I was downtown Seal Beach with one of my kids yesterday, and we both decided to get some ice cream. I saw the prices and I thought it was about a dollar or so more than normal but it didn't matter, we wanted ice cream. My kid ordered the kids small cup and when they gave it to her, I thought they mistakenly gave her an adult large. Then when I ordered my small waffle cone the amount of ice cream they gave me blew my mind. It was absolutely enormous. Check my picture out, this was after eating it for 10 minutes. Look how much is still there! When we got our ice cream, the other people in line looked over at us and asked me is that an adult portion when they saw my daughter's kids small ice cream. To my reply: "No, that's a child's small!" I was even afraid to ask what the large cone looks like and I made a joke that I'd have to duck under the doorway to get my ice cream out of the shop. I then joked and looked up on the ceiling to see if there's any ice cream scrapings from the previous person's that ordered a large cone because it was so high. I highly recommend the place, it's worth the money, you won't be let down. The quality is excellent and they have many flavors. read more

Hardly any line on a weekend. Overall have always had pleasant experiences at Bruster's locations. This time I indulged in a icecream sundae and regret nothing. A little kid even gasped at my sundae saying she did not know they did that. Hope you get one lil kid! read more

Great place for ice cream especially on a hot summer days or sweet tooth cravings. Been here several times but most I had to wait for their break but within 5mins they returned. Good service and great choices. There are several benches outside and walkable to the pier. read more

Delicious ice cream but the servings were not as big here as the Huntington Beach Brusters. Sure this Seal Beach location has a lot going for it. Crowded beach, lots of tourists, big lines... The Huntington Beach location doesn't have the big lines, has zero ambiance but they do have bigger portions. Definitely will always say Yes to Brusters though! read more

The sea salt, toffee caramel ice cream was way too salty. It was so salty. I had couple spoonfuls and couldn't eat it. The rest of my family tried it and I said I was way too salty. I've had the same ice cream at a different location in Huntington Beach and thought it was very delicious, but whoever made this batch must have miss, measured the salt content. read more

My wife and I and our dog Marley were in seal beach yesterday for dinner at the hangout great restaurant after dinner we walked down main street Brewsters was on the right I wanted an ice cream but was way to full but I knew Marley my dog was up for 1 - she always is I asked the young dude behind the counter if I could Buy an ice cream for my dog for I was to full from dinner he replied I would Love to get Marley an ice cream but no charge for dogs I understand if I buy one we do it all the time but I didn't buy anything and he still gave me a free ice cream. What a great guy marley loved it on top of that he even gave me a coupon to come back I did give him a tip but I don't think he was even expecting that , just a kind generous dude. I've been wanting to try this place for years and I finally did. I got a kids scoop which was $6 (bruh) of the cold brew brownie flavor. the cold brew part was good but the brownies tasted weird, like pieces of soggy wheat bread. Couldn't taste the chocolate flavor. Both my and my friend's cake cones were stale, which just left an unpleasant taste in our mouths. Wouldn't recommend. read more

It was my first time trying Bruster's ice cream and I really enjoyed it! I ordered a small size with one scoop of banana cream pie and one scoop of black raspberry chocolate chunk. Both flavors were so tasty and creamy, and it was so nice being able to sample both before buying! The employee that worked there was super friendly and helpful when we were trying to decide on flavors too. I was also shocked at how large the portion was for a small size! Overall, I'd recommend this place for ice cream to anyone and I look forward to coming back read more

This was amazing! I was craving ice cream and saw people walking around with Brusters and knew I had to try it. The prices are a little steep, but it's by the beach so that's expected (it's also about the same as every other ice cream location in the area). The difference is that the flavors are freshly made every day, and they are all delicious. The serving size is also huge, the cone I got was the regular sized waffle cone with one scoop, and it was tough to finish alone. Share if you'd like, there's plenty :) The workers are kind and they're very fast, and the location is beautiful! read more

All the great ice cream establishments available here in Orange County I really do have to put Brusters at the top. There's another one that starts with an H that certainly comes very close but I like Brusters one on one cooking friendly customer service, and while they're selection, May seem limited at times, compared to some of their competitors, Usually if I can't get the flavor I want it because it's so popular that it's sold out not that they didn't make an effort to stock it. At the risk of it again finding my favorite Graham Central Station sold out. I will share it far away, my favorite, wonderfully ice cream perfect graham cracker taste. read more

A great location on the main drag of Seal Beach, this Bruster's has a fun variety of flavors to choose from. It's a walk-up ordering window with a tiny counter and a couple stools to the side. If you're lucky you might snag one of several benches on the block to sit and eat your ice cream if you don't feel like walking while eating. Or just walk down to the beach and sit in the sand. The young fellow scooping was very polite and friendly with the patience of a saint (as demonstrated by the craziness of the family full of hyper, indecisive kids in front of me). They have many unique flavors with odd names so don't be shy about asking what some flavors consist of. I ordered a cup with three scoops, each a different flavor: Death By Chocolate, Chocolate Chip, and Graham Central Station. I sat on a bench and enjoyed each creamy flavor, stacked on top of one another. Chocolate chip had huge chips, more like chunks than chips, within the vanilla ice cream. Death by Chocolate had a strong dark chocolate flavor with the same chips and also pieces of chocolate brownie. My favorite was Graham Central Station which really tasted like graham cracker with chunks of sweet graham cracker and yes, those same chocolate chip/chunks. You'll definitely satisfy your ice cream cravings here. read more

What a great little ice cream spot on the Seal Beach old town Main Street strip! It has such a classic old time, no frills feel offering a couple high stools at a bar & walk up windows where you order the ice cream. I brought my little guy with & he got his ice cream for free because he's shorter than the counter height - such a sweet concept . I need to tell you about the one-man army named Ian. I was there with the family on Saturday and there was an epic line out the door. There was high demand but the line was slow. Once we were able to look in we realized that there was only guy working on beautiful, sunny, warm Orange County Saturday! By the time we made it to the front we had nothing but empathy and respect for that worker because he was literally doing EVERYTHING on his own. Every other time I had been there it was 2-3 people but this guys was taking payment, giving samples, scooping, delivering, and all while giving customer service. Seriously, Ian killed it and all I can say, get more people on staff because it was rough on the line of people waiting for ice cream lol. Again, it was a beautiful, warm, sunny, SoCal day--people are going to want ice cream. If the weather app says it's going to be warm, staff more than one person. But if you have to pick one person in a pinch, Ian is your man. Just make sure you pay him double because he saved the reputation of the brand that day! Thanks again, Ian. I am not a big ice cream fan...but the pistachio ice cream here WAS fantastic. It was chock full of pistachios. I hadn't been there in a couple of years so jumped at the opportunity when we walked by. The top of the cup (small scoop?) had a pretty generous amount of pistachios. But once I got to the scoop below, it had NO pistachios in it. Plain green. This is awful and deceitful. I'm never going back. read more

Prices and portions were great here but the flavors weren't real strong or fresh tasting in my opinion. I'm glad we tried it though. I wouldn't get the blackberry chocolate chip again (or salted caramel) but would try a different flavor if I did. The location and convenience of this place where you can walk right up to the window and order was nice though. I took my family into Brusters's today and had an amazing experience! Such a nice location to have an ice cream shop! It was very busy today with many people in line, but the three kids working did an amazing job! The girl in a black shirt took my order while the other two were helping her get everything. The tall boy was very sweet and the other girl was very energetic given their situation! The flavor options were amazing and there was a wide variety!
