Now THIS is a Real hot fudge brownie sundae! This was worth it! I paid .25 cents less for 2/3 less crap at Dairy Queen's version. .69cents for 1 teaspoon of chopped nuts, .40 cents for "extra" hot fudge which in my opinion was the normal amount. I was so upset at DQ in Holly Springs, but made whole at this place! I look forward to stopping by next time!

Brusters is my favorite ice cream parlor. It always taste fresh and sweet. I love the amples amount of flavors they have. The sorbets are definitely my favorite and then mint chocolate chip is the best ice cream. I always go there with my 1 yr old and share a kiddie cup with her. It's also conveniently near my home and by my favorite store, Target! So it's easy for my to shop, then stop by for ice cream. I just downloaded their app so I can start racking up points and rewards. The only one I knew of was in Raleigh which was too far so I'm happy they opened one near me!

Not from North Carolina so I've never heard of Bruster's but when I hear about homemade ice cream I come running! I've been out to Maple View and let me tell you that I think this place is ten times better. Clean and new establishment in Durham right next to Rise. I sampled a couple of their ice creams and found a consistent sweet and creamy texture among all of their flavors. I enjoyed their tiramisu and coffee chocolate chip but the best by far was their Banana Chocolate Chip. You can see a photo of my come on Yelp, the cone being held triumphantly high in the air saying - "winning"!

If you love ice cream you must be familiar with the Cold Stone Creamery. You also must be aware…read morethat quality and service varies widely from store to store. I am happy to report that this location in Durham is the best of the best that Cold Stone Creamery has to offer, and my favorite new reason to visit the Southpoint area. The owner clearly loves the product and interacting with the public, so it's a win-win for all. A bonus for me is that we share the same favorite flavor creation, so I'm guessing they'll never run out of the ingredients! Now I know that Ted's Montana Grill, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and P.F. Chang's all serve very nice desserts, but if you're in the vicinity, why not walk on over to the Cold Stone Creamery? I guarantee you'll be glad that you did!

Got there at 11:30 and was told the cake was not ready, because the ganache was not put on the cake. They asked for 20-30 minutes to put the Chocolate Ganache on the cake. I went and got lunch which gave them the time they needed, plus more! Went to pickup the cake, pregnant employee, and younger employee quickly slid the cake into a bag and handed it to me. They didn't bother to show me the cake at all. I specified " Happy Birthday" in red icing, got pink icing. Ganache was SO sloppily applied that the cake was still peeking out from under the ganache! I won't be going back there again!

The most delicious pastries, perfect croissants, and friendly staff. Great coffee too.read more

"VERY hole-in-the-wall Middle Eastern patisserie"…read more This gives hole-in-the-wall new meaning. The location is in a strip-mall that's set back a ways from 55, so it's not really visible from the street at all. However, it's weirder than that-- you have to drive AROUND the strip mall to the back, past the various loading docks for other stores, and they you see this place is open just from the BACK of the strip mall. I heard the owner is Algerian, but there are many Palestinian references and flags around the shop, so if that's triggering, then know this in advance before coming in. Still, the place is brightly lit and airy, with tables to eat. They do custom cakes, cupcakes, and other desserts, but we just wanted to sample some sweets. Hours are funny-- just midday Friday through Sunday. We ordered a pecan brownie and a pistachio chocolate dish with kunafa (shredded Middle Eastern pastry), as well as a mocha coffee. The mocha coffee was rich and delicious, as expected. The pistachio chocolate dish with kunafa was to-die-for... SO delicious. Super thick and messy, as you'd hope it would be. And of course the pecan brownie was amazing. I will say the pastries are not "cheap". I got a single tahini chocolate chip cookie to go for a friend, and that was $4.50 for a modest sized cookie. The other dishes above were in the $6 range. But these are unusual custom-made dishes, so it's fair.
