Been going here for a couple of years now and still very happy with their service. I've gone in to fix a broken acrylic and they took the initiative to fix all of my nails without me saying a thing (shine wore off because I scratch my dogs so much, they bugged them for me quickly and made them all look fresh). Always do a great job with the different nail shapes I've tried and keep everything very even. I'm super picky with having all of my nails look the same and they always do a great job. I would not reccommend this salon. I had a dip and pedicure done on a Friday afternoon and both had chipped by that Sunday. By Tuesday I had to go to another salon to have the dip taken off it was so bad. Dips usually last one month for me. Such a waste of time and money. read more

I have gone to this salon several times. They are close to home and it is hard for me to find free time to squeeze it in. The prices are average. The service is average.I read some of the reviews below and agree it is absolutely a waste of time to make an appointment. I have sat for 40 minutes before they even take me - supposedly with an appointment. That does irritate me. We make an appointment for a reason. Also they do advertise all of those "extras" with any manicure and I have NEVER gotten any of them including even an offer for a cup of water. If you like to be pampered this IS NOT the place to go. I've been looking for a new nail salon for a few weeks and decided to check out BT Nails in Plainfield. It was empty so I got to sit right down for my fill. David is the employee that did my nails and from pretty much the start he argued with me about every little thing. From the shape of my nails to painting the tips. He clearly doesnt know how to treat customers especially NEW ones. When I asked him for the file so I could show him how I prefer the ends filed he mumbled something under his breath in his language. I was getting no chip, which is more expensive than regular polish, and he carelessly painted on my skin and never wiped it off. I had to ask him for a 3rd coat of no chip because you could clearly see through the first two. I could tell he was pissed about it and he proceeded to argue with me since he had already applied the top coat. He also never put lotion on my hands at the end nor did I get a little hand massage, which is common practice in this industry. I'm normally a really high tipper but after how David treated me I only tipped him less than half what I would have normally tipped for that service. They didn't even offer a discount for paying in cash, which is common at every other nail salon and I definitely WON'T be going back. I can see why the place was empty now! #SMH read more

I am new to area and didn't want to go all the way back to my old nail place. Came here once for a no-chip french manicure. The owner worked on my nails for me. All in all a no-frills salon lots of capacity - sort of like a manicure warehouse. My nails looked fine leaving the salon. However, a few days later my french tips started turning orange, and remained that way until I was able to renew my manicure. There was also a little chipping/distortion within a few days which I've never experienced with a no-chip. Hm. I'm not sure if I'd be back. Maybe if I'm in the area and have no other option. BT Nails was ok. I went with two other girls and a three year old. We were taken care of quickly. I was seated relatively fast and they were able to begin working on me right away. The man (I have forgotten his name) was absolutely awful. He worked on my feet extremely fast and gave my feet and leg a little pat which was apparently supposed to be my massage. I was done so much faster than the rest of my party and he sat on his phone, in the corner, not doing anything. They weren't very busy so it wasn't like he needed to go somewhere else. He did a good job actually painting my nails and it lasted a long time, but for the price you expect a little pampering. I can do a good job of painting my toe nails and its much cheaper. The rest of my party had a decent experience, but nothing spectacular happened. I'm sure you can find something better for cheaper. read more

Although there seems to be a regular turn over of staff, they are always friendly and do a good job. The salon is clean and usually very busy. I suggest scheduling an appointment. They feature a full menu of services for both fingers and feet and reasonably priced. A mani-pedi with a design on my toe nails cost $65.00. I'm a big fan of fake nails, I like my nails to look good all the time. When this place first opened, I went here consistently for about 6 months to get acrylic nails. Just about every time, Helen did my nails. At first, Helen was really nice, always cutting my nails or fixing a broken for free. I don't know what happened, but she slowly started to dislike me. She began charging me for the things that were once free, and after a while, she wouldn't even talk to me. She would only speak to ask me if I wanted my eyebrows waxed, which is fine once or twice, but every time is just insulting. Eventually, I grew tired of the decreasing quality of my nails. The nail techs do a nice job on the actual painting, filing etc. but you absolutely do not get what you pay for. Every time I come here I get one of the "deluxe" pedicures. I NEVER get what is described. They do not know what they are supposed to be doing. All deluxe pedicures are supposed to come with the following. This is straight from the menu and online : If a pedicure of $45 or more is chosen, please enjoy a free warm herbal shoulder wrap, reflexology, a hot stone massage, and paraffin wrap. Literally the worst dip manicure I've ever gotten!!! I got these done Thursday and an hour later my index finger nail broke. The nails were super thin and I was confused that he used UV light which is not necessary for a dip manicure. When I went to get my index nail fixed all he did was file one side which obviously did not fix the nail. Here are my nails just three days later. Never going back!!! I only came here because my normal nail place was too busy. I will never return. Don't waste your money. I have never had paint chip so quickly for a manicure and I especially have never had a dip manicure just cracking and falling apart. Poor customer service and even worse quality. read more

I came here for the first time on Valentine's day, and had no problem. I went in earlier today for a fill in and a nail put back on. I was told to have a seat and that David would be right with me. Keep in mind, I was the 2nd person in there, so not busy what so ever. About 15 minutes pass and I'm still sitting in the chair waiting for my fill in. After some time had passed, he sat down and didn't even greet me. He then had picked up his Comcast bill and was reading it over, and then placed a call to them. I waited a few minutes and he finally started taking the paint off my pinky nail and that still took him 5 minutes to do because he kept stopping to talk and look over his Comcast bill. He had only taken off the paint on 3 of my nails in the 20 extra minutes I had been sitting there. That was also the only hand he had done. He then stopped once more, and said he would be right back. I went here recently just to get my brows waxed, so I can only rate my experience on that. There were about 3-4 other women getting their nails done in the salon when I walked in, but I was taken back right away. I WISH I got the name of the woman who took care of me because she was outstanding. Typically, when I've gone to other salons, the women who wax me are kind of "one and done." That's nice and all if I'm on a time restraint, but, eyebrows shape the face, they need their tender loving care! The woman here was an absolute perfectionist and was constantly nitpicking my brows to make sure they looked good after she was done. Horrible customer service I went in for a pedicure it was my 4th time there first visit I had both nail dip which was a horrible job done by the male owner who sits near the register the pedicures are decent done by the women nail techs. Anyhow my last visit I was told upon leaving after they had taken my money that I was not welcomed to come back due to me wanting my pedicures too nicely done I'm sorry if I want what is supposed to come in my pedicure package in which I'm paying for then I should receive the owner ran past my station and told me during the service that I don't need the foot scrub but it's what I'm paying for . This place is by far the best pedicure for the price they charge. Usually they have a special of some sort and when they don't it's only $35. The sugar scrub is so exfoliating and they give great massages. I have fussy in growns constantly and they're so gentle about getting them out. They opi selection is awesome too. This place was okay. There is one gentleman (I want to say he's the owner) isn't the friendliest and a little creepy. But everyone else is very nice! Katherine is the best! I wasn't thrilled about their mani/pedis. I'm I love getting a candle wax pedi but they don't do it here. I found that odd since everyone around them does it. They made my gel nail mani super thick. When I walked in there was no one there, which I thought maybe it's not busy time, it was almost 5:00.... I had a gel set of nails taken off and OMG I have never been in so much pain!!!!! She actually was prying the nails of with another fake nail! She actually ripped and cracked my real nail all the way down the nail bed! Did she apologize, No!!!!!! She put glue on it!!!!! Glue!!!! I have had fake gel nails removed before and they used a drummel, never have my nails been pryed off! Nails were flying all over hitting me and the floor! She told me the price then waited for me to tip her before she started painting them! Again, no thank you! Why the hell did I even do 20%!!!!!! When she was done she walked me over to the dryer still said nothing then walked into the back to go back on her phone! I actually went to BT nails about two weeks ago, while I got my nails done everything went fine, good customer service, I liked my nails. After one week went by most of my nails had fallen off and I noticed two of my nails were a different color. I ended up going to the doctor because after a week my nails were still a yellow brown under my nail, I ended up getting a fungus. I will never go back to this place again. read more

Quite honestly my favorite nail salon in town. The staff is consistently friendly and outgoing. I've never had to wait longer than 10 minutes. The outcome is almost always exceptional. There was one case of my sister getting a color she did not want, even though she said no, her technician insisted. This was for her bridal shower. The staff member really pushed her and my sister was in no way a Bridezilla so she just let the technician do it. Had I overheard, I would've stepped in. That's why I took one star away. read more

So the reason I decided to give this place a try was due to the reviews on here, so figured I'd give it a try. Bad idea. The only think going for them was that the Bears game was on. I was taken right away, obv a plus. The lady that did my pedicure was great, sweet lady. Great leg and foot massage. However, there was another manicurist that was so incredibly loud, she made conversation with the person she was working with, but so so dang loud. I go to get my nails done to relax, not to chat it up, that might just be me. The constant banter back forth between the other clients and the loud nail tech almost made my ears bleed, because, did I mention she was loud? Once I was done with my pedicure, the sweet lady brought me to a different person to do my fingernails. She was quiet, perfect! However, the guy sitting next to me painting fake nails decided he wanted to play Phil Collins. Great, so that was a solid half hour, again, almost making my ears bleed. Once the loud nail tech was done with her clients she decided to come and sit next to the lady doing my nails and eat her snack while, again, talking super loud with the guy next to me. They were laughing like crazy, which is cool. I need to have fun at work, too, but not when it's in someone else's ear. I already had a no chip on my finger nails,so when I've gone to other salons they prep my nails while I'm getting my pedicure so I don't have to do what I did here,which was sit for 20 mins, listening to Phil Collins while the acetone did it's magic. Then my lady started to pick at my nails with her fingers nails instead of using the tool to take off the polish. I was not happy about this. Once the manicure actually started to get going, I had freezing cold water to dip my hands in, so I didn't leave them in there as long as I probably should have. My lady actually put my hand back in the water and I told her that the water was cold, no apology. Ok, cool. All while this is going on the conversation between the guy next to me and the loud lady was getting more and more out of control, I was seriously ready to get up and leave. Luckily two ladies came in for pedicures taking away the loud lady. The guy left as well, and came back around 15 mins later, rolled his chair close to mine so he could take a look at my nails or something, he smelled so badly of cigarette smoke.
