We were driving by and saw the drive thru empty. We ordered a strawberry shake, and Banana and strawberry shake. The service was friendly, easy, and fast. My strawberry shake was the best I ever had. It was super thick, and was packed with fresh strawberries pieces. I ordered a small and it was still too much for me. My BF ended up finishing it. He loved it as much as I did. He said that is what he is going to get next time. He did not like his banana and strawberry shake as much as he likes my order. I tasted it. It was good. It just wasn't fabulous like mine. He ordered a large and it tasted like just Banana, and was not as thick as mine, and no fruit pieces. The cost for both was around 20.00. A little pricey for us on a regular basis, but nice for a special treat. I love the place itself, and tried their seasonal hot apple in a pastry puff, with cold Vanilla ice cream. That was amazing as well. They have a drive through, and walk up window. Most people seem to prefer the walk up window. They have picnic tables, to eat at. Plenty of space. A great place for a date night, special occasion, or night out with the kids. They have homemade Ice cream and shakes, seasonal items, and ice creams they don't make too. It's nice to drive by and seeing flocks of people of all ages, enjoying this place. While it might be the priciest ice cream place in town, they are definitely the best, cleanest, and friendliest. My pictures are a bit lame, because we went through the drive through. But I will get pics of their ice cream next time. But I highly recommend them. OMG! I haven't even finished my review and we've already been back. Ordered the exact same shakes. We both ordered them extra thick. And Voila!!! His was just as tasty and filled as fruit as mine. We stopped by Bruster's Real Ice Cream on a whim and ended up so glad we did! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious and the service made it even better. We got a waffle cone with strawberry, vanilla, and Southern banana pudding--a dreamy combo of fruity, creamy goodness. The banana pudding flavor? Total standout. Tastes like summer in a scoop. We also had a waffle bowl with mint chocolate chip and New York cheesecake. Minty, chocolatey, cheesecake-y perfection. Every bite was rich, fresh, and super satisfying. Huge shoutout to the staff--our server was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful while we were making our (tough!) flavor decisions. Bruster's is a great place for ice cream that is super popular. Their everyday flavors are great and normally would warrant at least four stars. What sets this place apart and gets me to that fifth star are their monthly specials. It is always stellar. This month they have an Apple Dumpling topped with two scoops of cinnamon ice cream, whipped cream, and a cherry. The dumpling took about five minutes for them to prepare, but it had a wonderfully cooked apple wrapped in flaky pastry, then drizzled with sauce and set next to the cinnamon ice cream scoops. As the heat of the dumpling melted the ice cream, it made the most amazing flavored liquid at the bottom of the bowl that you'd enjoy with each bite. So tasty and wonderful. In other months, they've had blueberry cobbler sundaes and cones -- all wonderful and special in their own way. Worthy of a trip just for whatever the monthly special is. read more

Stopped in again here recently and yeah the ice cream is overpriced like so many other things is nowadays and it's got to be something we do less often because of that but it was pretty solid. We took the family to the Greece Bruster's on a whim last week and we were pleasantly surprised at how well the young staff conducted business. It looks like a fun place to work, but they also were very attentive. The ice-cream is amazing , and its very generous portions. We are frequently fliers at Bruesters but yesterday we stopped at the Irondequoit location and had the worst ice cream ever. I had three scoops, 1 of each vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. The vanilla was so crystallized and didn't taste like anything and the strawberry was absolutely horrible, it was so sour and bitter. Never even made it to the chocolate. I had to throw the hole thing out. I am not sure what happened in the mix but I hope they fix it. read more

It seems for a month or better the selection stays the same so you're out of luck if you don't like the ones available....for a month. The staff was super friendly, and I didn't have to wait longer than 5 minutes to place my order and walk out with the best ice cream I've ever had! Bruster's is one of the best, in my opinion Bruster's and Abbott's are tied for #1 in the area but they are not the same type of ice cream so it really just depends on your mood type. I've had a front row view watching this place get built because my office is across the street and we were staring it down every day in the summer wishing it to open its doors to us. Stopped by this past Wednesday and we ordered 3 sundaes. 2 turtles (one vanilla and the other mudslide) and then a regular caramel sundae with salt caramel toffee ice cream. Everyone loved their ice cream, even the picky one in the group. One person in the group drove all the way from Buffalo to give it a try and said they will be back. The caramel sauce was the best part, so many just freeze up when they hit the ice cream but this one stayed nice and warm and fluid. I've frequented the Webster one for years so I'm happy this is around. Come here if you want different flavors, of course they have your basic vanilla and chocolate but they are know for their specialty flavors and making them in house. Try a few out before you decide if you are unsure or get a scoop of one flavor and different 2nd scoop. Many will say it's pricey but it's no more expensive than the other ice cream places, sure I want to pay the $1.25 I did 15 years ago but that's not the norm anymore these employees need to make a fair wage and that reflects. If you want cheap $1 ice cream go to McDonald's.... If the machine is even working.... read more

Brusters is great. My only complaint is that it's now too close to my house which makes it even more tempting. My husband and I have made a pact, no more than twice a week. We've been working towards once a week, but what're two ice creamaholics supposed to do? Seriously though, I really like that this new location has a drive through and that the company has a loyalty program. Price wise it's a little expensive, but no more than any other ice cream store. Delicious, barely describes this ice cream. It would be impossible to pick a favorite flavor!! Every ice cream is Chuck full of its own treat , whether it's Oreos, peanut butter cups, pecans, toffee just to name a few! The waffle cones are " hot off the press everyday". I love Bruster's ice cream. but it had been years since I'd eaten it. I didn't realize they had vegan/dairy free ice cream. This is by far the best vegan ice cream I've had at an ice cream shop. Unlike the couple of other places that serve vegan ice cream, they make their own. This means that instead of the one or two boring pre made flavors you can find at the (very) few places that even have a vegan option, they have all kinds of interesting flavors. So far I've tried white raspberry truffle, peanut butter oreo, banana, mint chocolate chip and strawberry banana. They've all been outstanding. The flavors rotate but every time I've been there they've had at least 2 vegan flavors to choose . from. As a plus, the staff is great! Always friendly and helpful. My non vegan friends tell me their dairy ice cream is great too so this place is definitely worth a try. read more
