Made a second trip to this place Saturday afternoon, just as the first visit, I quickly found a seat in the bar area (first come)! Started this meal off with the Chicken Nachos that came out fresh and hot with chicken and chorizo as well as chili/cheese, lettuce, jalapeños and green onions and a side portion of a tasty salsa! Very good appetizer and a decent price at $8.99! My wife decided on the Fish and Chips ($10.99) while I opted to go with the Sunshine Burger ($9.99) both were very fresh, flavorful and hearty portions! Fish and Chips were three large portions of cod with a light coat of Samuel Adams beer batter and a side of sweet potato fries (I finished off the 3rd and final piece for her)! My Sunshine Burger was a 33% blend of bacon with the ground chuck cooked medium with bacon, lettuce, tomato and topped with a fried eggs on a home made bun! Very solid offering for a burger at any price but I felt worth every cent at $9.99 and easily a $12.00 burger elsewhere! The service and atmosphere are very good, Shane was our server and took good care of us, (was a very friendly and attentive server) while the plethora of televisions located around the entire bar area AND dining room kept us occupied as our food was coming out. Our visit to Bubbas on a Tuesday night was great. We arrived to a nearly full parking lot. Went in and we were seated promptly. We were greeted promptly by our waitress Courtney. Courtney was perfect, just the right amount of attention, she took our order. The kitchen got it right the first time and it was good food! My wife and I had the grilled chicken salad. It was fresh and the chicken strips were very tasty and had a just cooked flavor to them. The sweet iced tea was perfect with a huge lemon wedge. We were visited many times by Courtney to refill drinks, and to ask how everything was. Our whole party of six were in complete agreement about our whole experience here. Very disappointed. We drove over a half hour just for this pizza. We arrived and the 12" pizza had one piece of small pineapple per slice (except one slice had 0 pieces!). Went in and the manager "took care of it". Her taking care of it was heating pineapple up and then placing it on the pizza. Which when you pick a piece of pizza up all the pineapple falls off. Then to add insult to injury the cheese had already become cold and hard. Returned it immediately. Last visit I make to this establishment. read more

I have a new favorite burger joint, it's Bubba's33! I think this might be Texas Roadhouse's answer to the sports bar. There are giant TVs everywhere, tuned to many sporting events, but at least one of the TVs also had music videos playing, which was nice. You had better be hungry when you step inside these doors, because the burgers are huge 8 ounce patties and the fries and onion rings are very large portions as well. I had the Bubba burger with cheese. It has bacon in the grind, and it was delicious. It comes with seasoned french fries which I got loaded up with cheese and bacon bits for $.99 extra. I also tried the onion rings, which were also extremely good. They come with two dipping sauces ranch, and a reddish brown sauce that appears to be a combination of barbecue sauce and mayo. Whatever was in it was very tasty on the onion rings and fries! The service was outstanding; my server was Katelin. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being annoying. When she asked how the meal was, I told her that the the fries and the onion rings were a little cold. Without blinking an eye, she said "We will get you fresh, hot ones out to you right away". The manager also checked in to offer an apology and to let me know that the hot fries and onion rings were on the way. And the new ones arrived at my table in less than five minutes. I will be back to this restaurant very soon. I may just order dessert first otherwise I would never have room for it. I also wanted to mention, that the restrooms were very clean and tidy. Decided to try Bubba's 33 as we had never been there before and wanted to try something new. I generally am not a fan of sports bar-type dining as it is always too loud and the food is just average. I was not diasappointed. While the portions were adequate, the food was just average. We started with a half order of onion rings. While they looked fantastic they were on the greasy side and had very little flavor. Hubby got the mushroom burger. While it had more taste than the fries, he thought it was greasy. I tasted it and found it good but it was so sloppy that it falls apart in your hands. I ordered the smokey turkey and bacon on foccachia. Again, so sloppy it fell apart and I ended up eating about half of it with a fork. It was supposed to have some kind of honey mustard sauce on it but there was so little it was almost unnoticeable (that would have help covered the overbearing smoke taste). The smoke flavor was so overwhelmingly strong that I ate less than half of it but hubby liked it. A lot less smoke/charcoal taste would be better. The fries were thin cut and hot and were the best part of the meal. I don't see myself going back. Note to owners: if you are going to make such sloppy burgers, try toasting your buns so they'll hold up better. read more

Have eaten at this restaurant once before and wanted to try it again. Arrived around 3:00pm, so it wasn't crowded and we were immediately seated in an 8 person booth...as there was just the two of us we had a big table. Also on the table was a cloth napkin with silverware..... with what I think was "smeared" butter all over it...not what you want to see after being seated for dinner! When our server arrived I immediately pointed to it (didn't want to touch) and he too looked disgusted and said he would get more silverware. He arrived back and we ordered a shrimp dinner with fries and coleslaw and a fried fish dinner, slaw and upgraded the fries for onion rings for an additional $1.99, along with two waters. The 3 pieces of fish was very good as was the slaw. The onion rings were a disappointment as they were not hot and not crisp...almost soggy. On my previous visit they were delicious AND I was so looking forward to some more of those wonderful onion rings! The shrimp dinner...will not order again...shrimp were "rubbery", the slaw was good and the fries were hot and very salty. This restaurant has a lot of TV's above the booths and tables and the music is good but loud. Conversations, if important to you, can be difficult. Our server was attentive and efficient. After attempting to go to this restaurant several times and finding that the line was out the door, my parents and I finally decided to come in right after they opened during one of their lunch times on the weekend. The place was still packed but we were able to get a seat immediately. As a side note, we asked about reservations and they said that although they don't take them, you can call about an hour before you come in and you'll be on a list to be seated. Our waitress was very friendly and provided great service, coming by often to ask how our meal was and if there was anything else that we needed. Aesthetics-wise, huge TVs were placed all around the dining area so that no matter which way you were facing you were seeing at least four screens. It was especially nice because they had different games from the Olympics playing on each of the four, although I'm not sure what they play when it's not a sports night. We started off with an appetizer of loaded fries, and although I didn't care for the heapings of cheese put on, the fries themselves were excellent. For meals, I had the fish and chips, and my parents both had burgers. Both of the burgers were excellent and the fish was fried to perfection. The fries, again, did not disappoint. I had high hopes of this place being good since the parking lot was packed and there was a 20 minute wait. I had never read any reviews or dined there until today! We started off with Shot Gun Shrimp and it was so greasy and salty that I could only eat two. I had Aloha chicken, loaded mashed potatoes,and broccoli. They did a lousy job trying to trick the customers into thinking the potatoes were real. There were a few lumps, but that instant flavored taste stood out. I took a bite of my chicken and it was grilled too long and had a burnt taste. I got a to go box. Bubba's 33. I asked the manager what that meant and it was named 33 because of the year that prohibition had ended was 1933 and that they keep their beers chilled at 33 degrees. I didn't go for the beers this time I went for the food. I ordered the onion rings as an appetizer. The seasoning they used on them was perfect. For my entree I had the double bacon bubba burger with bubba's sauce.... YOU CANNOT FINISH THIS BURGER IN ONE SITTING!!!! It's that huge. It's they cooked mine medium liked I asked and it was amazing. The bubba's sauce reminds me of Chick Fil A sauce but with not as sweet and it compliments the burger perfectly. It's in Clarksville Indiana but it's worth the trip across the bridge because it's absolutely delicious. There are TVs that completely surround you so if the game is on you won't miss any of the action. So if you have a big appetite for a tasty burger and cold beer this is the spot for you. read more

Disclaimer, had a party of 8. The establishment does not have the capability of seating a party great than 6 at the same table. Of our party we ordered burgers, pizza, salad, nachos, and fish. Burgers were extremely greasy, and whomever cooked them didn't realize that you need to season the beef with salt and pepper as they were bland. Pizza was unremarkable and tasted as if it was cooked the previous day. Salad, which was my entree, was a tragically failed attempt. They seem to think a full iceberg salad from the 70s/80s is passable in any restaurant regardless of how poor they are. The people who ordered the nachos and fish said it wasn't bad, and would be willing to order the dishes a second time. Finally, the beers to which a portion of their namesake is attributed towards were laughable at best and completely unsatisfying. Any respectable restaurant should serve local craft beers and support the region they are located, but this establishment's seems to not care about the community it wants to support it. read more

Our first time here. There were four of us. We wanted to try everything but chose Cajun dry rub wings, smoked chipotle wings, sweet glazed bacon, side salad, sausage pizza and the onion rings. OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I have got to say, this has been hands down THE best burger I have had in the Southern Indiana area. Service is prompt and courteous. Appetizers and entry were out to the table in what I would call record time for an eatery of this caliber. Not overly busy, but not dead either. Had the double bacon burger with fire fries. If you don't care for spicy or have heartburn issues...don't get the fire fries. They don't just make your tongue and lips numb, you can feel the burn all the way to the stomach. Now, the burger is really, really, really good. Patties were nice and juicy. Bacon...mmmmmmm. bacon was plentiful and thick cut, just the way I like it. And your typical 2 pieces of cheese. Now, unless you are really hungry, you might want to go with just one pattie. Why? you may ask...because, even though I couldn't find it anywhere on the menu, I asked our server how big the patties were and was informed that they are 1/2 lb. patties. So the double is a full pound of beef, along with what seems like a 1/4 lb. if bacon. Food coma. Definitely come check this place out, plenty of seats. This is the newest Bubba's 33, we absolutely love this place. We have eaten at the one in Greenwood a few times and it is good as well. But this one is closer to home and brand new. Went to check out this place on a Thursday afternoon around 5pm. We live around the general area and have seen how packed this place has been since it's opened. We had perfect timing- walked in, grabbed a spot in the bar area (open seating) and were pleasantly greeted by our sever within just a few minutes. They have a good selection of beers for a chain restaurant that caters to the masses. I was happy to see that they carried GoodWood Louisville Lager on tap, so perhaps they will have a local beer on rotation throughout the year. I ordered the largest size of Dos Equis Lager (it was 95 degrees outside and this is my summer go to beer) and it came in a huge frosted mug. In that moment, it was the best damn beer that I had ever tasted :) So, major points on how cold and refreshing the temperature was. My husband and I ordered the chorizo queso/salsa and tortilla chips. The chips themselves are pretty tasty, and the queso was the best part. The salsa that is included had a weird taste to me, as if it had Italian seasoning in it. It was such a strange combination of flavors that we barely ate it. I ordered the spicy habenero burger that was topped with jalepenos, onions, lettuce, tomato, and FRIED JALEPENO CREAM CHEESE. It wasn't as spicy as I'd hoped, but the cream cheese totally sealed the deal for me. It was such a delicious mess that I just ate it with a fork instead of trying to pick it up. My husband had a chorizo topped burger which he thought was so-so. He said it was kind of bland and you couldn't really taste the chorizo at all. We both ordered a side of fries, which were a peppery, shoe string style. Not amazing, but not bad either. I was torn between giving a 3 or a 4 star review because on one hand, the beers were awesome, and I really enjoyed my burger. The service was prompt and friendly, and we had no issues with a wait. On the other hand, it's pretty loud in there and the bathrooms are set up thisclose to the server station and exit from the kitchen. I had to walk through a group of servers just to get to the ladies room, which can be seriously tricky if they're coming out of the kitchen with hot food. All in all, I think if you enjoy going out to eat to watch TV and/or ignore the people you're with, like slightly above average food at a reasonable price (4 20 oz. beers, an app, two burgers both with fries only cost us 54.00) then you'd probably really enjoy Bubba's 33. We'll probably go back on the basis of them having super cold Dos Equis on tap and a patio area (away from all the TVs) to enjoy them on a nice day. read more
