It's a must see place!! The wine is still developing but the ambience and the tasting rooms are worth what you pay for. They have a cantina that serves great fancy cocktails. We came to Fauna Restaurant and we don't regret it at all. Actually, it was a great experience! They have a menu but we decided to do the experimental menu which is an eight course meal (about 60-65 dollars a person). The food was fantastic; we tried delicious seafood, vegetables, lamb, and dessert (Look at the pictures). Don't waste your time and money here!. Extremely disappointed. For almost two weeks we were trying to make reservations, calling, emailing, sending messages on their website and I barely got a response one day prior, we were excited and decided to give them a try. You must know they only have a handful different wines and only 2 are red. We walked in there, they give you a little explanation of the winery and the wines but the tasting is literally only 10 minutes, they rush you to get out and get more people in, the entire experience is less than 30 minutes seriously?. Nowhere to sit, you are just standing and they keep pushing you to get out of there, come on, for $30 USD, give me some time!. The wines are mediocre, keep in mind there are so many wineries in valle with better prices and much better wine, and and they won't push you to leave!. We rush our wine because there was a huge group walking in and it got packed in there. I thought they will keep a limit because of covid restrictions but clearly they don't care. We walked out and I decided to purchase a bottle and drink it outside since we couldn't stay any longer inside, they sent us back to the front desk, we paid for a bottle, then they asked us to wait until the lady charge everyone on a large party, what the heck!, They made us wait over 20 minutes in order to receive our bottles, and when we finally got them, they didn't want to give us glasses, are you serious!. In the meantime the huge group of people, around 20 not exaggerating being serviced VIP, they kept saying hey know Lulu witch is the owner, or the winemaker whatever... So they made us rush our tour and out tasting and they also made us wait ridiculous amount of time in order to give lulu's friends a much better service???, But we paid the same!. Upon arriving the entrance to this location is amazing! Carefully thought out and it didn't disappoint. We had Daniel as our wine tasting chaperone and he was fantastic very cordial and very informative with how this entire place came about! Definitely a must visit! Will be back most Def! read more

This restaurant is pretty new. You must have a reservation.This is a beautiful place! We have a vacation house in Rosarito so we go to the Valle de Guadalupe all the time. Great food and wine. Had Tostadas de Nopales, Sopes de pato and Salpicon de Puerco. I think it's my favorite so far in line with Finca Alta Lozano. We give it a 9.5! Try it, you'll love it. Service was great, too. The brownie with coffee and vanilla bean was delish! Met the head chef, David. He was so into preparing each dish! Very gracious! Our server was great too, Roberto Ortega. The surrounding grounds, gardens and view are spectacular. The place is so beautiful and relaxing. The only negative was they only had three types of wine served by the glass. The winery has been around, they've also hosted events (weddings) but the restaurant as well as the tasting room is brand new. We came here for a tour and tasting and the price was $300 pesos per person for 4 tastings and only 1 or 2 was their own, which.....seemed a little odd to me but we went through with it anyway. The property is absolutely gorgeous, the lady who gave us the tour was nice and spoke some english as well which helped. Since it's fairly new, there really wasn't much to see as far as the tour goes. There is a VIP tasting room which is on the upper level (where the big tree and man-made lake sits), the tasting rooms are underground in one building and next door is the restaurant, which we did not get to experience during this trip. Given that it's so new, I would still come back and get the full experience once everything is more organized. read more

We had such a great experience at Bruma over Labor day weekend. We messed up our reservation time but they were very accommodating and got us in regardless. We had the most excellent tour guide who was so knowledgable and fun to be around. Then we went to eat at the Bruma Wine Garden to eat and my boyfriend and I each got one of their "pizzas" it was really a flat bread with toppings, but it was absolutely delicious. Definitely suggest the spinach and cheese one. read more

Ambience was top notch surrounded by mountains and beautiful landscape. Food was alright, we asked for the tomahawk steak one well done for the kiddos and another medium for us. The medium steak was almost rare... we had to return it (3) times... flavor was there but ultimately disappointed we had to have it cooked again. We usually never return food, but the steak was inedible... side dishes were delicious, as was the dessert and wine! Service was subpar -waiter often forgot about our drinks or other requests. Terrible service. We took a tour bus to there. They didn't want to share their WiFi password. We were gathered around like sheep in a very nasty fashion. Had to take a tour that no one wanted to take. Was provided to lightest pours of wine for our tastings. We were told to leave after we finished the tasting. I will never go there nor recommend that junk place. read more

We went to their restaurant Wine Garden and although the food was great and the experience was amazing we left and realized someone broke into our car and stole our backpack with an iPad and wallet. Understanding the restaurant is not responsible they do have 2 security guards walking around the parking areas. I reached out to them through the number I had when I made a reservation and I didn't get an answer. Pretty sure it was their guards. There are two guards not sure what their job is but it's definitely not to look out for your cars. So if you visit be careful for the thieves dressed as guards. read more

Very unorganized, wine tasting included tour, tasting and VIP area, but once we got there and payed, tour was given by a guy that had limited knowledge or was nervous or both, the wine tasting is okay, and before ending the tour, we were kicked OUT! Couldn't even access "VIP" area and couldn't get the photo op which I think it is the only nice thing here, the dead tree on the middle of the water pond, that's it! If you guys want a nice Instagram picture maybe come here but totally not worth the cost of the wine tasting, maybe the restaurant is a better experience but we did not eat, giving 2 starts since wineries should be all about the wine tasting experience and it wasn't for them at all read more

The tasting menu here was phenomenal. I thoroughly enjoyed every dish. This place is magical in the sense that the food and the ambience generate genuine excitement because you can see your neighbors get plated before you and the anticipation builds before each serving. The food itself is beyond description and literally must be experienced to be understood and fully deconstructed. My sincere compliments to the chef for a truly remarkable experience. This spot is so amazingly beautiful and the restaurant and vineyard on location is fabulous too. We took a late reservation and we're so glad we did. At closing a few of the staff members got e wry one attention and started singing and just about everyone joined it. It was so fun to watch. The only bummer is Bruma reminded me I really need to learn Spanish! When visiting the restaurant, vineyard, or villa make sure you have a reservation or they won't let you in the gate. read more

This review is for Fauna, the restaurant, which was beautiful and food delicious, though better for groups as everything came as a large dish meant to be shared family style. The service, however, was inattentive and not quite up to typical American standards. For example, we were literally never given even a napkin during our entire meal nor separate small plates to eat from. The signage to get here was also poor and it was very hard to find at night since the only lights were our car headlights. The single pour wine options were also mediocre. All in all, a good restaurant, but needs time to mature and work out kinks. read more

Had an amazing experience when we were there! We've heard bad reviews about this place (a bit of a hassle to make the reservation for the wine tastings, and very small portions served at their restaurant). Now, I don't know about the food since we didn't eat there, but the reservation was "easy-ish" to make! We were trying to call before 12pm (they still hadn't opened) so it was indeed a bit difficult to get the call through, but once they answered, we were driving there and about to arrive in 5min! We told them we would be there in 5, and they said it was OK! So, above all - nice and easy, we made the reservation 5min before arriving and it was all good!!! They DO ask at the entrance for your reservation and won't let you in if you don't have one, so bare that in mind. Once inside, it was ALL EMPTY! The whole winery just for us! It was so early that no one was there (June 3rd SUNDAY, 12pm). We were told it was the season too (one weekend before it was Memorial Day and we were told the whole town was PACKED!!), so we were lucky almost all wineries were this empty for the whole weekend, so if you plan a trip try to make it during this time! Also weather is perfect! Not too cold not too hot. We didn't have to wait at all for the tour (we've heard some people must wait for long time, and share the tour with many people) we didn't waited! As we arrived we stared the tour and wine tasting, and the tour was just for us since there was no one else there! Quick 10-15min tour, and later chill and relax for the wine tasting! Amazing experience very nice service! Our guide was super fun and really chill! Served us LOTS of wine! And have lots of feedback about the wine and their winery's story!! I DO highly recommend them! Fauna was absolutely beautiful and the food, divine. The portions are large and while we orders 3 dishes, we canceled one after the first two came. We had auguchile. Fresh fish with cucumbers in a ceviche like sauce. Amazing. Next was Pulpo (octopus) with red beans and chicharone. (Fried pork rinds) this was so delicious. Char-grilled octopus, brand and the crispy pork skins went so well together. Had such an amazing time! read more

A magical place. This is where luxury meets nature. I have never been to Valle de Guadalupe before, but when the opportunity came up I knew I wanted to stay in this place and eat at their restaurant Fauna, (voted best one in México in 2019 btw). If you are looking for a relaxing, joyous, peaceful yet exciting place to escape from the every-day life, this is it! The fact that it is a small housing venue makes it easier to wander around the house among strangers also staying there. The size of the house is quite large to fit the guests without even seeing each other all day. The view is magnificent in the morning, afternoon and night. The scenery is quite enjoyable; transmitting tranquility. You could spend all day just zoning out into your thoughts, gazing to the mountains; or cuddle up by the fireplace to read a good book; have a splash in the hot tub outside; do yoga; swim in the pond; ride the bicycle around the entire vinícola; go for a run; eat delicious food; drink amazing wine; sleep and repeat. I had to rebook due to an emergency. Although they were accommodating with the rebooking, it had to be a year out due to no weekends being available. About a month before going (reservations for Apr 2018), I reconfirmed the reservation, and it did not exist. I sent emails showing the confirmed rebooking, etc., and their attitude was 'sorry,' and basically a big shrug of the shoulders. The next available weekend is July and, needless to say, I will not be rebooking. I do not trust their system and the customer service is lacking. My advice is to check your reservations daily. And, remember, there are many other wine regions in the world to visit! read more
