Nice little taqueria. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and had a side of chips and salsa. The quesadilla was fantastic! Salsa was different than any I'd ever had. Thin with a light orange color. Flavorful, but I like my salsa thicker with a bit of kick. This had no kick whatsoever. The chips were thick and crunchy. I'm in town for 15 more nights. I may try again if the mood strikes me. Service was good. It was a bit loud as the whole crew and some customers were watching World Cup Soccer. read more

Uno Taqueria - Chicken quesadilla with chips and salsa. - Mexican Near Me - Allentown, Pennsylvania

Food: I ordered the carne asada tacos -- grilled Angus steak topped with onion, cilantro, and a creamy avocado sauce, all wrapped in a handmade corn tortilla pressed fresh to order. Simple, fresh, and full of flavor. On the side, I went with their esquites which was a yellow corn, slathered with a tangy crema, sprinkled with cotija cheese, chili powder, and a squeeze of lime. Sweet with just the right amount of spice -- the perfect complement to the tacos. Service: This spot runs on a fast-casual setup: you place your order at the counter and pick it up at the other end when it's ready. There's no traditional table service here -- they don't bus tables or check in during your meal -- but the process is quick, easy, and keeps things moving. Ambiance: The space has a casual, modern taqueria feel with a mix of rustic wood walls, warm lighting, and simple seating. Long bench seating lines one side with small tables, giving it a cozy but no-frills vibe. Since you order at the counter, you can watch the kitchen crew preparing fresh food as you wait -- which adds to the energy and authenticity of the place. It's more of a quick-bite atmosphere than a sit-and-linger spot, but it's clean, bright, and comfortable enough whether you're grabbing lunch solo or stopping in with a friend. Value: For $20.98, I got three tacos and a side of street corn. It's not the cheapest taco spot in town, but the handmade tortillas, quality steak, and generous portions help justify the price. Recommend: If you're craving authentic, no-frills tacos with bold flavors and fresh tortillas, this is the spot. Perfect for a quick lunch, a casual dinner, or even a takeout taco fix. This is my go-to place for tacos in the Lehigh Valley. read more

Uno taqueria is a fun experience. We used the kiosk to place our order. You are able to watch the chef prepare your order fresh! The people who worked there were friendly. Really enjoyed our experience here as it was easy and quick to go. Our meal came out to be about $34 for all of this. Would suggest this to someone who is trying to catch a quick meal and chill environment! read more

OH MY GAAAWWD. Listen, I cannot put into words how delicious my burrito just was. It was a little drippy, in the most delicious way possible, but keep some napkins nearby. I came here for a convention and am seriously considering making the 1.5 hr drive back just for this place lol read more

Not sure what more I can say that hasn't been said already but this place is outstanding. From the fresh tortillas to the quality of the meat and ingredients, you can't go wrong with whatever you order. I prefer the tacos just because of the tortillas but everything is great. Also, a great selection of sauce from mild to hot. Service is quick and attentive. Definitely a must try if you haven't had it yet. Just heard that some new locations are coming to Bethlehem and possibly Easton. read more

Uno is fantastic--definitely one of the top spots in the valley for tacos. Their corn taco shells are pressed to order, and the Birria (barbacoa) tacos are among the best you'll find anywhere. The only letdown for me is the horchata--it doesn't quite hit the mark. Just a heads-up: it's not cheap. Expect to spend around $50 for two people. read more

Came here for the first time. As a Mexican that has lived in Mexico City - these tacos are the best I've found in the area. Homemade tortillas, meat is well seasoned. I can't speak for the other menu items but I tried the cochinita and al pastor. Was definitely not disappointed 5/5 Will be back! read more

First time visiting. I'm glad I did. Ordered the steak fajita taco...chef's kiss. The place was relatively empty for a Friday night (at Christmas time), but they have plenty of TVs playing sports, and the music in the background was cheerful. The gentleman at the register who first greated my seemed preoccupied with his phone. The lovely young lady who took my order was much friendlier. read more

10/10 recommend! We stopped here on our drive to Philly & so happy we did. We arrived a few minutes before they closed unknowingly & they were so kind. Most places now would have said takeout only but they were more than accommodating and were fine with us dining in. The food was fantastic and so authentic. We started with chips & guacamole - so flavorful & fresh even at the end of the night. We split a bunch of tacos: birria, Al pastor, fish, and steak. The Al pastor & fish tacos were our favorite. The sauce they put on the fish tacos was *chefs kiss*. All the corn tortillas on the tacos were tasted homemade too. Highly recommend this place & for sure will becoming back! read more

The food is just delicious We are driving on vacation and spending the overnight in town We decided to try the Mexican food restaurant Uno Taqueria You will not be sorry A family restaurant for all and Will be going back to eat read more

After a hike, my girlfriend & I decided to try Uno Taqueria for the first time. I'm normally vegan, but I decided to flex to vegetarian so I could get something without complicating anything for anyone. I probably could have asked them to skip the cheese and sour cream, but I got into the habit of flexing on these while traveling with my GF. I got a vegetable burrito and it was delicious. In a lot of cases when getting "vegetable burritos", it's just a few pepper & onion slices, but this place did me solid: peppers, onions, cauliflower, and mushrooms! The burrito wrap was generously filled with content. It was all seemingly grilled and had a smokey flavor (and I'm betting shared surfaces for cooking, but I'll cope). The rice, beans, and cheese were also good. The tortilla seemed freshly made, per the signage, and I liked its toasted flavor. It took about a half hour to go from receiving the food to driving home and eating it, so a burrito here might be crispier if you eat immediately. Overall, I was very pleased with the burrito. My GF got a birria burrito and a ground beef taco. She really enjoyed the taco and was content with the burrito. She'd go back for the taco at least, and I would happily get the vegetarian burrito or one of the other three or four vegetarian options. The woman who took my order was nice and the atmosphere was casual, a bit noisy, and not at all busy (we were there between meal hours, seems). I hope they get more business at other hours. They also have a taco truck/trailer, but I'm not sure where they take that. Note : while my GF used a touch screen kiosk to order her food without problem, I couldn't find the vegetarian options shown on the printed and billboard-sized TV menus; the self-service ordering kiosk seemed very different from the menu. The place seemed clean in the time we spent waiting for our takeout, but the restroom seemed to be locked without anyone inside, and, since I only wanted to wash my hands, I didn't ask them if they kept it locked. I've no idea what it's like in there. read more

Happy to stumble on this spot of a gem. Many selection of tacos, enchilada and burritos. The quesadillas were amazing and packed with flavor. The tacos were also very good. Not crazy about the burrito, but would definitely come back for the quesadillas and tacos. Definitely want to try the other items on the menu. Bonus points with the variety of hot sauces to spice up your palette. It is a bit on the pricey side, but with that kind of flavor you bet I will be back! Also, great customer service. Very nice staff. read more

Authentic Mexican food - their street tacos are very good and made fresh to order - 3 per order. Not cheap, but very good. They also have Tex-mex tacos that are a little less pricey. Many different salsas from very mild to very spicy. read more

Quality food, fast service, quick in and out on a busy schedule. Highly recommend Uno Taqueria.

Super tasty. Very fresh. Well worth the price. Had 3 shrimp artisan street tacos. Shrimp was lightly battered, crispy. Shrimp cooked just right, plump and juicy -- cooked to perfection. Fresh pickled red onion, made that taco. Tostado was freshly made right for the order. Guacamole was delicious. Chips were delicious. Salsas were great. Would definitely recommend, did not think it was too expensive. Was really tasty. Churros were crispy on the outside, soft and delicate on the inside. Not over-sugared. Were delectable. Cannot wait to come back and try many of their other menu items. read more

As always, amazing food. Always fresh and delicious! Shrimp tacos are incredible. (They all are but these are better than anyplace else.

We stopped in here hoping for some downright authentic tacos. We are bias because we are of Latino heritage and have had tacos with tortillas made in house so our standards are high. They were disappointing at best, the pictures looked so promising but the taste fell short. It just didn't have that real authentic flavor. We got shrimp tacos, which by the way the shrimp are deeply fried to my moms disappointment. Second, the chicken in the empanada, my taco, and my husbands quesadilla lacked flavor. It honestly felt kind of watered down, like it needed a little spice or salt which is the last thing I want when eating some tacos. The guacamole was good. Overall, I spent $40 on two drinks, two tacos, guacamole with chips and a quesadilla. My mom spent about $15 on her 3 shrimp tacos. The service was fine, very nice people as well as the ambiance, nice restaurant with ample space, clean and many options. I was disappointed to see they didn't offer any chips and salsa while waiting for food lol Maybe the menu items we tried aren't their superstars, who knows, all I know is next time I'm in Allentown wanting tacos, I'll give another place a shot. read more

They grilled both sides of both tortillas used to make beef taco I think it was birria. I'll get it without cheese next time.

Was craving birria tacos and found this place. Was not disappointed. First of all their staff is incredibly kind and sweet. They were very helpful in suggesting things and even gave us the tongue to try. You read that right . It was so flavorful, though I can see if the texture wasn't universally loved. The tacos were delicious. I got it to go and sat at their tables outside so the birria liquid was in a separate container. I'll have to try it again and eat it there to see if it's more soaked when they serve it in store. They also have salsas available to taste which were all absolutely delicious. The peanut butter one actually has a great kick. I had a great experience here and would definitely recommend it to anyone. read more

Fantastic. We enjoyed pastor, fish and shrimp tacos as well as vegetarian tacos and guacamole with chips. They had several sauces with varying flavors and heat. Their suggestion of guava juice on ice was perfect to balance all of the flavors in the tacos. They had mango juice too, as well as sodas. No room for desserts. Great menu choices. Everything I've tried from here has been delicious so far, I honestly love it. My favorite thing to get so far have been the quesadillas (specifically the rib eye one), but the tacos are also great. They use freshly made corn tortillas that are out of this world. I tried a side I never had before called esquite....also fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Anyone who says the tacos are flavorless or bland are just plain wrong, they need to take their behinds back to Taco Bell where they belong. Only complaint is the side prices are a little high. But other than that I recommend giving this place a try! read more
