Loved the rustic style cabin. Furniture is all made out of logs. Everything seemed brand new. Clean bathroom. Small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Chairs out front to watch the world go by. Really cute, clean cabins with comfy bed and mini stove and fridge with table and chairs. Back porch has chairs and a Weber grille. There's a fire pit. Had a friendly check in. They're only there at the front desk for several hours for check in so check out is just putting keys in a box. No food there but there's a little vending area. Food store and restaurant just down the block. The one major negative? The wifi is basically non existent and, typical of the crappy ATT coverage, there's no real ATT coverage there. So that made the planning of the next days hike at Bryce a little fun. And it's only about a 15 min drive from Bryce but this town was so quiet and peaceful, it was definitely the choice for us. The really cool thing is you're right on an alfalfa field and the next morning while we ate breakfast on the deck we got a friendly hi from the farmer and his dog tending the fields. I stayed in a cabin here and it was clean, homey, and convenient. The price was also very reasonable. The owners are quite nice and very accommodating. The interior is country/rustic but with comfortable beds, heating/AC, a fridge, microwave, wifi, and clean bathroom. You can also fill up on ice if needed at their main building. The cabins are about a 15 minute drive to Bryce or the red canyons. The town of Tropic itself is not super exciting, but there is a Clark's store which sells most of what you would need. There are a few restaurants in town, though we did not try them and instead opted to get grill right outside our cabins on the provided BBQ grills. Overall, this is a great option for staying right outside Bryce Canyon! read more

WORST HOSPITALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. We got the family cabin with 3 beds and it was plenty of room for all of us. Store, gas and a couple places to eat right across the street. All of it was fine except for the service. We stayed 3 nights and was never asked if we needed anything throughout our stay. We had to ask for extra trash bags (thin, crappy and easily ripped) which wasn't a huge deal but when we asked where we should throw out our waste, their reply was "just leave it out by your porch or come take it behind the lobby." There was no dumpster behind the lobby. We left it out by the porch and no one came to pick it up. Some cats dug around and we had to clean it up and find a dumpster down the street to toss it out. Nobody in the front desk was ever present. They have a ring doorbell and a phone number to call just in case no one was there and they never answer. Last and most important! Be on a look out because they charged us $115 after checking out due to "extra cleaning". They said the kitchen was filthy, sand in the front and back doors and dishwasher filled with dirty plates. You guys are running a cabin where it's all outdoor activity going on so yeah, there might be a little sand in the entry ways. We cooked for 3 nights and cleaned up and each night and ever running the dishes through the wash but yeah the kitchen might not be spotless. No hand soap, no extra paper towels, toilet paper, real trash bags etc were provided. You have a cleaning crew for these things especially during COVID-19 to ensure the cabins have been sanitized before the next family comes. So you should be responsible for a sweep, vacuum and scrub down, not the guests who are PAYING. CABIN 14: Beds were 3/10 at best, jets on bath tub don't work, swing set was rusty and broken and they won't even entertain you asking for a later check out. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. A place like this you would hope to count on repeat guests instead of scamming them on the way out. Or maybe it was because the color of our skin? Either way, stay here at your own risk but I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU ENJOY A STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Bryce Canyon National Park. The cabins were very nice, appeared almost brand new. The rooms include free wifi, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and ice bucket and hair dryer. There is also a cute wooden tacks with two chairs to sit and eat at. Out back behind the cabin there is a wooden swing and a BBQ pit where you can cook for yourself if you bring charcoal. A flat screen TV is mounted to the wall in front of the bed. The beds were extremely comfortable. The cabin was so cutely decorated and so conveniently located to Bryce Canyon (about 10 miles away) if we ever come back we would stay here again. I had a fantastic experience staying at Bryce Country Cabins, which is just a short drive from Bryce Canyon National Park. I stayed in a Deluxe Cabin (1 King Bed), which was very spacious and homey. Cabin included a nice bed and large couch, fridge, and kitchen table. Water pressure was very good in the shower. Also has a porch with a serene view of the mountains. We had a feeling they would charge us extra for anything out of place (it's $50 for ANY dish you leave in the sink) so we bought our own cleaning supplies and scrubbed the stove. Leaving it better than we found it. After checking out, we were charged an extra $50 for a dirty towel - the owner said she should have charged us $200...for a towel. We pulled up here in the middle of the night because we couldn't get in touch with anyone at the hotel down the street where we thought we had a reservation. Even though it was the middle of the night and she wasn't expecting anyone, she got us into a cabin quickly. Cabins were nice, and very comfortable. The bed was more comfortable than many hotel beds I've slept in. The lady behind the front desk was friendly and helpful, and it was no problem to extend our stay another night when we asked to do so. Two beds, bathroom, little table in the room, several easily accessible electrical outlets, free wi-fi. All in all, my only complaint is that there's really nothing here, and that the only restaurant in town is only open from 12-8. But this is hardly the hotel's fault. If you're planning on visiting Bryce Canyon and you don't want to deal with tents and the full camping experience, look no further and STAY HERE. The staff was so friendly; although they state the check-in period ends around 8pm, the staff lives close by and is very accommodating. They are so down to earth and let us know where to return the keys (no formal check-out process) and even pointed out free ice around the corner for guests. We got to our cabin (#8 Deluxe Log Cabin) late at night, and there was no vacancy. This was glamping at its finest. It came with a king size bed, a pull-out bed, a kitchenette that also had plates, flatware, pots/pans, cutting board, utensils, bowls, paper towels, S&P shaker, cable, wifi. There were just so many amenities and the decor all matched one another. The best part about the cabins was the backyard view. We woke up close to sunrise the next morning and was able to get a glimpse of the vast green pastures behind us and cattle/horse. It was gorgeous. It was also very decently priced; about $157 for a cabin and it fit 4 people very comfortably. We got lucky and was able to book the last cabin available for the day we wanted it, so I suggest looking it up early and booking the cabin as soon as you know your trip itinerary! read more

This accommodation was pretty good for something that you would find in the outer part of Bryce National Park. They have a really nice backyard setup with a fire place and swings. The kitchen is not a huge kitchen, even though that's how they advertise it. It's a small kitchen with utensils provided. Within a mile radius, you will find a market to buy groceries. Only flaws I saw was there isn't enough lighting in the cabin and there isn't any chance to get a late checkout, they are very strict. It's a very nice backyard view! read more

Had to cancel last minute due to a member of our party having a heart attack the morning of our arrival and contacted them with no reply. I understand they don't typically refund but a response would have been appreciated or maybe offer a discount on a future stay. We've stayed here only for a night and I can only say that the place is not that bad but not really good too, spacious because we have the connecting rooms meaning to say we have the whole cabin for our family, but if not, the room is small. I'm not sure if they maintained their AC because our rooms' AC is making a sound very early in the morning as if it's gonna blow. Nobody in the office in the morning, and they only come around 3pm which is the check-in time, so if there's an issue in the morning, you'll have to wait but for us, we just drop the key & leave. Their WiFi is so slow too that's why for their rates, it's too pricey for me. I guess maybe because they're just the only cabins in this side of Bryce Canyon, I'd rather find hotels next time but if you want the experience, I won't let you hinder your decisions, just go for it. Terrible customer service. I had to cancel my travel plans because a loved one is having surgery. I was going to run a half marathon in Bryce Canyon during the planned travel time, but obviously had to cancel. When I cancelled (a month in advance) the place still charged me 30% of the entire travel charge, which turned out to be nearly $200. Despite the bad reviews, we gave this place a chance. It was WONDERFUL!!! We are traveling to all of the UT national parks with our 3.5 year old and 16 month old. The cabin was roomy, immaculate and comfy. The full kitchen was a huge help, and the in-cabin washer/dryer was a big bonus! There were no signs about extra charges for leaving anything dirty. There was the normal warning on the receipt I had to sign about extra cleaning fees, no smoking/pets/etc. our children loved the variety of play places, as well as the farm animals in site. We stayed here at the end of September during a visit to Bryce Canyon NP. After reading a nice review in a guidebook, we looked online and the cabins looked charming. The owners were friendly when making reservations and checking in and you feel more like family. The cabins were actually larger than we expected. The furniture is all lodge inspired so it just added to the ambiance. Ours had two beds, a table with chairs, refrigerator and coffee station. It was nice having the sink outside the bathroom. This room actually had everything we needed. The place was absolutely spotless. (It was actually cleaner than a higher end place we stayed. ) The ride to and from Bryce was about 15-20 minutes. We too enjoyed the non-circus, non-charter bus feel that this place had as opposed to some right outside Bryce. While we did not take advantage, there were grills to cook out and a great looking fire-pit. The only sounds we did hear were in the morning as a rooster told us to get a move on. We definitely will return again when visiting Bryce area. read more

We arrived in the afternoon, the service at check in was great and friendly. Gave us plenty of info about the area and local national park. It is conveniently located close to Bryce Canyon National Park's entrance. We stayed in cabin #4, which was a room with two queen beds, a microwave, fridge, flat screen tv, coffee maker and was absolutely IMMACULATE. Everything was so clean and in place.. Also the air conditioning worked great (we stayed in the summer). We left behind a very special stuffed animal. Let me start from the beginning. And I will let your current and future customers decide if you did the right thing or not. Me and my disabled party member, who had a service animal booked a cottage/villa. Bryce Country Cabins denied us a stay stating the following: they have no pet friendly rooms left. And the one we booked was only for hyper allergenic people. Clearly, none of these arguments are valid to throw someone out of a hotel room and deny them service. But at the time, the owner of the hotel (Wendy) clearly had her own mindset. And as she offered us a full refund if we would leave, and therefore we left as we did not feel welcome. Long story short, the hotel never intended on giving us a refund. They cancelled our room for us and took our money. And best of all, made us leave under false promises as they knew they would just refuse the refund once we are no longer there. (if you look at the hotel reviews, they have done this several times before with customers) The best part of this story is that the owner, refuses to take calls and screams on the phone and hangs up when you try to call. I have not once spoken to her since I left the property and try and hash this out. And she refuses to return a single call. Just to not have to refund a $100 bill. You guys are shameful. read more

it's a scam! Prior booking, we called Bryce Country Cabins on the same afternoon that we are heading to Bryce Canyon to confirm if they would accept a late check-in since we will be arriving by 2am and also if we can check-out by 2pm. Initially, the receptionist told us that they don't have that option. We asked if we can speak to someone like a manager or owner just to check if maybe they can consider occasionally. The receptionist handed the call to a woman which gave us a confirmation that they can accommodate our request. Once we got the confirmation, we went ahead and book our cabin. We arrived at about 2:30am, an old man (looks like the owner) met us in the lobby to check us in. We mentioned that we will be checking-out by 2pm as we have discussed prior booking. That's where we figured that we got scammed as they are denying that we have agreed to checkout at 2pm. They even called us a liar and threatened us that they will call a police if we don't checkout on time. Worst experience ever! These rude, inconsiderate, opportunist people does not deserved even one star. With regards to the cabin, it's fairly a good size. It was clean and the kitchen is a plus. However, the shower space is so small where you can barely fit in. I will highly NOT recommend this place to anyone! read more

Very satisfied with Country Cabins. It was the middle of October and our lodging plans had fallen through. When driving through Tropic, I pulled into country cabins with no reservation and got a beautiful cabin. Everything wasn't perfect, but I don't sweat the small stuff. And it was only small stuff. We stayed here for one night over Labor Day weekend. The owner was very nice, oriented us to the options available in town and what time to leave for sunrise at Bryce. We really enjoyed our dinner at the Pizza Place. The location is very convenient to Bryce, while still being quiet and relaxing. The deluxe cabin was very nice. Clean, comfortable and cozy. The outdoor decor added a fun element to our tour of the parks. If we have an opportunity to pass through Southern Utah again, I would definitely stay here again. read more

THE STAFF!!! Watch out!! Do not stay here. They charged us extra and didn't even provide an itemized receipt. Upon arrival we had cooked and used their pan and stove top and the pan must've already had some thing off because it completely stained the top of the stove. Out of all of my 15 plus years of cooking professionally, I've never stained a stove top simply cooking breakfast. I even called and told them about what it happened and they were absolutely no help. I went out of my way myself and purchased cleaning supplies and was luckily able to clean it up but needed to use the rag in the kitchen to get the stains off of the stove top from their dirty pan that they provided for us. They went around and blamed us for destroying the pan and the dish towel which is absolutely ridiculous and charge $56 without even letting me know or sending me an itemized receipt. We left that place very clean and went out of our way spending two hours in the morning to clean it because they have a bunch of silly rules like leaving all of the laundry in the laundry room and you get charged 50 bucks for leaving a dirty dish!!!! You're on vacation LOL you shouldn't have to be cleaning up an entire house when you are already paying extra for cleaning. DONT STAY HERE! Rip off! I wish I read the reviews before I stayed here. Horrible costumer service. Camping in the snow would have been less of a hassle to deal with. read more

Highly recommend getting the Deluxe king log cabins if you plan on staying for more than a couple nights. Kitchen stocked with necessary utensils, a mini fridge, stove top, BBQ and microwave makes cooking for yourself very easy. Grocery store is close by and does have a few gluten free bread items. Wifi is kinda slow and intermittent, got usable 4g on the back porch. Bryce Canyon, Zion and Escalante canyons within easy driving distance. Nice comfy bed and flat screen tv with cable. Poor beer selection at grocery stores. Any other alcohol must be purchased in lobby of Rudys hotel at entrance to Bryce Canyon. All shops and restaurants shut down at 9pm. Pretty good cabin. The bed was hard/old and both of us did not sleep well. Very nice staff, clean, big bathroom, shared wall with neighbor (easy to hear), microwave, fridge, heating/cooling unit, cable tv. It was 15 min or less to Bryce.
