If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I worked for Bolt security for a while and there has…read morebeen nothing but shady behavior from both Diana the president and the lead supervisor named Paul. I was lied to as to where I was going to be conducting the patrols 'at a school district' there was no security office or surveillance cameras and they placed the guards by themselves. I was paid what was agreed and though my payments were causally late; on the last month that I had worked for Bolt they refused at first to give me my last 2 paychecks. On one occasion I watched a drive-by happen that was half a block from me when I was opening up one of the gates for one of the schools and realizing I literally had no backup I decided that that was the last straw with this job. The other guards I worked with showed up whenever they wanted, only 1 guard I worked with was legit. they left whenever they wanted so I never had backup, I never knew when the supervisor was on shift because no emails were ever sent out, and when there was an incident involving a drunk driver the lead sup Paul and Diana threw me and the other guards under the bus to cover themselves. This is a super shady company and for other guards that I know looking for work, I told them to never apply for this job, and stay away from Bolt Security. 2 guards in the same weekend I worked were murdered while I was on shift in the same district. Bolt Security is currently in a lawsuit. Both Paul and Diana have been rude and incredibly unprofessional. I had to call many times over 2 weeks to see when I would be getting my last 2 checks being but they refused to give them out at first. The last time I called the Scottsdale office I asked politely when my last full check was coming and some guy who picked up hung up on me. I ended up getting the check in the mail in full. The security cars were always dirty and had disgusting smells, they demanded 20-hour coverage yet refused to pick up the phone to send someone out to give the guards gas so we could do our patrols, they blamed the guards for 'not doing enough patrols' when it was all lies. The only other company in security that I can think of that was almost as bad as Bolt is Securitas. Don't expect anything to happen from management safety-wise if someone shows up with a gun at one of the schools you are patrolling. I cannot state how much of a bad idea it is if you apply for Bolt security and take a job from them

Was asked by site client and the traveling lead three months ahead to attend an event at the end of…read moreschool year (graduation), and naturally I accepted. Day before event, I was called by Paul and was yelled at for trying to do things by the client method. Accused of working for the site like I understand that I work for bolt but traveling to and from work costed a lot of gas at the time, and for the event, I would've gone with the crew there and met up with the officer in charge at the event. Speaking of, why did I sign up for the event three months before with the OIC to be on the list for it, only to be not on it and go through Paul to be on the list? What was the point of lead asking me then. The site itself, I didn't like the location cause of the conditions. Stuck in a shed where there's barely any shade let alone being able to do the job. Bunch of wrong way drivers and not giving any consideration to others. I honestly think this company is really disorganized and I really hope that the owner and her office staff reads the reviews. Hoping they'll consider fixing their ways and understand that it's not entirely about them but about how they manage their team. How are you going to assign a job to someone that you hired, and then yell at them for reaching out for questions? Let alone letting them speak while on the phone. More of a one way street rather than a cooperative friendly company that is represented.

Blocking phone calls , no general communication about lack of pay and not responding to employees questions regarding their pay is the MOST unprofessional thing I have every experienced. KNOX HOME SECURITY - An Extremely Welcome Wake-up Call…read more For more than twenty years, we faithfully paid our monthly fees to "Brand X" security. I won't mention the name, but I believe it is the largest in the nation. Service levels steadily declined, but they made up for it by steadily increasing their prices. After reaching the breaking point, I looked for alternatives. I found Knox Security headquartered in Scottsdale, but with nationwide connections. Here's what I learned. The hardware is better by far than that of "Brand X". The service is vastly superior to that of "Brand X". I actually dealt with human beings who were responsive, professional, and friendly. Best of all, I now pay less than half per month as I did with "Brand X". Had I made the move two years earlier, I'd have an additional thousand dollars in my pocket. I should have made "Brand X" into "Brand Ex" long ago. I've now had Knox on board for a month. It works great. It's easy to use. It looks great. And my monthly cost is less than half what it was.

I spoke with the owner Dave who asked me some clarifying questions about my issues. It was determined that I needed $100 worth of batteries to be changed. I told him that was okay I would just disconnect my system and proceeded to ask if he could help walk me through it. Dave kindly asked me why I would not have a security system (reminding me I had told him I did have a 12 yr old daughter who is at times alone). He immediately jumped in and said actually he would pay for the battery replacement and not charge me. He was so passionate about the peace of mind behind having our system operable! Not only that Dave made sure one of his team members changed all of our batteries on the very same day of my call. Unbelievable customer service! When I told my daughter the story that evening she was so touched that somebody cared so much about HER safety. She called her grandparents and told them the story! I can't say enough about how one act of kindness spread to so many people. I will be telling everybody I know about ICU Security, the company who is truly passionate about making our homes safe for our families. Thank you so much Dave and ICU for your top notch service and care!
