It was one of the first warm spring nights of the year & we wanted to go eat yummy food outside on a patio. But it was a Monday & a lot of local restaurants are closed. Luckily Chillburger is open on Monday's AND they have a patio! I never have an issue finding a parking spot when I go to Chillburger. However, I do find the parking lot itself can be overwhelming during specific times of the day because several businesses share it so there is always vehicular movement happening. Just have to watch where you are driving/walking. I ordered the basic 4 Oz steakburger with bacon. My friend ordered the 8 Oz double Patty with bacon. After we ordered, we grabbed our waters & chose a table on the patio. They brought our food to us about 10 minutes later. They forgot to add the bacon to my friend's burger so he had to go ask them for a side of it & add it on himself. But other than that, it was a great evening! Had one of their steak burgers - very fresh, very tasty and served with a side of delicious fries. Soft drinks are a rip off (three bucks!) but i enjoyed my meal, even though it was pretty greasy and sogged the bottom bun. I was pretty satisfied overall. Super strange in the way that you order and the way they serve you. Their special sauce is basically honey mustard FYI. I ordered my burger and was adding mustard, mayo, ketchup and the worker said that the special sauce was basically those added together with spices. I really like the room of Chillburger. It has a nice look. Clearly, some money was spent here. And the milkshake is terrific, as would be expected given the place's lineage. But that's about it on the good front. It's not a great location. It's located in a busy strip mall on a busy road. But most importantly, the food options I've tried have not been particularly noteworthy. The steakburger was thicker than most steakburgers I've tried, but the flavor was decidedly inferior. The fish was significantly better than its appearance, but still not worth a trip. Fries were perhaps slightly above average. And the price point is too high for the food quality. While this is by no means a terrible restaurant, there are just too many other superior options out there to merit a return trip. Soooo, I'm going to write a fair review although my first visit to Chillburger was a horrendous experience. First, I placed my order at 5:59pm: a single burger with cheese, mayo, ketchup, & jalapeños, an order of garlic Parmesan fries, and a regular chocolate shake. My total was $12.31, which was completely reasonable. Fast forward 30 minutes when every single table in the place was already flipped & I still had no food. I went to the counter to ask about my order & no one had a clue where my ticket was. I was asked for my receipt, but sadly the cashier didn't give me one, so there was no trace of me. They asked what I had & said they'd figure it out. Fast forward 20 more minutes, they bring me a chocolate shake, still no food. "What was your order again?" This time the guy wrote it down & walked off. Fifteen more minutes, no food, shake was empty. I go back to the counter to just get a refund because I was ready to leave after an hour. The manager was super nice & refunded me, and then assured me that my food was a minute away. Once I finally got it, the burger was delicious, perfect really, the bun was fantastic & soft, and the Parmesan fries were really good. I probably won't be back, and the cashier Hailey probably should find a new line of work because she wasn't friendly or competent, but the food was five stars after I finally got it. That being said, Chillburger makes the best non-Local burger I have ever had. The space itself is beautifully decorated, even if it's seating can be pretty cramped at times, especially when it's busy. This has been my favorite burger joint for the past couple of months but they are slowly disappointing me. I went here last week and found a dark hair in my fries. Although not my first visit to a Chillburger, yesterday was my first visit to this new location in Clarksville. I ordered the single 4 oz burger with the cheese spread and lettuce. The cheese spread consist of three different cheeses, of which I can't recall at this time. I don't think they put a lot of the spread on the burger, as I couldn't really taste it until the last couple of bites, at which point it tasted pretty good. I know cheese is really fattening, but the more the better on burgers. The parmesan garlic fries were really good. I was a reluctant to order for fear I wouldn't taste the parmesan or garlic flavor. Thankfully I was wrong. I also ordered a milkshake: banana and peanut butter mixed. It was OK. I couldn't taste either flavor or the mix of the two. I probably won't order this combination again. The cherry was delicious! I forgot about their unique soda fountain flavors when ordering. I plan to try on next visit, as I'm sure I will return. I love the decor of Chillburger. The inside appears to be smaller compared to their Floyd Knobs location and the outdoor seating is definitely smaller. If I recall correctly, the outdoor seating may have 3 tables, while Floyd Knob has a whole patio space. The restaurant was very clean. The customer service was good. The food is well priced. The restaurant is trendy on the inside and very clean. The pallet wall is visually interesting. I HATE the chairs. The vibe is casual, the employees are friendly, the building is clean and the space is cute. Now for the bad news. Unfortunately, the value is poor. While the food is good, it is not nearly worth the price, especially in a small town. I purchased a 4 oz. (single patty) steak burger with bacon and fried egg, garlic parmesan fries, and a small hot fudge malt shake. That all sounds awesome right? Well for approximately $17, it was mediocre. I could have paid the same for a full steak or better yet, paid a third for a Quarter Pounder meal. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning as a regular customer due to the prices. I ordered a simple Cheeseburger with the usual fixings you would find on any classic burger. And what I got was directly a cheeseburger. It was like a painfully blunt and unexciting burger. The fries were wispy and crunchy, and also exactly average. The entire building looked like what a modern designer would make giving it a reasonable air to it.
