The fresh baked cheesesteak sub with potato chips.
    Dustin M. R.

Having driven past Bruno's Pizzeria dozens of times, I finally had an opportunity to stop for lunch and try them out. On entering the restaurant, the young man behind the counter looked genuinely surprised to have a customer walk in at 2pm on a Monday in December. When I asked if I could dine-in for lunch, he looked surprised again and invited me to select a table. I then advanced to the dining room and seeing only one other table occupied by patrons who were wrapping up, I selected a nice high table by the wall. A few minutes later, the same gentleman handed me a menu and asked what I wanted to drink. By the time he returned with my Pepsi, I had zeroed in on the fresh baked subs, so I asked which one he preferred. When he said the cheesesteak was his favourite, so I went with that one. Before tax and tip, my bill totaled $12.78, which felt pretty average. While I liked the classic Italian décor in the restaurant, the many televisions hanging from the various walls seemed out of place. Below the TVs, the restaurant gave a classical Italy vibe with tasteful pictures and wall hangings, but then you had a bunch of televisions showing Doctor Oz and other random talk shows. These all combined to give an odd sort of sports-bar-meets-nice-Italian-restaurant feel. After a pretty average wait (which actually felt kind of long since I was the only person in the place), my sub arrived. While the sandwich itself had a good flavour, it was not nearly as juicy as one might have expected for a cheesesteak. Likewise as David M noted below in his review, the bun was really dry. Add in the salty potato chips, and it made for a very thirsty meal. I was glad when the employee offered me a refill, and was maybe a little disappointment that he did not offer me another when he brought my bill. Overall I found Bruno's Pizzeria pretty average all across the board: taste, service, price, ambiance, etc. I had no issues during my visit, but likewise nothing really impressed me. As such, I rate Bruno's Pizzeria being Good, and would return.

Well it's off season and a Tuesday afternoon at about 3pm, we stopped for a late lunch, there was only one other table in use when we entered. The service was swift and good and the food was excellent! Would definitely stop again!

Took a trip up to the lighthouse and wanted something very simple and quick to eat. Decided to check out Bruno's pizzeria and it was a good time. I went with the chicken quesadilla and cheesy breadsticks and my wife had a CBR sub!

Paid $30 for a medium pizza with sausage and a flat bread. Both were extremely dry, no taste. Awful...never again. Don't waste your money.

Seems like a big ordeal to go over specifically for wings. But sure, I went. 4:35pm: My buddy and I arrive and the place was DEAD. Not a soul in sight. There was a sign that said the wings will be ready at "5:00ish". 4:45pm: Two beers in and I can smell the charcoal. I watch the cook dump two trash bags worth of chicken wings onto the grill. He spreads them aggressively with his hands. Now I'm starting to see why these are a big deal. 4:55pm: A half drunken lady shows up asking if the wings are ready. She is displeased that she must wait for "5:00ish" 4:59pm: The entire population of Kelley's island converged on Caddy Shack (slight hyperbole). My buddy quickly jumped in line. I consider myself a bit of a wing snob and now I'm thinking "damn, how good could these wings be?" 5:00ish: The first two dozen hit the table. I smell them and quickly ask another friend to grab 3 more dozen. 5:00ish and 30 seconds later: SWEET BABY JESUS why have I never heard of these wings before. My immediate thought was "how can these be recreated on my grill?" 5:15pm: Our entire table is now seated and we have Nine Dozen wings staring at us. I begin to think, "there is no chance we finish all of these wings" 5:20pm: I lose count of how many wings I have consumed. It's too many. The boneyard bowl is full. Must use another bowl. Everyone is still going strong. We can do this! 5:30pm: Some people begin to fade. They are weak minded. Not me. I'm going to see this through. 5:45pm: Four wings remain. 104 of 108 wings have been devoured and we draw straws to see which of us is to consume the remaining four. The chosen four smash the remaining wings. 5:50pm: Mission accomplished! We did it. We finished the best wings in the history of wings. The next hour was a bit of a blur. 24 hours later and I'm trying to figure out how to get back for those wings. I think I'm going tomorrow. Maybe I'll see you there

They have tons on tap and there are many that were new to me with the standards as well. The bartenders are so nice and helpful. They know the taps like no one's business and willingly share their knowledge. Their hours are stunted due to the ferry to get there but it is so worth it. I could take my kid and he loved it too! Totally worth the drive and the gorgeous walk from the ferry or rent a golf cart. The outdoor patio is chill and comfortable with plenty of seating as is the inside with the dining area and the massive bar.

Local mozz, in big chunks, on skewers. Perfectly fried, super pull, plus an excellent house marinara. Yum. Triple yum. Kid K got the kid tenders and fries, and liked them. I got the special, perch and pierogi. Pretty darn good, both aspects. I could have eaten a plate of the pierogi. Come with sautéed onions, and sour cream. A nice tartar for the fish. Big portion of perch. My preference would be a bit more pierogi and a bit less fish, but man, plenty of leftovers. Excellent service. Nice atmosphere, pretty standard lakeside decor. Prices maybe a bit high, but again, a ton of good food. We might be back on our long weekend trip.
