Bryce Valley Lodging is conveniently located about 20 min away from Bryce National Park, with a small shopping plaza across the street which features restaurants and a convenient store. We chose Bryce Valley Lodging primarily because of the price, and also the privacy of having your own cabin. The cabin doesn't have a whole lot of features/amenities inside, but it has all your necessities like a bed, a seating area, microwave, mini fridge, and a cozy bathroom with a standing shower (I mean... What else do you really need). The cabin was clean, well-kept. Bedding and towels were freshly laundered as well. You also get this nice piney/Woody smell inside that just enhances your whole cabin experience. We only stayed one night but our experience was extremely pleasant, and we would definitely come back for our next visit.

A wonderful little escape from the world during my stay in Tropic and just about a 10-15min drive to Bryce Canyon. ~Reservation~ I booked online through a third party website and when I arrived, my keys were ready for me. I did not have any troubles with my reservation. ~Cabin~ Parking is easy as you just pull up next to your assigned unit. When I entered, my cabin was clean, neat and ready for my stay. Loved the wooden interior, was on par with the theme of being among the mountains. -- Amenities: they provide toiletries and towels as well as a microwave and fridge which proved to be very useful during my stay. There is also a coffeemaker with styrofoam cups provided however there were no filters or coffee beans so I was unable to use it. There is an AC unit that allows for heating as well, ceiling fan, hairdryer, a Roku TV with cable and apps like Netflix that you can sign into. There is also wifi provided which was a bit of an issue for me on my phone however it was okay on my laptop. Bathrooms were clean and there was hot water for showers which is a must for me. --Room: I had the King bed which was comfortable and there was also a small desk with chairs that I used to for eating and working on. ~Area~ The surrounding area is quaint and quiet. There are other lodging properties nearby. Theres a general store right across the street as well as a gas station. Two big things for me was a great coffee shop and a delicious bbq place all within walking distance. Overall, I would definitely come here again as it was the perfect place to stay while hiking in Bryce and I am very glad to have found it! I recommend this to anyone looking for a getaway to Bryce Canyon.

Surprise surprise surprise. You won't expect such an awesome amenities as per the price. Nicely built with well themed interior. Enough body heating blowers with microwave fridge and toiletries. Lot of towels. They have internet connection but issues in speed and connections. Must recommended while visiting Bryce Canyon.

Doesn't look like much but is SO adorable inside. I was very pleasantly surprised. The beds were super comfortable and the room was very clean. My only complaints would be that the tv remote doesn't really work. Not a big deal as we were hiking mostly. Second, the toilet was not secure and would shift every time we sat down, making a loud thump. ‍

Perfect for two hikers wanting a full immersion experience at an affordable price. The cabin was very cozy and had all of the necessities, but nothing fancy - shower, sink outside the bathroom, coffee pot with coffee, hair dryer, tv and wifi. Perfect location that puts you right across the street from the only grocery store and coffee shop, but you also get a fantastic view from your little balcony. I also liked this place for the location in proximity to Bryce Canyon Park. You are far enough away from tourists, but only about 15 min away from the park entrance. You are also near some other great hikes, outside the park.

Great find! Traveling to a popular spot on Labor Day weekend can mean doom when it comes to finding suitable lodging, but we got lucky! I found the place by chance and as it turns out that they have recently relocated and are expanding. We got one of the new cabins and it was very close to perfect. The place is less than ten miles from Bryce and close to restaurants, grocery stores and gas. We loved our stay here.

Wow what a steal. My sister and I have been on a two week road trip through all of the national parks. We had reorganized part of our trip so we canceled our hotel in Zion and found this place on booking.com. We weren't sure what to expect especially when we called to let them know we would be in late. Their voice mail didn't say the name of their business so I wasn't sure if I had the right number. I left a message anyway and they called back within minutes. He advised me that they didn't have a sign yet but that they were across the street from Clarke's. When we got here I realized they had literally just opened. The people running the place are a sweet young couple with a baby. The cabins had all clearly just been built and are so charming! The cabin we were in (cabin 3) had two queen beds and plenty of room for a pack and play or portable crib. The cabin was extremely spacious. The beds had these beautiful quilts and cozy fuzzy blankets. The room had a coffee pot with Folgers. It also came equipped with a fridge and microwave. The beds were super comfortable and the temperature was easy to control. The furniture was clearly just made and was cute. We fell in love with this charming place and will definitely stay here again.

I want to start with a genuine thank you -- when my daughter realized she had left her beloved…read morestuffed bunny behind, the staff helped locate it and were told mailed it back to us...That kindness meant the world to our family, and I don't want it to go unacknowledged. That said, I have an obligation to be honest, especially for other parents traveling with very young children. We booked this property with two kids under 3 years old. Safety isn't optional at that age -- it's everything. What we found were two issues I cannot stay silent about: No working smoke detectors. The smoke detectors throughout the property had no sensor units -- just empty mounting brackets on the ceiling. Not malfunctioning. Not beeping. Simply absent. Traveling with toddlers and having zero fire detection in the home is not something I can minimize. I have photos. This is a life-safety issue and likely a code violation. A deteriorating outdoor deck. The deck showed significant structural wear -- peeling surfaces, weathered and unstable balusters, and exposed nails/slates. With two children under 3 who are at exactly the age of touching, falling, and exploring everything, we did not feel safe letting them near it. Cleanliness -- a pattern, not a one-off. Other reviewers have flagged this too, and we experienced it firsthand. The oven was dirty on arrival. The BBQ grill was coated in old bacon grease from a previous guest -- who had actually left a handwritten note saying "sorry" about the state they left it in. That note tells you everything: even the last guest knew it wasn't acceptable. We also found dead bugs in the trash. These aren't dealbreakers on their own, but combined with the safety issues above, it paints a picture of a property that isn't being properly maintained or turned over between guests. I raised these issues with management and provided documentation. The response was a $90 credit with no explanation, and a brief reply that the issues were "being addressed." No acknowledgment of the severity. No real accountability. If you're traveling without children, your calculus may be different. But if you're booking with little ones, please factor this in. We tried to resolve it privately and in good faith -- I'm sharing this so you can make an informed decision. Don't stay here.

Before we…read moreeven got there, they emailed us directions, in anticipation that we wouldn't know where we were going. I appreciated the forethought. We drove up late Friday night and arrived around 11pm. The staff were gone, but we called ahead/wrote a note ahead of time, and they made accommodations for us to pick up our key. Checking in was as low drama as it gets. These examples made me feel that the level of service is good, even though we didn't interact with anyone. Sometimes it's the non verbal things that make a difference. Our treehouse was super cute. The living quarters were elevated and the lower level/floor level is an area where you can sit, have a bonfire, bbq using their grill, etc. Overall, it was in good condition. Just minor things like our screen door didn't really line up when closed. It seemed to be clean in areas that are often overlooked, but the shower had a lot of random stray hairs that were not mine. Also the water pressure is low. I'm not sure if that's by design or not... The room's features are pretty standard: Mini fridge, kitchen sink, small closet, king bed and a loft with two twins. The property is located just on the other side of Bryce Canyon. You can see the colorful canyon-top from the tree house. It's a very convenient 20 minute drive from the park entrance. It's remote and very quiet. It was truly beautiful and serene. There is a wash nearby that filled up due to some rain, but the next day it dried out. The wash does not affect access to the road or hotel, fortunately. There is a restaurant on site. It's decent. It's pricy. Service is on par with a higher end restaurant in the city, but the food flavors were slightly above average. Not sure if I'd go back to the restaurant. There's a town down the street that also has food and a store.

There is one elevator. Pay attention to the receptionist when they tell you the floor. Our room was 3461, and he said the 4th floor which seemed like a mistake until we got out on the 3rd floor and could not find our room. The second digit refers to the floor number. The first number refers to the building. Room was clean, comfortable, spacious and the bathroom vanity was long. There was an inexpensive Keurig machine. I successfully made my coffee, but my husband couldn't get the machine to turn on again even with wife help. Microwave in the room. Our mini-fridge was warm and fiddling with the temperature control didn't seem to start it up. I put those comments on my Best Western survey and the general manager responded and thanked me and said the problems would be addressed. The pool and hot tub are located in the center of the buildings, so it can be more shaded there in the afternoon. The location was perfect for visiting Bryce Canyon. We could drive to the park in 10 to 20 minutes, which made it easy to catch sunrise, sunset, and stargazing while still having a comfortable place to come back to. Breakfast was great! The crib they provided us did not meet safe sleep guidelines. The mattress was too small for the crib, and it left a large 2 inch gap. Luckily my baby is older (13 months), so SIDS or suffocation is not as much of a concern anymore. But it is something to keep in mind. My biggest concern happened on our second night. We came back after sunset and stargazing, around 10:30pm. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. My baby was fussy while we were working through our bedtime routine. Just as he was finally drifting off, the front desk called and woke him right back up to tell me they'd gotten noise complaints and that we needed to be quiet during night hours. The woman rudely said "Quiet hours start at 10pm why aren't you being quiet?!" She treated us like belligerent partiers instead of a family with two small kids. When I explained that we have two babies and were doing our best, she still wasn't professional or empathetic about it at all. It honestly gave me a lot of anxiety because I was scared we would get kicked out for my baby crying whenever he made any noise. The hotel was not full, so maybe a room change to a more remote part of the hotel would have been appropriate. I have traveled with my kids many times before and never experienced something like that. There were many elderly guests staying around us, so maybe that contributed to the problem. Still, handling the issue with a little more understanding and grace would've gone a long way for me. Housekeeping could use a little work as well. I don't think they vaccuumed the floors our entire stay. With two little kids, there were some crumbs on the floor. By the time we left it was getting pretty bad and I didn't like my baby being on the floor because it was dirty. Overall the location is great and the rooms are nice, but management should think hard about how front desk staff are trained to handle situations involving families. I'd think twice before booking here again.

I was in cabin 10 and the door sticks and I couldn't get in with the passcode that they sent me in my email. I ended up having to call and then somebody came in an ATV. I waited less than five minutes. It was really quick. He came by and he opened the door for me. I tried it. It worked. I was skeptical. He did mention how a few guests before me also had issues with a lock, so it definitely is something that should have been fixed since it was a known issue. I went to dinner and I was lucky. The guy just happened to be at the cabins because there's not normally somebody on site but it's very easy to get someone to come to you if you need help and he had to let me in again because the door was sticking. I had decided I better not leave the cabin anymore or sit outside like I wanted to because I didn't know if I would be able to get the door open. It was exceptionally clean. It had a very nice layout. The bathroom smelled so good. I actually didn't take a shower there or anything. So I can't comment on that. I feel like the counter in the bathroom needs more support. It's definitely coming away from the sink and it adds a cheapness to the cabin. I will say, though that the runs on the chairs need to be dusted and there's a lot of dust settling on the logs on the walls so there does need to be some dusting done, and there was a huge cobweb that was hanging from the ceiling in the bathroom, it was very obvious to me so I'm not sure how that was overlooked. I was warned by someone else that there were scorpions in traffic. I brought a black light and scorpion killer with me and I checked the cabin and there was nothing in there with the black light scorpions. Do show up with black lights.... It seems pretty insulated, but I could see some light coming through some of the slats in the doors so I just wanted to be careful. It was a great experience and I would recommend these to anyone however, be very careful because these cabins are set back behind two other motels that have log cabins as well. And these are very nice compared to the first ones I went to and the properties all have very similar names. So just watch for that.

The plunger knob was not attached to the drain. All in all it was a lovely stay and within walking distance to restaurants. I enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening. Originally we tried to book the Lodge through the national park reservations system, but put this and a couple others as backups. Being that we only booked our trip about 3 weeks in advance, we got lucky with this place. We were a little tentative because of the reviews (thin walls, etc), but when we got here we were pleasantly satisfied. Has a very Campy feel to it; from the hexagon bench swing setup, to the mini bridges, the volleyball court, and the giant chess setup, it looks like a place we could stay a few days and just hang out without even going anywhere really. But I digress...we rather enjoyed our stay. There is a restaurant in the middle of the property where we had dinner one night. (Note, it can get pretty packed cuz looks like everyone eats there, esp with the live music going on, it's a good time). Check-in was easy, and even though the place is an old school cabin/lodge, they have new electronic keyfobs to get in and out of your room. Just don't forget it because the doors will automatically lock on you. We had to get a spare from the front desk once during our stay. The room was small, as to be expected; not much common space, just enough for your beds, luggage (not too much) and other small items. We kept most stuff in the car (You can park directly in front your cabin, space willing. There are separated cabins as well, but we didn't book far enough in advance. But we def paid a lot less than we would have at the Lodge or another place closer to the park. But again, it's like 11 minutes out, so not a big deal. The shower is a little small, but we made it work. We were able to sleep well, and though you can hear things, it wasn't not too bad and everyone seemed to be pretty respectful of each other and didn't cause too much noise. I did feel bad because I loaded the car up late at night and our car was facing the cabins directly and the headlights from our rental shone directly into one of the rooms, but I quickly turned them off and apologies and they were okay with it and understood. They also have RV spots and a couple were there during our stay, so it seemed fine for them as well.
