We drove up late Friday night and arrived around 11pm. The staff were gone, but we called ahead/wrote a note ahead of time, and they made accommodations for us to pick up our key. Checking in was as low drama as it gets. These examples made me feel that the level of service is good, even though we didn't interact with anyone. Sometimes it's the non verbal things that make a difference. Our treehouse was super cute. The living quarters were elevated and the lower level/floor level is an area where you can sit, have a bonfire, bbq using their grill, etc. Overall, it was in good condition. Just minor things like our screen door didn't really line up when closed. It seemed to be clean in areas that are often overlooked, but the shower had a lot of random stray hairs that were not mine. Also the water pressure is low. I'm not sure if that's by design or not... The room's features are pretty standard: Mini fridge, kitchen sink, small closet, king bed and a loft with two twins. The property is located just on the other side of Bryce Canyon. You can see the colorful canyon-top from the tree house. It's a very convenient 20 minute drive from the park entrance. It's remote and very quiet. It was truly beautiful and serene. There is a wash nearby that filled up due to some rain, but the next day it dried out. The wash does not affect access to the road or hotel, fortunately. There is a restaurant on site. It's decent. It's pricy. Service is on par with a higher end restaurant in the city, but the food flavors were slightly above average. Not sure if I'd go back to the restaurant. There's a town down the street that also has food and a store.

The lobby has a super tall ceiling and a lodge-like feel, really fancy and modern. Plenty of parking. The breakfast included breakfast with a big buffet of scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with ham, pancakes, cereal, sausage, bacon, fruit, tater tots, breakfast muffins and donuts had much more choices than the Best Western we stayed at in at Springdale for Zion National Park. There is one elevator. Pay attention to the receptionist when they tell you the floor. Our room was 3461, and he said the 4th floor which seemed like a mistake until we got out on the 3rd floor and could not find our room. The second digit refers to the floor number. The first number refers to the building. Room was clean, comfortable, spacious and the bathroom vanity was long. There was an inexpensive Keurig machine. I successfully made my coffee, but my husband couldn't get the machine to turn on again even with wife help. Microwave in the room. Our mini-fridge was warm and fiddling with the temperature control didn't seem to start it up. I put those comments on my Best Western survey and the general manager responded and thanked me and said the problems would be addressed. The pool and hot tub are located in the center of the buildings, so it can be more shaded there in the afternoon. The park shuttle does not stop at this hotel but Ruby's Inn about 7 - 10 minutes walking. We drove the 0.5 miles for dinner there - Cowboy's Buffet and Steak Room. We got there about 5:40 pm and by 6:30 pm, it looked like a 30-45 minute line. When they run out of the ribs, you might be stuck eating the buffet or other menu choices. The ribs were good!

I was in cabin 10 and the door sticks and I couldn't get in with the passcode that they sent me in my email. I ended up having to call and then somebody came in an ATV. I waited less than five minutes. It was really quick. He came by and he opened the door for me. I tried it. It worked. I was skeptical. He did mention how a few guests before me also had issues with a lock, so it definitely is something that should have been fixed since it was a known issue. I went to dinner and I was lucky. The guy just happened to be at the cabins because there's not normally somebody on site but it's very easy to get someone to come to you if you need help and he had to let me in again because the door was sticking. I had decided I better not leave the cabin anymore or sit outside like I wanted to because I didn't know if I would be able to get the door open. It was exceptionally clean. It had a very nice layout. The bathroom smelled so good. I actually didn't take a shower there or anything. So I can't comment on that. I feel like the counter in the bathroom needs more support. It's definitely coming away from the sink and it adds a cheapness to the cabin. I will say, though that the runs on the chairs need to be dusted and there's a lot of dust settling on the logs on the walls so there does need to be some dusting done, and there was a huge cobweb that was hanging from the ceiling in the bathroom, it was very obvious to me so I'm not sure how that was overlooked. I was warned by someone else that there were scorpions in traffic. I brought a black light and scorpion killer with me and I checked the cabin and there was nothing in there with the black light scorpions. Do show up with black lights.... It seems pretty insulated, but I could see some light coming through some of the slats in the doors so I just wanted to be careful. It was a great experience and I would recommend these to anyone however, be very careful because these cabins are set back behind two other motels that have log cabins as well. And these are very nice compared to the first ones I went to and the properties all have very similar names. So just watch for that.

(No staff on site). The cabins are in a line with a generous parking space across from the cabin facing a field with picnic table. Each cabin has a front porch with two chairs and small side table. The inside was attractive with two queen beds. It was clean and the decor was upscale rustic suitable for a log cabin. It was adequately supplied for my needs and included, WiFi, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The only minor glitch was the plunger on the sink didn't work well. The plunger knob was not attached to the drain. All in all it was a lovely stay and within walking distance to restaurants. I enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening. I could even hear roosters from the neighboring farm in the morning. I would highly recommend a stay at Bryce Canyon Log Cabins.

Originally we tried to book the Lodge through the national park reservations system, but put this and a couple others as backups. Being that we only booked our trip about 3 weeks in advance, we got lucky with this place. We were a little tentative because of the reviews (thin walls, etc), but when we got here we were pleasantly satisfied. Has a very Campy feel to it; from the hexagon bench swing setup, to the mini bridges, the volleyball court, and the giant chess setup, it looks like a place we could stay a few days and just hang out without even going anywhere really. But I digress...we rather enjoyed our stay. There is a restaurant in the middle of the property where we had dinner one night. (Note, it can get pretty packed cuz looks like everyone eats there, esp with the live music going on, it's a good time). Check-in was easy, and even though the place is an old school cabin/lodge, they have new electronic keyfobs to get in and out of your room. Just don't forget it because the doors will automatically lock on you. We had to get a spare from the front desk once during our stay. The room was small, as to be expected; not much common space, just enough for your beds, luggage (not too much) and other small items. We kept most stuff in the car (You can park directly in front your cabin, space willing. There are separated cabins as well, but we didn't book far enough in advance. But we def paid a lot less than we would have at the Lodge or another place closer to the park. But again, it's like 11 minutes out, so not a big deal. The shower is a little small, but we made it work. We were able to sleep well, and though you can hear things, it wasn't not too bad and everyone seemed to be pretty respectful of each other and didn't cause too much noise. I did feel bad because I loaded the car up late at night and our car was facing the cabins directly and the headlights from our rental shone directly into one of the rooms, but I quickly turned them off and apologies and they were okay with it and understood. They also have RV spots and a couple were there during our stay, so it seemed fine for them as well.

I can't speak for the other rooms but we had a room in the house in the back of the property. The door that joins the adjacent unit has a large clearance at the bottom of it. When we checked in we had no neighbors and I just thought I hope we don't get any. We also had to sign a no cooking in our room agreement which I thought was odd. At around 8:30 our neighbors arrived, and we were greeted with the stinkiest cooking that filled our unit due to the large gap in the door. They did not speak English so we contacted management and informed them that they were cooking in the room. There were no other rooms available so we were out of luck and they did nothing to stop them from cooking. Our room stunk the entire night and made us all feel nauseous. The pillow was like a bag of cotton balls, extremely uncomfortable. Bathroom smelled. There was an air-conditioning unit, but it wasn't enough to cool the large room which was extremely hot. The restaurant on the property is great and fun with live music, but I would never stay at this hotel again. I got maybe two hours of sleep.

Good - well priced, convenient location, front desk clerk was friendly and gave us a sack breakfast (since we would miss the actual breakfast due to leaving early). The rooms are basic but clean. Bad - I was double charged (the website I booked with charged me and the front desk clerk ran my card again). I didn't realize this until I checked my credit card statement two weeks later. I believe this was an honest mistake and this isn't the reason for the bad review. It's how it was handled filed later. I called the hotel at least 5 times to request a refund because 4 of the times no one picked up the phone and there was no answering machine. The lady told me to email the owner (the email is not published online), which I did and I included proof of the double charged. No action was taken even after I followed up via email. I had to do a credit card dispute which the hotel didn't respond to so my credit card company ended up refunding me. A lot of trouble and frustration to have to go through.

Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the tv issue.
