Decent brunch spot, not the best. Chorizo Eggs Benedict: the flavor was good although a bit too greasy. Yes, chorizo is inherently greasy but I think they added more oil to cook everything than could've been used. The eggs were over-cooked. This is the first time I've gone anywhere where my poached eggs have been semi-firm and not runny. Unfortunate as that's my favorite part of the dish. Chicken sandwich: average tasting, nothing great. Ube latte: decent tasting. Only complaint is that I asked for light ice and they still have me the glass over half full with ice. read more

We were in Vista today so decided to check our this place. When walking in there was a large lively room a self serve coffee bar and a relaxing outside eating area which is where we went. After looking at the menu I saw an ingredient that reminded me of another place we frequent closer to home. Also the coffee bar was a giveaway. I asked our server and sure enough I was right. This place was owned by the same owner as a cafe in RB. But the owners went their seperate ways. I had the club wrap which was tasty and a good portion. I took half of it home..there was a little bit to much lettuce on it. Also the fries dud not seem real crsioy and a smaller ( but large enough) portion as their sister restaurant. My husband enjoyed his Mexican omelet. If in Vista a nice place to go in a hidden business area with some unuque stores close by. read more

I have been here a few times and recommend. San Marcos can you a few more breakfast spots (even though this is officially in Vista, it's literally across the street from San Marcos) They have a nice outdoor patio with shade, as well as lots of indoor seating. I really love the all you can drink self-serve coffee bar. The food is good size portions and everything I've had has been tasty. The last time I went was for Sunday brunch. They serve mimosas, and the two women sitting next to us were obviously over-served and were wasted (pretty sure they started off that way). I think one even fell asleep at the table at one point. They were so loud and obnoxious, I was surprised the staff didn't intervene. Other than that... I do recommend this place read more

Health department should pop in for a visit and I'd be surprised if the establishment lasts much longer unless they make some serious changes. Service was incredibly slow, server coughed in hand while dealing with customers drinks. Cooks not swapping out gloves in between breaks, making the gloves virtually useless. Line prep/cook, who also looked to be the good runner, also not utilizing gloves while touching customers toasts. No one seemed to really know what to do as it became busy, but it was easy to see everyone looked frantic running back and forth. Also, $12 for two kids apple juices is outrageous. Needless to say, we obviously won't be coming back. read more

We stopped in for a quick breakfast before heading to Legoland and were pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. We ordered the buttermilk pancakes, a side of ham, and over-easy eggs--nothing fancy, just a simple meal--but everything was cooked perfectly. The pancakes were fluffy, the ham had a nice sear, and the eggs were just right. Service was friendly and fast, and the space had a chill, clean vibe. Great little spot to grab a bite without the wait or hassle. read more

Once again we were ignored when we arrived, the waiters and waitresses didn't know what they were doing. We saw them arguing with each other who was going to take tables. They stared right at us making us feel really awkward. Then after the fact 3 other tables came in after us and were served before us. The menu has also been changed and the food look so plane. Sorry brunch point we tried to give you another chance but we won't be going back. read more

Party of 4 for Sunday brunch at about 11 AM. It was busy but we only had to wait a few minutes for our table. The Good: Greeted by a very friendly host Great selection of brunch cocktails Serve yourself coffee bar The Bad: Long wait for server, drinks to be delivered and food to be delivered We were really looking forward to the gluten free pancake and were told by our server that "they don't do gluten free past Friday" - seems very strange for a brunch place to not offer gluten free on the weekend. He did let us know that they have gluten free bread and it could be used for French toast. When it arrived we questioned if it had even been dipped in egg, it was so dry and bland. We also ordered a mango pineapple pancake that managed to be burnt and raw in the middle at the same time. The omelette was ok but the sourdough toast that was served was obviously the ends of the loaf, burnt and inedible. The mimosas saved this meal. The (Really) Bad: The tables inside are very close together and when they are being bussed/clean, the employees use a bus cart. It's disgusting to have a cart right next to you piled high with dirty dishes, seeing cups being poured out and stacked right next to your table. We noticed this right away and it should have been our sign to go somewhere else. I don't see a need for a bus tub vs just clearing tables. We observed servers carrying drinks tucked into their arms instead of using hands or a tray. Staff appeared nervous, hectic. Our server told us someone else would take over our table for 20 minutes because they needed him in the kitchen. When our bill was brought and the server asked how everything was we all said "ehh, just ok", "not great" and were told "thanks for coming in." They have a lot of issues to work out. I don't understand the 4 and 5 star reviews. read more

We decided to do a Monday morning breakfast. After looking over several menus, we decided on Brunch Point. The restaurant itself was open and airy, with a serve yourself coffee station that had some nice coffees available, so we were hopeful. I ordered the Stuffed Rolled Pancake Roll-described as being stuffed with strawberry, banana, lemon berry mascarpone cheese, drizzled with house berry sauce, which I asked for on the side. When my plate arrived, I noticed there were blueberries and strawberries but no bananas, which was a deciding factor for me ordering this item. Also, the filling was not evenly distributed, nor did it have berries in it as indicated in the description. When the server came over, I told her about the disappointment between the description of what I was expecting and what I received. She said they were training a new cook and they were also out of bananas. I did tell her that it would have been good to know since not everyone likes blueberries. She asked if I wanted something different, but since my husband was about done, I didn't want to wait any longer. He shared with me. She said she would "discount" our check. More on that... My husband ordered Brunch Point-American Breakfast with crispy bacon, crispy hashbrowns, and poached eggs. The eggs came out in a small bowl with quite a bit of water... more than what we are accustomed to seeing, the hashbrowns were very pale, not crispy and the bacon while crispy looked like it had been put in a deep frier as the slices were all wrapped up on each other, not sort of flat that would be expected from frying on a griddle. It didn't taste like Applewood bacon at all and had what looked like burnt cilantro or parsley leaves stuck on several pieces... not appetizing at all. So when the server finally got back around, we let her know about the watery eggs and the stuff burnt on the bacon. No big deal, we weren't asking for another discount. I did ask what she meant by a discount on my meal, and she said it would be 10% off. I pointed out that it wasn't as described and literally had 3 bites of the pancake that only had some filling in 1 bite. She said she could do $10, that's all that was allowed. I asked for the manager and she said he wasn't there so I asked for a card so I could call later. Interestingly, the card provided was for a buy one get one free!!! Why didn't she just apply that coupon for me? She could offer me a new meal but not remove it...I didn't even take it in a doggy bag. Felt like I got ripped off paying $5 dollars for 3 bites of pancake with berries and sauce. read more

We love trying out new places. We were in town hanging out with our family-son suggested trying this place out. The company that I work remotely for is nearby and I was surprised by the changes that happened in this mini area. Was seated outside since it was a beautiful day. My DIL and I split the eggs Benedict and the Stuffed French Toast. Food came out hot and delicious. Grandson was especially fond of the house potatoes and pieces of the Stuffed French Toast. Great place and I suspect that the neighborhood nearby is happy to have this place nearby. Another place to go to when we are in town. read more

Went on a Sunday morning at about 10 o'clock. We were seated pretty quickly and a server brought us water us know who our actual server would be. We were told about the coffee bar which I think is a great idea as it has something for everyone, dark roast, medium flavored, etc. Our orders were taken - we each ordered a savory item so that we could share a pancake dish for dessert. Our server told us to hold off on ordering the pancakes until our meals arrived. We took his advice. The food arrived, and my Benedict was lukewarm. My friend had ordered bacon as a side which was not brought out and also asked for his toast to be toasted properly as it was just warm. He was immediately accommodated the Benedict was OK tasting but the hollandaise had no real flavor. The eggs were poached well and the hashbrowns were crispy and delicious. My friend liked her steak hash and my other friend liked his omelette. The coffee is hot and you can get refills as many times as you like. We ordered the pineapple upside down pancakes - I thought they were average not as fluffy as I would like in a little bit pasty. The pineapple was delicious. Our server Brandon was very helpful and accommodating. I would give it 3 1/2 stars but don't know how to do that. read more

I went for breakfast, and though the service was good, the food I ordered was a standard breakfast, which was okay; it wasn't the worst nor the best. The eggs were a little bland, and the chicken sausage wasn't great; maybe having turkey sausage would have been a better option. However, I loved the Horchata latte and smoothie. The ambiance was fine, i think it lacks more theme and energy to it. read more

Avoid the weekend brunch or lunch time, it is very crowded! I enjoy the ambience but because of the crowd service was slow. The food was ok, the sides were a bit of an afterthought. It looks like they recently opened so hopefully will improve with more experience but I would not come again because there are better places to eat elsewhere with faster service for that level of food quality. read more

DON'T come here if you wish to pay 22% gratuity for large parties over than 4+ people without actually having the waiter do their job. Bring your own seasoning if you need food to actually taste good. Our waiter was kind just lacked servicing us.. they even set our table with the food and food fell from the plate they literally picked it up off the table and put it back on the plate with their bare hands--NASTY! Since there was no wait i thought, "How convenient" but i can see why now. Just being honest, and helping the next family, don't come here. read more

Arrived around 10:30 on a Saturday morning. The restaurant was mildly busy. Interior is well decorated with a rustic farmhouse vibe. There is a coffee bar with several different coffees and a few creamer options. I didn't part take. I did order a hot Mexican mocha and my companion ordered a hot chai latte. The flavor of both was delicious but they certainly arrive lukewarm at best. For breakfast I ordered the Lox Benedict. Again food came out warm. The English muffin could have been toasted a bit more. The Benedict's came with grilled onions that just didn't work for me. My favorite part of a Benedict is the runny yolk of the poached egg. One of my eggs was runny and the other was cooked solid. The homestyle potatoes were seasoned well but also lukewarm. Lukewarm is not appealing. The seasonal fruit that arrived with my companions entree was the highlight of her entree. Her BLAT Benedict's were under seasoned and arrived lukewarm warm. Service started strong, and our water was refilled but there was little opportunity to interact with our server. Our finished plates were left on our table as we continued chatting and drinking coffee. The bill was placed on our table with a "I'm just going to place this here but not rush". When we didn't immediately pick up the bill to pay, someone came back to our table and abruptly left the handheld device and said "I'm just going to leave this here". I love to try different spots and give them a chance. Today's experience was just lackluster. read more

Ambiance is great for brunch but the food was NOT. My husband got the corned beef benedict and I got the waffle benedict with hash browns and both of our hash browns were cold, we asked for a new one and that was warm but only on the edges, and my poached egg was so over cooked - looked like a hard boiled egg drizzled with hollandaise sauce and I say drizzled because that's exactly what it was. My son got the biscuits and gravy and his biscuits were so hard he didn't even eat it. My daughter got the tuna sandwich and that was good along with their fries. We really wanted to like it but 3 awful plates out of the 4 we ordered was a waste of money. Service was also just ok, our waitress was annoying because was not helpful at all. read more

No idea how this place has good reviews. The food took forever to come out and it was awful. Zero flavor. Wont be returning.

I wanted to like Brunch Point. However, it was some of the worst breakfast food I have had in years. The French Toast was a soggy undercooked mess. I was told that they used to use half and half and now they soak it in heavy cream. The outside was burned and the inside was like raw dough. The "sausage" is unlike anything I have ever seen. I don't know how they call it sausage. It is literally a grilled hot dog they cut in half and grill. The hash browns were also undercooked and tasteless. I will stop there, but it seems others have had a similar experience for many months now and they continue to make the same mistakes. I do hope they improve, especially given the prices for simple breakfast items. read more

My family and I went for brunch today. My niece ordered a Belgian waffle that she said was bland. I ordered the Classic Benedict which was also bland. The eggs were overcooked and the gluten-free bread I subbed in for the English muffin was not toasted. My son's beverage order was forgotten. The specialty coffees were very nice. My brother-in-law's coffee splashed, so we asked for napkins. Eventually he got up and requested a cloth and cleaned it up himself. Our server was good, very knowledgeable and helpful. The other servers helping her seemed overwhelmed and did not listen to her instructions about where to set orders. We did receive our food before utensils, and not all of our plates came out at the same time, so we did have to wait a bit before we could eat what was in front of us. The tables were too close together, so the servers kept bumping our chairs as they went past. I was waiting at the women's bathroom and the server told me I could use the men's because they are both single-stall bathrooms. Might be a good idea to label them all-gender, like at other businesses. read more

I was expecting a delicious breakfast. I was told that the green chilaquiles were delicious, so I ordered them. The guacamole was black, the beans were sour and spoiled, the salsa was bitter. My friend and I had a nice Senior and regular price Garden Omelette! The omelettes were full and fresh, a nice portion equal to one another, she had hash browns, I had fruit, small cup but ample. It came with choice of toast as well, I had coffee, self-serve with selections of different blend beans. She arrived and was not greeted as she was waiting on me till I arrived, then waitress greeted us and told us to sit where we wanted. What was the point of waiting when we could sit wherever?! She then told us to bear with her as she was the only person serving. Now I could see that if she was slammed but this was not the case. I think she needs correction in her communication to her customers as you should never tell them you can't handle your tables, experience! When she came by to drop the check, you have to pay right then and I was still eating, I did not realize this as this was my 1st time here, I asked if she could come back as I was still eating, she seemed perturbed, not my fault so I believe she should adjust her attitude and not presume what you're protocol is for services rendered. I would return as the breakfast was very good!. Nice atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating! read more

The first time I visited this restaurant, I had a good experience with the food and the service but the restaurant was only semi-busy because they had only been open for a short time. However, my most recent visit wasn't as great. They were very busy so maybe we just caught them on a bad day. Our server was great and very accommodating but our food wasn't as good as the last time. Only 1 person from our group was happy with their meal. The staff was doing their best to be helpful and polite which I really appreciated. I ordered an Ube Latte with oat milk but wasn't aware that it had coconut in it. Our server said they it didn't have coconut but I for sure tasted it. Everyone at my table tasted the drink as well and also said it tasted like coconut. It was probably in the Ube powder they use. Either way I think it's good for them to know for sure in case someone has a coconut allergy and orders it. Some of the food was cold by the time it got to our table. My Loco Moco had brown gravy that tasted like heavy cream or cheese which wasn't what I was expecting. It also took quite a while for one of our party to get the hot water and lemon they asked for and when it finally did come, it came with a brown lime inside and the mug already had lipstick on it. I don't typically like leaving negative reviews but I also want to be honest. I don't think they were prepared for how busy they were and it showed. I don't see myself coming back again. read more

I've been here 3 times. Each time I hope it gets better. My breakfast today was a basic eggs over easy, bacon, potatoes and toast. The eggs were fine, but one small piece of toast cut in half doesn't quite reach the threshold.of value. The "home fries" were over fried potatoes cubes that had so much salt on them, they were literally hard to swallow. Just not a fan, and I really wanted to be. read more
