Omg this place does not look it but it was an amazing place. It definitely deserves the rating it has. Upon entering it is a little tight with tables close together. The waitress was nice and helpful in getting the order the way we wanted it. I got the Bandeja Latina which is basically a skirt steak with rice beans and tostones. The meat and tostones were done amazingly well. The beans were not to my liking but still good. My husband got the NY strip steak in medium which came out medium well ( which is what he wanted always got to leave room for error). He said it was a great steak and cooked well. If you are in the area definitely stop by. NOTE: their menu prices are not updated on their menu so always ask. read more

The experience was 5 stars. I came here after a recommendation from someone in town. I asked for good breakfast. I was surprised by this little hole in the wall in a strip mall. The food was excellent and the service was great. I appreciate the nice waitress who took my order. The juice was fresh. The place was quiet and not the prettiest decorated but the character helped it's authenticity. The food was great, flavorful, and in abundance. the prices are very reasonable and bathroom was super clean. Would definitely come back. Great for small groups of 5-12 ppl. Enjoy! read more

Picked up take outs for dinner and wanted to try their specialties. #65 Bandeja Paisa that came with white rice, steak, pork cracklings, plantain and a fried egg (Mexican sausage missing from order). All the meats were seasoned well. We also ordered #68 Chaulafan which is their version of fried rice with chicken, shrimp, steak & pork. It was seasoned just right and the portions are big. Came here with my Son on a Saturday afternoon. . We were not in mood for full dinner so we each had an order of beef tacos. The beef taco platter has three tacos a side salad and a hot spicy stuffed pepper. Absolutely delicious. The also serve Inca and Coca Cola in bottles--makes the soda taste better. We have been here before for dinner. Remember that is was good also. They have churraso steak and sweet plantains (Plantaino murdos). The atmosphere is typical for the central American restaurants in the area. Tables are part of a low booth assembly that are all connected. Staff is more fluent in Spanish, but that makes the experience better. Menu is American English friendly, and staff is very friendly and patient. The restaurant has lunch specials that seem very reasonable Monday through Friday, but not on weekends. read more

Food is great. Business practices are BAD. I ordered the beefsteak meal. It totalled $18.34 so I paid in cash with a $20 and was expecting $1.66 back. I received $1.00 back and when I asked for the 66 cents the cashier said they don't give change. BAD business practice and illegal. I Do Not recommend this place at all. This was originally owned by a close family friend so I've been going to this spot for years! Then he sold it and the already amazing food and quality became even better. My favorite dish is the pepper chicken dinner with rice beans and plantains. Ughhh it's honestly to die for. Definitely give this place a try. I've had a waitress be a bit rude once but she could've just been having a bad day cause they're normally extra friendly here, regardless I pay the service no mind since the food is so good. read more

Two Flags is a tiny Ecuadorian restaurant located in a even smaller strip mall hard on Route 33.While doing a bustling takeout and lunch business with the Latin American crowd of Heights town and Monroe it still offers a clean,comfortable,and friendly place to dine on such favorites as Chivo Guisido,{hearty, tangy goat stew served with rice,salad and avocado}. Bandeja Paisa,{Thin grilled steak,fried chicharron,egg,ham, beans and rice,salad and a small but tasty arepa} Rabo Guisado,{Ox tail stew} and just about every fried and grilled Latin American favorite you can think of. There's even a small but expertly made selection of Tacos to round out the menu. Randomly walked into this place because my boyfriend and I were going to a nearby haunted hayride and wanted to eat dinner beforehand. This place doesn't have much of an atmosphere. It kind of reminded me of places you would see in Paterson. The food was awesome and plentiful. I ate everything! Also glad that our waitress spoke English fluently, but I don't think everyone there does. read more

Wow, great food and great value! I got rice, beans, salad, fried sweet banana, nice size of steak and chicken flame grilled! Ohh also with 2 eggs over medium well on the top. The food is good but the customer service is so horrible, I had to give it a ONE star. Let me break down my experience here: I walk in to place a takeout order and one of the two servers (young women in their early 20's) looked at me but did not acknowledge me or attend to me to take my order. One of them nudged the other to attend to me since she wasn't doing anything that important- it's not like she was attending to other customers! Otherwise, I would have been standing there with no one to at least greet me. Very poor restaurant etiquette. So this lady couldn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish, so there was a language barrier automatically. I realize this is a Spanish food establishment, but I'm sorry, you're a waitress working in the United States and you will inevitably have some American or solely English-speaking customers, so it's not right that a person dealing with the public doesn't speak the language. Come on now. Then, I noticed yummy looking cakes in the glass counter and asked the other server what they were, and she replies with an awful attitude and says, "Cakes? I don't know...sorry." So finally when my food was ready, I pull out my debit card to pay and the server (who had the attitude about the cakes) says to me while shaking her head "No, no." Instead of politely informing me that they have a minimum of $10 to use debit or credit cards, she just says "No, no." And she spoke better English than the first girl, so there was no excuse for the abominable communication. So luckily I had a 20-dollar bill in my wallet, so I handed that to her. She gives me back my change then walks away. Doesn't say, have a good day or thank you. Nothing. Some may attribute these terrible manners to cultural differences or language barrier, but the attitude was there and it sucked. read more
