Mojjara with ala diabla sauce. Not too spicy. Just right for me but others may feel spicy.

This is an authentic decent Mexican restaurant. I initially had little trouble speaking with the staff because I don't speak Spanish. However, they do have English speaking staffs who helped us ordering the food. The taste is really good, staffs are friendly and prices are normal. You should give a try.

Take out chicken tacos, different style of chicken but ok

I'm trying to visit more of my local Hispanic options. This is no easy feat as this area seems to be spawning more businesses each time I check. ML was closest to me, so I called in a takeout with minimal language barrier. The shop was empty at 2:15 save for the mother and child who greeted this gringo with just a touch of surprise. The cute and clean room has about 12 tables and was gently air conditioned. This is definitely hole in the wall, but not in a scary way. Not being able to see the menu I blindly ordered chicken tacos. The chef( I imagine) asked me what kind of chicken I wanted. This caught me off guard and I said whatever usually comes with this item. It turned out to be a pulled chicken that was all white meat and still juicy and slightly seasoned. It was tossed with onions and cilantro and came with radish and lime plus two green sauces, one was spiced up with the addition of jalapeño. These were good and generous tacos for $7, but I would have preferred fowl that had spent some time on the plancha. I think I would try something other than tacos here to better gauge what this spot does best. 3.5 more research required Yelps

Mexico Lindo Restaurant sits on a rather forlorn strip of South Broad Street in Hamilton, a few blocks before you get to the Trenton line. Don't be deterred by the urban decay visible in the area, because once you walk inside this unassuming storefront you cross the border into Mexico. Vibrant colors, a hodgepodge of odds and ends tables covered with more colors, a HD TV showing the latest soaps from Ciudad Juarez, and a hand painted mural of the Mexican Eagle grasping a Rattlesnake emblazed on the wall. I was surprised I was not asked for my passport. And, the food was very good, as there is an ever growing population of excellent Mexican, Guatemalan, Honduran, Salvadoran and even Puerto Rican shops in the vicinity - making for healthy competition. My Torta Milanese de Pechuga was a fat boy sandwich on an oversized roll filled with Breaded Chicken Cutlet, Lettuce, Tomato, String Cheese, Mayo and a bit of Chipotle Sauce. Delicious. It was really too loaded to just pick up by hand and stuff into mouth. Knife and fork were needed to get everything into my mouth collectively. The accompanying Crinkle Cut Fries were also above average. My most pleasant surprise was ordering the Jugo de Melon drink. This was the water added version of a milk shake made from Watermelon, and it came served in the aluminum blender container. It was totally refreshing. My Spanish was just adequate for a few short conversations about the restaurant, and to permit me to compliment them on a terrific little joint. The owner and his family came out to eat while I was there, and I made it clear the food was delicioso, and that I would revuelve pronto.

    Enmoladas estriol de Mexico!

Being that it's almost impossible to find a Mexican restaurant in Trenton, let alone one that actually makes good, authentic food, I will give this place 4 stars. I came here for the first time and overall wasn't disappointed. I ordered enmoladas, which weren't on the menu but they made it for me, and my husband ordered a tri Mexican platter. Both were actually really good! The mole sauce was flavorful and had a nice balance of spices and flavors and definitely tasted authentic. The meat on my husband's dish was cooked well, not dry at all. The only disappointing thing was that the chips and salsa were both not even close to being homemade. The chips were from a bag and the salsa roja was straight from the bottle. The salsa verde maybe was real but it was hard to tell. If I go to a legit Mexican restaurant...I feel like all of the salsas should be homemade, never out of a jar. They don't accept cards so bring cash. But all in all you won't be disappointed. Friendly and attentive staff too, which is a rarity is Trenton area restaurants. I would go back.

Probably the best Mexican food in Trenton. I lived a month in Guadalajara and this is authentic Mexican. Their burritos are huge and full of meat. Delicious. The carne tacos are excellent, especially if you're a cilantro lover like me. The only reason I'm not giving the fifth star is the service is a little lacking. It could be my imagination but I felt like the waitress was giving me the cold shoulder because I was the only gringo in the place. I asked for water and utensils and got neither. After a second request i she put water down and walked away. Otherwise, excellent food. The place is small.

They have traditional mexican decor and of course the section of candles lit for Jesus and his saints!

We came here for brunch on a Saturday which happened to be Valentine's Day as well. The entire place was decorated with heart balloons, flowers on the wall, and the sweetest music playing. Even their regular decor is spectacular; the tables are spotless, beautiful velvet green chairs, and the cleanest bathroom. I also LOVE that their menu is a tour of South America because you can get such a variety of different flavors. We started with an order of their beef empanadas which were spectacular ! Then I ordered a Costa Rican Gallo Pinto breakfast (black beans, rice, chorizo, avocado, sweet pla trains and egg). Hubby ordered a exican breakfast of huevos rancheros (cubed potatoes, sausage, onions, peppers, chorizo, eggs and red sauce). Our son ordered the Nutella, strawberry pancakes which he also LOVED. Everything was very reasonably priced between $13-17 and was a good portion. The coffee was also amazing, sadly $5 which was a little pricey with no refills...but I'm happy to support a small business versus a chain. Kevin who was our server was so sweet and kept checking in to make sure we were liking our food. Then at the end of our meal they gave us the most delicious flan because it was Valentine's Day! Make aure to check this place out, parking is a little tricky, but otherwise it is worth the trip into Chambersburg.

And the other plates are more expensive but I thought I left a bit hungry the portions could be a little bigger or the prices a tad bit lower. My husband said the food was good but they gave him so little rice for his Costa Rican gallo pinto. It's nice to support small businesses perhaps if in the mood for fancy pancakes or BYOB would be back since they do have a pretty ambiance. No music was playing though when we were there. Service was not bad they didn't ask if we needed anything but when we did ask for stuff the answered friendly.

It is amazing how Mexican rugs thrown over tables change the look and mood of one of the classic Italian houses. One can only hope they can do something that is the Mexican equivalent of the great Chicken Cacciatore that its predecessor was known for. The space is casual, but also clean and well organized. The bar is no longer servicing alcohol, but in its place are fresh squeezed fruit/vegetable juices. My large snifter of Carrot Juice was sweet and coolly refreshing. The menu is diverse and provides just enough English to hint at what you will get. My Torta Carnitas (slow cooked pork) was huge and enough for 2 meals. The Roll was thin and nicely crunchy. There was plenty of meat at the bottom and it was the base for the Lettuce, Avocado, Onion, Jalapeno, Fresh Cheese, Tomato and Spicy Mayo that all came wrapped neatly in paper. I needed knife and fork to work my way through the half torta, taking the other piece home for another lunch. The combination of fresh veggie juice ($4) and the torta ($8), may seem steep for this type of shop, but when you realize they are preparing two meals for you, the value proposition becomes outstanding. El Portrillo asks if "You have tried the best Mexican food around?" They are certainly entitled to their hyperbole, because it is among the best I have sampled in Trenton.

To the point of saying the back end cooks set the prices for the food. What? It's not the restaurant management? Why would they function like this? She was clearly lying. They could have had a great, loyal client, but instead their rudeness has kept me off of their restaurant. Never again will I order from them. By the way, food is just ok.
