Three beef tacos
Bridget B.

We stopped in here on Friday night for a quick bite to eat. What I liked about the menu is that they have a ton of options for those that want tacos, burritos, quesadillas, salads, rice or cauliflower bowls and wings. We ordered three beef tacos, a chicken burrito, Buffalo cauliflower and a side of chips and guac. I give it four stars because I would have liked the food a bit hotter and the burrito wrapped a bit tighter. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick bite to eat with a variety of options. We will be back!

Chipotle has certainly created a shift in the quick-serve restaurant scene. Bubbakoo's is another entrant into this market space with a few minor changes, more of a combination of Chipotle and Moe's. Where Chipotle minimizes it's menu in an effort to streamline the process, Bubbakoo's has a huge selection in terms of the proteins/mains available. Once you choose your entree and protein, you work your way down the serving line, selecting additional toppings as you go. I went in for lunch today, and the place was absolutely jumping around noon. Seemed like a lot of people checking out the new joint, but there were a few return patrons that the servers recognized and acknowledged in line, something I took as a good sign for a place this new. Eavesdropping on the group ordering in front of me, I opted for a chiwawa (according to the menu board, a "lightly fried panko crusted cheezy rice ball covered in nacho cheese and topped your way") with grilled chicken, corn salsa, queso, jalepenos and Sriracha ranch. It was quite good, and incredibly dense. I could barely get through it all, and at $8.50 it seemed like a good value. My wife ended up having a kid's meal beef taco and a side of rice & beans, which ended up being a nice sized serving for lunch. She enjoyed both. So, Bubbakoo's will seem familiar yet slightly different for most diners. I think the fun may be in exploring the huge number of options available. The service was still a bit slapdash, albeit very friendly, and the to-go packaging was not assembled/packed very well, but these are small forgivable sins that can easily be chalked up to a new business still working out the kinks. While this place doesn't seem to be anything particularly special, I do think I'll be back. I hope they have better luck than the two restaurants that have occupied the same space this year.

this is seriously what they charged us $12 for and it didn't even have hot sauce

I wish I could add a picture. We ordered a $12 burrito and it was literally 4 inches long. Was this your idea of a joke? Were we pranked? Can you prank the money back into our pocket? It didn't even have the super spicy hot sauce that was advertised. Are the burritos supposed to be 4 inches long or do yall just exaggerate inches so much you thought it was actually 8 inches?

I would give it three stars and half stars if I could. The food was fresh, the shrimp and other ingredients but my rice was under cooked. It was a big order and I couldn't eat it all but it was ok. I went back to get a side of guacamole and it was 2.45 which is too much to me. This food is good for young adults on the go but I wouldn't make it a meal on a regular basis.

No. Yet there are specialities on their menu that anyone can recognized who have that heritage. Mexican.... not really, but once again their 100% homemade Taco and Burrito dishes are again family recipe. Central American.... Yes. They best way to describe is you want to experience a 100% authentic Latino cuisine that brings the best of a varied menu to your table you must come here. !Que Rico is family owned . THERE IS NOT ONE THING OFFERED ON THIS MENU THAT COMES FROM A CAN OR JAR. No central menu R&D department packaging the latest frozen wacky concoction for distribution to their national chains running TV ads. They are the real deal Homemade Latino cooking and you know it's legit by the clientele. Especially at lunch hours! Grandma's on the premises making and overseeing her traditional recipes. Even still makes the guacamole by hand. I had Taco Bierre (tender brisket) three tacos that fell off the plate. Very hard to finish just two! The fillings are over the top delicious and the beef was shredded and juicy. Ordered a side of Rice and Black beans.... Provided on a large plate was amazingly good, traditional and like everything else these folks do was from scratch homemade. My wife ordered beef empanada and guacamole. One taste and you know it was made by hand from scratch. If you live in Hamilton Township NJ you need to stop by and experience REAL homemade Latino cuisine. Don't let the menu intimidate you. The staff will help any non Latino with decisions. . I just can't believe with the number of times I passes this place I never stopped in until today. I parking can be tough because of other storefronts but I tell you it's worth the experience. Check their website for particulars. I had three al pastor sopas. For .75 more you can mix your meat types which is nice. The masa dough is made in house. I love mexican but am allergic to jalapeños. This place only had jalapeños in the pico and they were way to remove. Their al pastor pork and pineapple is to die for. Flavorful but not spicy. The green salsa is mild but has jalapeños in it. If you like spicy hot food ask for the hot salsa. So good. Presentation is beautiful if you don't mess it up in the car like I did. I tried what they call the jello textured flan. It was so good and had a caramel liquid that I wanted to last forever. It was a nice size portion and under $3. There is also a cake like slice of flan but I didn't try that one. They do sell Mexican soda and ju aritos but I preferred a big gulp from across the street. Also the restaurant as a couple parking spots to make pick up easy. If the spaces are full I stop at the 7-11 across the street which is very convenient.

I'd known about them for years, but they were kind of out of the way for me. The place is small and unassuming, which gave me high expectations, as sometimes I find myself having lower expectations for a more "Mexican" decorated place (I'm wrong as often as I'm right). As far as the Fish Tacos went, they do not serve the Baja style fried fish tacos that I'd grown up on out west, so it was a downer when the plater arrived and I saw the tacos filled with chopped fish cooked in broth. That said, at least the taco was well filled and the fish had a very good flavor. The broth turned out to be a major issue, as the (very tasty) single layer tortillas were soaking up the broth while I ate the first taco, and the second and third tacos both split at the seams and fell apart after one or two bites. A second tortilla may have prevented this debacle, but I won't order fish tacos here again. I'd have loved a fish soup made in this style. The next visit I tried Tacos de Tripa (fried pork intestines), which is my current go to taco style. They were very good, and I enjoyed the heck out of them. They were nice and crispy as I'd requested, and the excellent tasting tortilla made them an excellent choice. My wife had a cheese tamal that had ribbons of poblanos inside as well, and it was also very good with the poblanos providing a nice balance to the heaviness of the cheese. I'd get both again in a heartbeat. My third visit was at lunchtime, and I opted for a Torta de Chili Relleno--essentially a chili relleno sandwich. It wasn't the first I've ever had, and it's a fave torta when I see them on the menu--which isn't often. The torta arrived with a nice sized chili relleno along with the usual smear of beans, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, and a couple pieces of queso fresco served on a lightly toasted roll. Overall, the torta was very good tasting, and it went down nicely. However, I wish they used a little firmer roll instead of the soft one they did use. The torta was big and warm, and a crustier roll would have been better. The soft one used was near to collapsing under the weight of the ingredients. Fries are an option on the many torta options for a couple dollars extra. In retrospect, I'd have liked to have added a layer of fries to the sandwich for a little extra kick. All in all, El Gallo Tropical is a place I'll continue to go to. The staff is very friendly, and the menu is extensive (too big?). Although I had them initially at three stars after my first visit for fish tacos, the second (4+) and third (4-) visits have raised them up, and I'm rounding up to a four.

For too long a time, the choice just used to be just one place on 33 that no longer exists (even the building is gone). If not there, then one needed to head to Trenton for the Guatemalan places that served some solid tacos to go with their regional cuisine. Now, we've choices galore, and since we're no longer held hostage by lack of options, we actually have to put thought into deciding where to spend our dollars. My Quate has now been serving up tasty south of the border standards for about a half dozen years, and after a number of visits, I can say that My Quate is solidly on my list of places worth going to. The location is on the small side, and every time I've been there, there's been just one person working the front. Sometimes if it's busy it can take a few minutes before the counter person can get to you, but they've always been cheerful and attentive. The place is always clean, and it's got the usual bright decorations that you've grown to expect when going for Mexican style food. Probably my favorite item on the menu is the Tortilla Soup. It has a depth of flavor that hits me where I live, and it's a fantastic cold night dish (or anytime dish), and even the cup sized serving can be fairly filling in itself. If I need some Tortilla Soup, My Quate is my choice. They serve two different types of enchiladas--their House style and their Traditional style. The difference between the two appears to be the toppings and choices of sauces. That said, you need to pay attention. I ordered a House style chicken mole enchilada, and the server asked me if I wanted grilled chicken or shredded. I said shredded, but that only comes with the Traditional style. So what I got was the shredded chicken enchilada en Mole, but instead of being topped in the cheese sauce that the House style gets, it was topped with lettuce and sour cream (which I dislike). Luckily the sour cream wasn't super heavy and by smearing it in with the mole it was hidden, but it was a lesson in paying attention to the menu. That said, the Mole was very good, a hint of sweetness, but not excessively so, and it went down well. The fish tacos served here didn't quite make the top 3 of my faves (https://www.yelp.com/collection/3YtEEhWaFEnyFZ4JjP0nbw/Fish-Tacos-in-Hamilton-Area-Ranked) in the Hamilton area--mainly due to them not being the battered, deep fried style I prefer, but they were the BEST of the chopped, non-fried fish tacos. They were tacos with above average flavor, likely due to the flavorful liquid in which they're cooked (braised?) that's full of tomatoes, onions, and chiles. To top it off, they're served on a fresh, house made tortilla that's got a robust texture that didn't succumb to the wetness of the fish, and that tortilla also had a great flavor that you only get from freshly made tortillas. Probably my only real negative is the salsa that is served with the totopos at the beginning of the meal after sitting down. It's just lifeless and is like dipping your totopo into a bowl of crushed tomatoes. There's no pico in that gallo. Aside from my minor issues with the free stuff, My Quate is well worth the visit if you're looking for a quality Mexican style meal.

We placed a takeout order through Uber Eats totaling $172.89, expecting a fresh, enjoyable meal. Instead, the food arrived cold, soggy, and in completely unacceptable condition. The quality was so poor that we could not reasonably consume the meal, and the entire order ultimately ended up in the trash. Beyond the terrible quality, I had legitimate concerns about consuming food that arrived in this condition. Despite my legitimate concerns, Uber Eats refused to refund my money after I called them to complain about the food. After spending nearly $173, this was simply unacceptable. Despite explaining the condition of the food and my concerns, Uber Eats refused to provide a full refund, leaving me out $172.89 for a meal we couldn't reasonably eat. Customers should not have to choose between eating food they believe arrived in unacceptable condition or throwing away nearly $173. This experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Shame on Bombay Farst for allowing an order to leave in this condition, and shame on Uber Eats for failing to adequately resolve the situation. I will not be ordering from Bombay Feast or through Eats again.
