I want to start this review and say I believe this place actually has better food than what I had experienced, so if you are hungry for Italian, please give them a try. They are located next to Mallory Square. It was our last night in Key West and my wife wanted me to have my all time favorite cuisine. I ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs and my wife ordered the gluten-free Pappardelle Funghi Salsiccia. I believe their pasta is made in house which is a big plus. The fact they offer gluten-free options is another huge plus. They have a very cute Bruschetta Bar where your server can create your very own Bruschetta appetizer. The reason for the 3-star review is my meatballs were a bit overdone and since they were not as hot as my pasta, I believe they were previously cooked and heated up with my meal. They were a bit dense and dry to my liking. I suggest adding more Italian bread crumbs and cook them in the sauce, but I'm not the cook. Now, the good things. It's a cute restaurant, good ambiance, with happy staff. I promised our Server that I would provide a review, especially for her. Her name was Kenya. She was extremely accommodating and attentive. Took about 30 minutes or more to get our food after we ordered (2 pasta dishes), there was a ton of tchotchkes everywhere that made it feel gimmicky, and food wasn't very tasty (pasta was dry and chicken and sauce were not very good). Absolutely phenomenal Italian food. We came in tonight & sat at the bar. Our server gave us bread with bruschetta and fresh grated cheese. Sooo good. We ordered misa insalata to start, great salad. Then had the ricotta ravioli in bolognese sauce. Oh my it just melted in your mouth. We took home cannoli & tiramisu. All these things were hand made and so fresh!! I just had my cannoli, excellent!! Ayrin and the staff were awesome! We had great food and service! Chris and I spent the day walking around old town Key West and after the Truman White House tour we were hungry for a light meal. This restaurant is a block from Mallory Square on a cool and breezy street. We dined on the patio for the 4-6pm happy hour and the temperature and shade from the umbrellas and buildings were perfect. The quality and quantity of the happy hour portions are perfect for sharing. We ordered the bruschetta classica, the bruschetta with pesto shrimp, the cheese arancini ball, and the tiramisu for dessert. To drink, we ordered the sangria and Prosecco mojitos. All of our food was flavorful and delicious!! The indoor dining area is beautiful and charming if you choose to dine indoors. The bathrooms were clean and large. Last night 9 of us locals had dinner here. It was wonderful! The decor is authentic Italian, the service efficient, and the food was amazing. The last 2 nights I wanted to try the grilled octopus but kept getting the outstanding beef carpaccio. Tonight I ordered it. Had to wait 30 minutes for preparation. Unbelievable how tender and flavorful this was. I'd wait an hour if needed to eat this again. Served with arugula and clarified butter. Butter is unnecessary. It stands on its own. I definitely do not recommend coming to this restaurant. The food was absolutely awful, and the service was equally disappointing. It took absolutely forever to get our food. We ordered two mushroom pasta dishes, and we asked them to put grilled veggies instead of sausage. When we got those dishes, they had like five tiny mushrooms each, and they were probably 60% bell pepper, which does not go well with pasta. We also ordered a pizza, but the pizza was so extremely salty that it was practically inedible. We ordered a fourth dish that we don't remember, but at least that was okay. The waiter was somewhat nice, but also a bit greedy because he kept asking us to spend more money. The ambiance was pretty good, but its good was drowned out by the bad food and service. Mama Mia! I love it when I randomly find a hidden gem! Tucked away just a block from busy Duval Street and seconds from the famous Captain Tony's - we just happened to park near this locally owned eatery and decided to dine here after viewing their diverse and delectable menu . The menu features authentic Italian fare served up by a very hospitable Sicilian owner. The owner's daughter was our server and our experience was excellent . We ordered the bruschetta, calamari and lobster ravioli . The flavor profile of the lobster ravioli was amazing from the aroma , taste and aftertaste. The sauce was rich and complimented the fresh lobster perfectly. The calamari was crisp and flavorful and the bruschetta delicious. 4.5 stars. I want to give this place 5 stars but honestly $70 for the special was just a tad expensive imo. I also wish they had told us the price and I guess shame on us for not asking but I didn't think it would be that much. The special was red snapper, shrimp and a Florida lobster tail with pasta. Was it good? Yes. Was it worth $70? No. One thing I will say is the bruschetta appetizer was really good, and they did give us a complimentary mini bruschetta and 2 lobster ravioli in our main dish just as additional surprises. That was very nice of them and good restaurant service on their part. The dish was also done properly and not slathered in sauce, the (recommended white sauce) complimented the dish. It wasn't an overly salted, thick sauce hiding the flavors like you can sometimes get on seafood dishes. So they do know their craft well. Would visit again. read more

When we split the check 3 ways they gave us 3 checks with 3 different totals and finessed us out of an extra $60. When asked about why we had three different totals their response was that it was computer error and the most expensive check was the correct one. The owner refused to come over and claimed he spoke no English, even though we had spoken to him earlier in the night about the calamari.
