Food was very good and fresh our go to is the steak tacos the only thing I did notice when I got the taco salad with steak there was hardly no steak in it not sure what happened but overall pretty good and they have the blue atreat soda daughters favorite!! The only negative is when u get the tortilla soup u get these little crispy tortilla sticks in a little cup and they are so good to snack on when I asked if I could just buy some of them they said no it only comes with the soup?! There generosity is above reproach. So my daughter recently ordered from this restaurant. Unfortunately do a technical error the order was not correct. The owners were more than gracious and replaced the entire order. Now to us. We were honored to share in the excess. My take away it's Mexican fusion. I loved the subtle nuances of the cauliflower tacos which reminded me of a Mediterranean wrap with a MexTex flare! My friend and I are on the hunt for the best tacos in the Lehigh Valley. Sante Fe Taco is officially the third on our search, and didn't fare so well. We're specifically looking for street style tacos and Sante Fe does not have them. What they do have is an American taco: a fried flour shell, meat with cheese, lettuce and tomato. We ate anyway, of course! Since I'd like to compare apples to apples I went with chicken and spicy pork tacos. The pork was not spicy. Overall the tacos were basic, not very flavorful, but filling. They had a few different sauce options, I didn't particularly like any of them. The atmosphere of the restaurant feels like a pizza parlor to me, but I liked that it was loud and we could have a good conversation without anyone hearing us (one of our chief complaints on our search so far). I've had better food at a soup kitchen. Let me first start with, If I walk into establishment and they have a "coin dozer" and "claw machine" game I should instantly expect the worst. This restaurant was absolutely disgustingly dirty. The walls had maybe 3 inches of black grime on the bottom of them they were also covered with food splatter. Played it safe ordered a veggie burrito. Service was fast! but, the food was terrible. The burrito was made with yellow rice, black beans, and grilled veggies that had the same characteristics and consistency of canned beef stew. I would highly NOT recommend this. read more

Good thing we did, We also ordered chips and salsa and a 2nd order of chips withe queso. There was no chips and salsa. So I ran back in to get the chips and salsa, the girl who took our order needed to verify? by checking what she rang up before fixing their mistake. We literally were the only customer so this was just annoying and holding us up from making the 40 minute drive home. Still no salsa? Apparently we are supposed to have psychic abilities and know to get our own salsa from the bar in front of the counter. The best Mexican food in the area. I've eaten here several times and the food was always fresh and delicious. The building isn't fancy, you park in the back and walk into a few back doors into a nondescript building but it is clean. I see people cleaning constantly. The food prep area looks clean. I always feel like I'm walking into my favorite hidden gem. Although not so hidden....There's a reason there is usually a line out the door....great food! Few things to note if you go here: 1) Plenty of sauces 2) Plenty of sour cream What we liked: 1) Chips and guacamole were really one of a kind 2) Beef and Steak Tacos were amazing! Areas for improvement: 1) Burrito was below average. For some reason the burrito meat tasted different and over seasoned than the taco meat? The Roasted Vegetable Burrito is a NOT the typical sprouts and wheat grass usually offered to those of us who don't eat meat. It is a gigantic, jam-packed, glorious feast that takes two days to eat. Seriously, I think it weighs over a pound! They have a condiment bar with various salsas and hot sauces to please every palette. You can replace meat with roasted vegetables in all of their dishes. Hubby & I really love this place. My hubby grew up in the area & he used to rave about a place called Take-A-Taco that had closed a dozen years ago. About 3-4 years ago we discovered that Take-A-Taco still existed & was tied to the Sante Fe Taco Co. in Northampton. Hubby says they're tacos are a smidge different than the original Take-A-Taco, but they're still yummy delicious. They offer a choice of seasoned meats (shredded chicken, ground beef, shredded pork or sausage) to choose from for their regular tacos, but they also offer "specialty" tacos, such as a cheese steak taco. For those wanting to skip the meat, SFTC offers "specialty" black bean tacos, grilled veggie tacos, &, my favorite, fish tacos. Most of their tacos are served in lightly grilled flour tortillas with shredded lettuce and cheese (the fish tacos come w/ guacamole instead of cheese). The black bean taco is also offered in a hard, corn taco shell. SFTC offers more than just tacos. They also serve burritos, enchiladas, tamales (very good), chile rellenos, soup, chili, etc. Their prices are very reasonable, the portions are satisfying, and the staff is pleasant. Love the portions of fries and the size of the tacos were huge. Also tried the fried pickles with our meal, the southwestern ranch dip was superb. Great idea; needs work. I love the idea of a Buffalo chicken, scallop, or fire roasted vegetable taco. Unfortunately, none really delivered on their promise. The star was probably the scallop taco -- deep fried and crispy with a tasty creamy chipotle sauce. The Buffalo chicken tacos were close, but needed something like blue cheese or ranch and some chopped celery to really be called Buffalo chicken. But the clear worst was the fire roasted vegetables, which seemed more steamer tray than fire roasted -- mushy and completely devoid of flavor, lacking anything close to the expected sweetness of real roasted veggies. Went this past Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. Place has plenty of seating. It was a warm day. No AC and not much coolness but being after Labor Day. I could understand. There was a couple of tables out front but no umbrellas near them or in the tables. But I wasn't there for that. Plenty of all types of tacos. All sort of specials every day of the week. Cheap lunch I had chicken tacos. REALLY TASTY! The chicken was shredded and you didn't have to question. Where's the meat. The place was clean. The food was fast. I'm not a regular person there although the food is good. I called on Sunday about 4:15 to place an order. The website said Sunday 12-5. No one answered, so I tried online ordering. That was not available til the future, so I drove down because a message on the website said they were closing soon. I got there a little after 4:30. The lights were on, but a big sign inside said that they were closed Sunday's and Monday's. This is uncalled for. I came down because I thought they were too busy to answer the phone. Who is supposed to be in charge, or is the public just supposed to magically know the "real" hours. I will not take that chance again and waste my time, and gas!! read more
