Being the blistering summer, the traffic at this Brusters location picks up after dark. If you know my sweet tooth, it will likely not come as a surprise that I occasionally work a Brusters treat into my rotation every now and again. So, following the herd I grabbed a treat on my way in, after dark. I've been to this Brusters location before, and my concerns remain the same. But first, the good stuff- I love a mix-in, and their product with or without is pretty solid. They have an extremely robust menu ranging from basic, to fruity, to fudgy and everything in between. The product is priced more similarly to artisan ice cream, which I don't love. However, my main issue is with the customer service. To date, I've yet to receive adequate customer service at this location, and compared to the other two in the general area (Spring and Woodlands/Magnolia) they offer the worst customer service by far. On this particular trip, I was rushed and near ignored, the employee pointing to the screen that prompted me to tip, while they turned their back to me to tend to other things. They gave me my treat with empty glazed eyes and rushed me on my way. It felt like too much to ask for a pleasant demeanor, a full sentence, or an inkling of care when ordering $9 ice cream. I received the level of hospitality equivalent to a trip to McDonalds. I still do appreciate the flavor variations, and oat milk offerings, but I'll think twice before frequenting this location again when my sugar tooth strikes. Update to the update: as my profile states I'm always honest in my reviews and tell it like it is. Went back to Bruster's tonight (don't be shocked I already said I would ;-D ) and got a waffle cone this time. When I got to the window to pay the manager was there waiting for me, cause he wanted to tell me personally that they have changed the up charge for the waffle bowl!!!! It's now the same price as a waffle cone YAYYYYY and with that news they get that extra star back and this girl needs to go buy some bigger pants! Thank you BRUSTER'S So I'm updating this review and have actually removed a star. Not because of the ice cream because it's outrageously good, but due to the fact that they up charge for their waffle bowls. Now this would normally not be an issue except for the fact that they do NOT tell you nor is it written anywhere of this charge (see copy of receipt) not on their menu in store nor online. It won't stop me from ordering it... quite possibly everyday, but everyone should at least have a heads up. I came back for that southern banana pudding ice cream it is absolutely the best!! I love how crispy the waffle cone & bowls stay. The ice cream is so soft and creamy. I love that it tastes JUST like banana pudding without tasting like fake banana flavoring. My husband got the waffle bowl with rocky road and black raspberry chocolate chunk. Bruster's ice cream is a joke. The manager at the cypress location is terrible and the service is terrible.

Very disappointed. We loved Brusters! We just pulled in and ordered our normal occasional splurge. We drove up to the window, and were told they only take cards. I told the young man we do not shop at businesses that turn down the American dollar, so I guess no more Bruster's for us. We drove off without our order. I think this is the 4th business in a week that we're knocking off of our list to support, due to the fact they are turning away customers that want to pay with cash. Very sad! read more

St Patrick's eve after we left Mo's Irish Pub we went across the street to Bruster's. We ordered two medium waffle cones. There must have been three scoops (at least) in each one . I hate to Brus their ego, but this isn't the best spot for ice cream, by any stretch of the imagination. I'm definitely a fan of the ice cream, depending on what you get - some flavours more than others - and even though it's a national chain and it's pretty expensive, I think they're pretty cool. I have been to this location a few times and have had an okay experience. Unfortunately, came back a couple days ago and was completely dissatisfied. My family placed an order through the drive thru. The item I came for was a seasonal flavor so I was a little bummed but it was not available but it was fine. I order the Rocky Road Ice Cream in a cup instead! My family ordered as well. We waited in line and finally got our ice cream. We drove off and my rocky road order turned out to just be a good old chocolate ice cream. Once I noticed it was too late to turn around. The lettering was barely legible, and birthday wasn't even spelled correctly, so it looked like a kindergartener did it. I ended up scraping it all off and putting a bunch of sprinkles on it. This was my first time going to Bruster's. Had to go through the drive-thru because of the Coronavirus. I thought they had a nice selection. The drive-thru employee was super patient and kind. And my turtle sundae was delicious! I do have to say that I went there because my go-to place is Connie's Frozen Custard on Jones Rd but I was not up to driving that far. Since I always get the turtle sundae at Connie's, I thought I'd compare it to the one I got at Bruster's. Needless to say, Connie's is PERFECTION. Ordered a cake for son's birthday 1.5 weeks ago online. Was never called or anything but when it was picked up it wasn't what was ordered. Charged us for custom cake and didn't get anything custom. Owner was there, and made some lame, tired, overused excuse about Covid instead of owning up to the mistake or lack of competence. We had our order in long enough to have been contacted. If you can't fill orders you should take it off the menu or maybe communicate with customers. Should have just went to the big box places like B&R or DQ. Cypress Tx 77433 two weeks ago at 8:40 pm order two rocky road ice cream on sugar cone when we received it it was dipping melting away but didn't say anything but the next time we to Brusters same location really took the cake it was disgusting we went on 08/10/21 @ 9:06 pm and order the same thing one ice cream cone was ok but was melting the other was upside down in a cup melting. I ask the person at the window why it was in a cup and told because it was melting and did not give me another one as it is their ice cream is expensive but very good I left several messages but has not called me back I would think the owner would be professional enough to call me and make it right and as the persons working the windows they need to use more common sense and make it right for the customer. read more

Tried them out at the Katy Crawfish festival this weekend! I really wanted the Oreo and they were already sold out just a few hours after the event opened so I was bummed.
