Went here on a Wednesday not very busy so service was good. Our food came out almost too fast. My eggs were not even warm. I promptly got new ones.The heat of the tea melted the ice this is a no no with me other wise tea was good. Pancake was good. Friend ordered salmon quesidia comes on spichich wrap with Gouda cheese was very good. Nice size. The sourdough toast was ok and the hashbrowns were average. Huevos rancheros: the description sounded wonderful but it tasted like cross between a sope and a tostada. The carnitas in were very good. I feel it needed more red sauce, it just had a little drizzled on the top. The house potatoes weren't that great. They came out at room temperature. Birria grilled cheese: this one was our favorite. We found this spot on Instagram, so my daughter wanted to check it out. The vibe was great, we really liked the atmosphere and decor. We split the cinnamon pancakes, and everyone enjoyed them. My husband ordered the classic Benedict, but the ham was too salty, overall he thought it was mid. My son had the smothered potatoes and liked them. The hostess felt low energy, but our waiter checked on us a few times and kept our coffee filled. The person who brought out our food was the most upbeat of the whole staff. I asked for the sauce on the side and when the food runner brought the food I could not tell of the sauce/ gravy was on it as there was no sauce on the side brought out so I asked if it was on the side, he said "I'll take it back then" with an attitude! I'm glad they expanded further east bc I enjoyed the Tempe location. This spot was packed and people were having a good time. We went for an early Father's Day brunch and did the waitlist option on Yelp which came in very handy. The service was pretty good, we waited a while for our food and one of the plates came soggy bc it was sitting in kitchen for a while. The chilaquiles came soggy and they remade it quickly but it was too saucy with little chips in it. The other dish was the spicy clucker which is what I got previously. The jalapeno infused syrup wasn't as good as I remember but overall the fish was good and very filling. We ordered a side biscuit which was big and filling. I ate here with a group of 6 ladies on Tuesday 4/22/2025. We sat outside & enjoyed the patio. (This restaurant has taken over BLD's old location.) The servers were friendly but didn't seem experienced & we often had to flag them down if we needed almost anything. Maybe this is because they put an automatic 18% tip on our group? Plus, their prices seemed high for the inconsistent portion sizes. I thought the food was just OK - pretty standard & nothing outstanding. I swear I've seen him seating tables, managing chaos with a calm Jedi-like energy, bussing plates like a boss, probably fixing the Wi-Fi in the back, and still somehow finding time to pop over to say hi and have a real, friendly conversation. Even when it's peak-hour madness and he clearly has a thousand things flying at him, Colby never phones it in.
