tracking page, not the email, not even that I had called the wrong delivery service, I chose to use the website, my fault (Buyer beware). Then when I wanted the owners number and corporate along with Nikkis name (because she most certainly was being included in my complaint), she hung up on me.... They couldnt tell me who they handed it off to, had no idea when (the first manager told me he could "check the cameras" if I really needed to know), the tracking link showed that the food hadnt been picked up yet and I had text messages from the delivery driver waiting at the restaurant. The food is absolutely great here. I had the fish and chips and the tarter sauce is out of this world delicious! This is a great place to watch games on TV while you eat and drink as well. Televisions surround the whole dining room and bar area. The burgers are also wonderful, and I'd highly recommend the fried pickles as an appetizer. read more

My buddy and I were down here in Louisville wandering the bourbon trail. By chance we saw this place glowing in the distance like a neon beacon welcoming us to beer and fried goodness. Well we strut in like we own the place... or sauntered as I like to do often. We were imediately greeted by the woman running the bar... pointing us off to a table and getting our drink order as we walked to the table. It was great! They had a tap take over going and I just smiled and said bring me a pint of the darkest and a taster of the other ones. My buddy being no less reserved than I am ordered his beer with a whiskey chaser! The food was amazing... I got the best combo in the world... mac 'n' cheese... yet they took it further! They added chicken and bacon to it! What could possibly go wrong with that much deliciousness in a bowl placed in front of you with a cold yet malty beer. "Looks around for lactaid!" I kid... it was fantastic! The staff so so friendly and I never had any need for anything for more than a few seconds. Couldn't get enough of the place. Having never been in the area, and traveling with out of towners as well I was tasked with picking a restaurant out of the plethora in this area to eat it. I was not familiar with Bubbas so I chose that only to find out that they had them in the same town in Texas where they were from. Either way a true burger joint with salads, American food. We had a good waitress, she was a bit rushed but the place was busy and things started off OK. Two of us ordered burgers and one ordered a salad which looks really good and I got a mushroom Swiss burger medium rare and it was very tasty. My colleague however ordered a medium well burger because she is a cancer patient survivor and just cannot see pink or red in ground beef. She can eat a steak medium rare but made it very clear to get a medium well to well-done burger and she would spice it up. Food was delivered after one bite and her burger it was definitely medium rare. Though we didn't wanna make a scene she was hungry and her appetite was most important to us so we rapidly called the waitress which took a few minutes and got that burger sent back to be replaced. So within five minutes they went ahead and brought another order of chili cheese tater tots that were on her plate that would've been cold then we continue to wait another 15 to 20 minutes and got another order of chili cheese tots. That's when her husband had to get up and go find out where the food was because we were there on business and needed to go and his wife was starving. We got the manager he did what he had to do but even after talking to him for probably 10 minutes we wasted the burger still never came so he took care of the whole bill which was the thing to do. Although my food was fine and my colleagues salad, we have to eat very carefully and selectively based on her knees and here, they were not met and we didn't feel like there was a sense of urgency to fix it. This looks like a popular place, it was clean, I think my only complaint was the delicious looking looking onion rings, that weren't. Greasy, no spices, just wanted some great rings but I was full anyway. I dropped one star four the burger that never came back, and one star for the time it took to deal with all of it. But I do recommend it but may also recommend if you want a burger cooked a certain way, be very specific and state you don't want to send it back it Hass to be the way I said it... Or I will cancel the order and leave. Say it nicely, but just so the waitress can write it on the ticket so the cook sees it and I've done that before and it works. And I'm a very good tipper! We tried Bubba's 33 for the first time last week in the late afternoon. The restaurant was fairly busy, but we were promptly greeted and seated. Our server was helpful with the menu, friendly and attentive. My side salad had fresh ingredients and was actually filling. Although the burgers and fries were a little over-salted, they were perfectly cooked (yum!) and portion sizes were generous. Located off the beaten path, Bubba's is a delicious spot for top-notch pub food, lots of TVs, and great, prompt service. While this is a Texas Roadhouse venture, the menus are not reflective of one another aside from Bubba's amazingly fresh salads. I've eaten here a dozen times, and each time has been fantastic. The food is very fresh, consistent, and filling - they serve large portions of every dish I've ordered. Tonight I had a 5 oz. salmon filet with mashed potatoes & gravy and a house salad. The house salad is very filling, and is topped with crispy potato strings in lieu of croutons, offering a nice crunch and bit of salt. The salmon was cooked perfectly, had a good grilled flavor, and the mashed potatoes were hot and creamy. On previous visits we've ordered the fish & chips - Bubba's fries are to die for! - the fried fish sandwich which is huge, the chorizo queso appetizer, the buffalo chicken sandwich, the Cajun shrimp & chicken pasta, and the onion rings. This was my 1st time at Bubba's 33 per request of my kidos. This particular night was Date Night with my daughters.. And on date night there are no phones at the table.. So sorry,.... No pics and not much of a review this time around. I will say that I did like the place. The menu was packed with choices and most were your regular menu items but with a twist. For instance.. one of the kids got a salad and the salad had a Huge pile of thin curly potato stick like things that were freaking delicious!! .. our app was fried pickles (cooked and sliced to perfection-in serious about my fried pickles) and these Candied Thick Cut Bacon that also came on a pile of those thin potato chip crumble!! KayKay had the Fried shrimp (Yummy) Emerald had the Aloha Burger (she said it was good) And I had the South of the Border Burger with chorizo on it!!! For this #ThankYouThursday, I wanted to share one of the few restaurants we've enjoyed at home as much as in person. Hesitant to try a roadhouse type place, we delayed trying Bubba's for FAR too long. It's not our usual and the atmosphere isn't our thing, hence the four stars. But the food value/quality/carry out keeps it in our rotation. If you like Texas Roadhouse, it's worth a try. Our initial visit was for Brunch when other places nearby were too busy. We've always had delightful service, quick seating (tips below), delicious food and drinks at very reasonable prices and their carry out procedures during COVID have been up to my stringent standards! It is tough to find as it's off the highway and down a winding road - double check your GPS to avoid having to turn a few extra times. BRUNCH: the menus are posted - really great deals on mimosas (with an option to add an extra shot = rocker) and bloody marys as well as less traditional drinks. Pre-COVID, it was almost empty when we arrived around 9 on a weekend for brunch. Biscuits and gravy are fantastic. My husband loved the steak + eggs (no surprise as they source their meat from sister company, Texas Roadhouse). Their southwestern brunch items are delicious as well! DINNER: the burgers are absolutely worth it. The 33 stands for a few things (how cold they keep their beer among them) - one is that they have a 33 burger with 33% bacon in the patty. It's so delicious we keep ordering it despite so many other specialty burgers I want to try. The onion rings are also fantastic! Sauces are made in house and we love the bubba's sauce for dipping onion rings. Tots are crisp and satisfying with an option for loaded. My husband can't pass up the Stromboli so he typically orders one alongside the burger! I've had the chicken breast with pico a few times and it's great fir a lighter meal. Their pizzas are good too, we just love the burgers so much that we don't order them often. We were there for my birthday pre-COVID and enjoyed the ginormous brownie sundae with friends (back when we could do that kind of thing!). Drinks are just as awesome as at brunch with a highlight on types of Margaritas (and rockers with extra tequila). TAKEOUT/COVID: They have excelled at takeout during COVID, easy to use website ordering, clearly marked lanes in the parking lot and spaces for waiting. When all restaurants were closed, they had margarita home kits and a drink station to buy drinks/beers while waiting for food. They had family packs of lasagna, burgers, pastas. They had an AMAZING brunch for Easter weekend and we ate on it for days - hopeful they may return to this for the upcoming holidays. ATMOSPHERE: inside is large main dining room, good-sized bar with many tables and a patio. It's full of everything on the walks to the point of distraction. TVs surround the place and they play not just sports but a blooper style channel and a vintage music video channel. Plenty to keep everyone entertained but I couldn't focus on anything. Not our usual upscale vibe but the food is so worth it. We've had drinks once since COVID and were able to sit on the patio before football games started. We left when it became crowded. Staff appeared to be adhering to all precautions. MVP: definitely use the call ahead function to have them save you a seat - it's not quite reservations. On Valentine's Day we had a change of plans, called at 8pm and when we arrived at 8:15, we were shown directly to table ahead of the people who had walked up without calling. I visited this location and this brand for the 1st time. Have been meaning to come check it out for sometime but finally got around to it. Super cool place and great vibes. I did not have any food this go round as it was a short stop and just a few cold ones, but will definitely come back and eat next time. I went to Bubba's with two co-workers while visiting the area for work. The menu was very broad, they had all kinds of stuff. I got a pizza and it was good. It wasn't amazing but it was good. The ambiance and atmosphere were great. Lots of TV's and music videos playing on a couple tv's as well. I sat in the bar and had a few drinks as well. The drinks were great.
