I'm not sure what "Bubbakoo" means, but the burrito shop by that name is another copycat assembly line Mexifusion kitchen in the mode of Chipotle. Pick your protein at the counter. Add the various other ingredients you desire and the form you prefer (burrito, quesadilla, bowl, etc.,) the flavor sauce of your choice, and pay at the end of the line at the cashier. The General Tso's Burrito was an interesting snack, stuffed with fried chicken, rice, veggies and a long squirt of dark amber sweet chili sauce. Not a bad marriage of Mexico and Chinese America, but too sweet and inauthentic. The Chips and Mexican Street Corn Salsa were likewise crisp and creamy, respectively. The corn in its traditional form with less cream and more bite would have been better. The store is in a highway mall out building decorated more like a surf shop, than taco stand. For some reason it was cold inside, perhaps to discourage dining in, but the employees were uncomfortable, too. As a result the ambiance left much to be desired. Three Chilly Stars read more

I attended a Yelp event with my daughter on Sunday after church. What a disappointment. We were told that the date has changed. It was to start on March 1st, but the persons at Bubbakoo's Burritos informed us that the date had been changed. So we did a forty plus minutes drive and tolls for nothing. After a crappy experience at the fast food Mexican place across the street a few weeks ago, we came here for lunch. Staff were so nice and explained the huge menu to us. My rice ball salad thing was awesome. So tasty and massive portion! He had the taco salad and it was huge and also tasted great. The chips tasty and came with a lot of them! Quesadilla with ground beef and mango habanero sauce was good but cooked in too much oil, making quesadilla too oily. Young lady who was cooking quesadillas said I can request quesadilla be cooked in less oil next time. I can make that request but would be so much better for all customers if Bubbakoos used less oil in all cooking going forward. read more

Wow! I just tried this place for the first time. I got a quesadilla with chicken, bacon and I added the garlic parm sauce.... It is sooooo tasty!!! I also got the curly fries.. they were a little cold and soggy by the time I got home but I popped them in the toaster oven for a few minutes and they were fine. The quesadilla is awesome. I'm stunned that this place has so many positive reviews. My reaction was not the same. Ordered on the app as a first time orderer. Struggled to put the new customer coupon on and it eventually ended up rejecting it. It was for free nachos as a welcome gift I'm assuming. Nice touch if you can get them--we couldn't. Sent a note that was ignored. Couldn't process the coupon and never got them either. Placed the order and it was a total of 56.00 for two burritos with fries, 2 sodas and 2 cookies. That seemed extremely pricey to me. I looked at the detailed copy and one burrito was 20.00 and the other was 14.00. The one that was 14.00 had almost no meat on it!! They were clearly completely different sizes. The sodas that were ordered also did not arrive with the door dash person. I called Bubbakoo's and the guy who answered said "well what happened to the drinks?" --Well gee that's why I called you. They weren't delivered. He again asked "were they just not packaged with your order here?" --How do I know what happened. You tell me! His response was "well what do you want me to do? " --Just give me a refund please. Jesus. Never again. Not a good experience here for a first time orderer. Won't do it again. Overall it was a mess. Still have not received the refund for the sodas that were not delivered!! Customer service is wonderful every time we come. The atmosphere in the establishment is fun. It reminds me of the 90s, the decade I grew up in. And there are two TVs that show cool videos of extreme sports and ocean life and such. The food is so good! I always get the hibachi shrimp tacos when I go there. My husband gets the chicken tacos or chicken burrito. Sometimes the chicken is dry but I suggest trying one of their awesome sauces! There usually is only 3 or 4 people working there, and they work so hard! Don't forget to tip them! read more
