(We got refunded after waiting almost 30 minutes for our food). The longer version is for those interested or bored; Out of the loop when I was on the phone, apparently they asked my friends to move away from the doorway and "blocking" the entrance. According to my friends, they moved to a table near the stairs so they weren't "blocking" the entrance. Fast forward I get off the phone, and me and my friend go in. We order our food, pay and wait for our food. As we wait, an officer walks in and asks the second cook if he called and the cook acting clueless said maybe it was the boss. Clearly he knew it was the boss since he was looking at us the entire time but seemed okay with taking out money and our order. As we are still waiting (about 15-20 minutes now,) when 5-8 cops enter the store and speak to me, someone who was on the phone and never even met or spoke to the person who asked my friends to move, if I was asked to move. I say no which makes it look suspicious because I was truly never asked to move. The cops explain that the owner/cook asked my friends to move and had an "exchange of words" and "suspicious looks." Mind you, we are just some hungry teenagers who wanted some empanadas. But from my understanding, my friend didn't even say anything when they were asked to move apart from "we're going to go in, we're just waiting for our friend cause he's on the phone." Even though my friends did move. The Owner/cook still called the cops. The officers first tell us we have to leave now but we can come back in our food at a later date and he would refund us the money, which he did, but the question ponders... If he called the cops to have us trespassed why take our money and order in the first place? Why not just refuse service so there didn't have to be a scene and no cops necessary? Personally I think they should have just gave us the food because, if we got our food we would have just left we weren't planning on eating in anyway. Regardless of this whole situation the food is expensive, just based of looks alone it did not look like the price but it is Princston so I'm not expecting the price to be low. All in all just a horrible experience especially since we haven't eaten all day and had less than 3 hours of sleep. We just wanted food and got trespassed because he just simply didn't wanna serve us even though they did move when they were asked to. The owner lost customers, made a scene for no reason wasting the officers time and resources, and refusing to speak to us and taking our money than refunding it instead of just refusing to serve us in the first place. I would say this had something to do with race however my friends are all Hispanic and so was he, so he just did this for basically no reason other than to be an A-hole. I'm banned from this place now along with my friends and I'm glad, I wouldn't recommend going to a place with this kind of service and disrespect to waste our time. Thank you to the officers (Princston Police Department) for being understanding and respectful unlike the establishment.

Each empanada was absolutely incredible!!! it is so hard to decide my favorite. The first one I ate (kids have shellfish allergies) was the Rasta Pasta, oh my, oh my , OH MY!! Please do not change the recipe! Absolutely delicious/perfect!! Did I mention, OH MY!! The owner isn't just a great guy but he's a mad genius. Things that I would've never thought to put in an empanada, he Severus Snapes it together and I've yet to have a bad one. The potato salad was smooth with some chunks of potatoes and a light crunch from the veggies. My favorite was the beans that pair perfectly with the rice and meat! All this for only $12!!! Wow! I highly recommend it. I also tried their beef empanadas. They were excellent. They're fried to order and homemade. There's a lot of filling and the beef inside is perfectly seasoned. The last time I had empanadas this good was at my Puerto Rican friend's house where his grandma made them! A close second was in Rincon, Puerto Rico. These are that good. They're a must try. This a lovely local neighborhood corner takeout restaurant. You can call ahead to order your food to avoid the the wait. The owner and staff are all very friendly and happy to answer any questions and provide recommendations. They have a tv in the waiting area and some drinks for sale. Inside is very clean and everything looks new and well organized. The food all homemade and delicious. Portions are very generous and a great value for what the charge. I'm looking forward to trying more of their food. I highly recommend it! It's definitely worth a trip to check it out. Support your local restaurants.

Each empanada is handmade, baked fresh, and clearly labeled both on the menu and directly on the pastry itself, which makes it easy to keep track of what you ordered. The range of flavors covers Caribbean and American influences, with solid options for vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free diets. You can stock up on frozen empanadas to bake at home, which is a great option--and they're very easy to prepare. Just place them on parchment paper and bake for about 10-15 minutes. Each empanada also comes with a small instruction card, which is a thoughtful touch. The corn empanada I tried was excellent, and the chimichurri salsa (their most popular) is worth getting. Overall, the quality, size, and variety make this place worth going out of your way for. Support local!

Food that you share with others and create different flavors on your own with their amazing sauces. Served takeout. No seating. Before I begin my review and before I even begin this I question yelp. How is it then when I put in the word "empanada" and "North Wales" this restaurant establishment did not come up? What are your algorithms doing that prevent this? Perhaps this is why I never saw it before. Is yelp retarding possible locations through algorithmic distortion? Hmmmmmm? And...did you see my pictures. Let's just say the food tastes absolutely amazing, and it's as flavorful as the saturation of the colors in the photos. How can I say It's a find when it's been there for years? Because not enough people know about it. And if they did, it would be a franchise. But you need to get the recipes. I'm sure you can get all the equipment, but there's a lot of love in these dishes. Time for the review..... I've gone here twice for my office. The first time I got nine the second time I don't know how many I got, but every time these empanadas disappear. They're in the normal pastry shell, or Colombian- in corn called Maza. First, I'll tell you in order what I ordered, a photo is attached: Roasted poblano - delicious with a tasty little hint of poblano pepper Chicken Colombian - the most delicious empanada of them all. A delightful corn pocket with a tasty chicken filling Buffalo chicken - tasty buffalo chicken in a pastry pocket Beef cheesesteak - it's exactly what it says Mixed vegetable Colombian - this is vegetarian and really delicious with the sauces Barbecue pulled pork - extremely tasty, and perfect for the game The coleslaw is exceptional as is the soups. I had the chicken posole, which was absolutely the best I've ever had. The sauces are all great. But always, always, use Valentino, at least a little. So I ordered 23 the second time for the office and they flew off the table. The quote of the day was "I could've eaten the whole box." This family brings a unique pride to North Wales. North Wales has some of the best food of the area. Bagels, baked goods, pizza, and a various list of other places, including ice cream. I suggest for the game ordering 50, mixed, they're all labeled, with coleslaw, flan, soups. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Did diners and drive-ins hear about this? Bobbie, you should make food this good. Hey Mr. wonderful. Here's a franchise that would make everyone happy. -But you can't re-create the recipes without this family. Absolutely stunning- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now here's a really cool part as a footnote. You can take them home and reheat them tomorrow and they will taste just as good. OMG. Or to your friends in New York or Jersey where they will say "...where the ____ did you get these ?" (Slowly, turning them into an Eagles fan.)
