THE BIG: Beautiful winery perched on top of a hill with a great view of the valley. Located in Valle De Guadalupe and th isis one of those grand wineries you typically see in California. Plenty of parking outside in gravel. THE BLACK AND WHITE: This was our second and also lunch stop in our wine tour. The wine tasting is interesting as you go up to the bar to get a tasting instead of them coming to you. Unconventional and I guess it helps with keeping accountable what wines you want at what time. For food, we got the duck carnitas and honolulu pizza. Both were alright. The pizza to be honest was pretty bad. It was pure cheese and it looked like it wasn't cooked all the way. The duck carnitas was good however the meat was a bit dry. You could definitely share a plate if you have two in your party. We were treated to a dirt devil entertainment as the small twister upended some umbrellas and there's great photo spots on the terrace to remember your trip. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall we spent around 1500 MXN here. The food and wine was mediocre at best. Views were incredible though. Definitely come here for that. read more

Fist time to this amazing and historic winery. It has been here since it was founded by the Spanish missionaries in the 1700s. Stunning views of the vineyards, and beautiful old oak bar inside. We came on a holiday bus trip party with 25 of us, and tried the Chardonnay and Tempranillo, which were both excellent. We had a group of 26 people for a wine tour for a bridal party. We had a special tasting & meal or so we thought! They offered it at $46 per person and we were supposed to get appetizers, salad, few options for main dishes (and there aren't many great options to choose from anyway), and brownie desert with ice cream. First round of salad came out and they set a medium size bowl in front of each table section family style. Cesar salad was meh, dry dressing and stale croutons that seemed like they were from bottom of the box, it wasn't anything special and cheap lettuce. Appetizer of a yellowtail with mushroom marinade their spin on ceviche came out next. It was served up with some stale tostadas and again family style, not filling or enough for everyone. Ribs were brought out next, this is where it got hilarious. Family style small pork ribs with enough for maybe one or two guys at the table, not for group! Not everyone got one, it wasn't cool. They wanted to up charge for additional. No thanks. Then fish plate came out and got ridiculous with a piece of fish and some broccolini and asparagus enough for 1. We got like 3 plates to split between 26 people! Insane! Everyone starving still and here comes the final pork belly with tortillas and guac. We all devoured and made tacos because we were still STARVING. They told us to go on our tour and then come back for dessert, A SHARED brownie for 2 and tablespoon scoop of ice cream. Ice cream was honestly the only thing that was good here. Wine give it a 1, it was horrible pours and didn't offer wines we even liked. They were all cheap. We asked for a sample tasting of one we did like, Malbec and they said they didn't have bottle open. It's a winery open that sucker if you want to make some sales! They need better service and not rude like the girl at register or little server we had. As we were paying, we had 26, plus they charged us for a few extra plates (because they underserved the portions and up charged again)! We even bought 3 pizzas separately for the tables and still people were hungry. Pizza was horrible too. How do you mess that up? They overcharged us for 28 people and we paid US $ CASH they then when we called out the additional charges they said they setup 28 chairs, but we all came by bus together and only fit 26! How did they add 2 more? They fought back on this saying they served add'l brownie, like what? A cheap brownie and your charging $96 USD over? They finally got someone else to come over and refund $40 IN PESOS. What a joke! We paid in cash and they tried to cheat us again! Place is a rip off! Your drivers have deals with these places. Be very cautious and research before going to any of them. This place is shady and STOLE our money. You lost so much business from our group you have no idea what some of us do and what we could have brought to your little hole. Your loss over $96, bad business. Owners better step it up! Better off going to Bruma! Amazing service. Michelin star and drinks are so delicious and sexy! Bartender was amazing! Coffee is SO good and fresh! Wow this place is amazing. The ambiance and scenery is second to none. I had a flight plus and extra glass of Tempranillo. The wines are very good but not amazing. At least the three from the tasting in the Tempranillo I had. Unfortunately the cheeseboard was not that impressive for me as a cheese connoisseur. The bread with olives and presentation was amazing but the Manchego that they make there is too soft for my taste as I like a hardened, more Spanish style Manchego. The next course, the Caesar salad was also decent but not anything over the top. Very big portion and can be split with 2 to 3 people. One of the most beautiful views in the valle de Guadalupe wineries areas . We had 3 bottles of wine and two glasses of sangria which were a big let down . Water down and no flavor whatsoever. If you come here it's for the view , food and wine. The wine selection they had was delicious and the food was good. We had lunch so nothing to heavy but still great. Overall the view of the valley is what they told us about and it was everything I expected. One thing they can improve on is their service . Came here on a busy day, our waiter kept forgetting to take our order, then he Came back with wrong items. We waited a long time to get any service. Big plus is that animals are allowed and there aren't too many vineyards in Valle de Guadalupe where pets are welcomed. This place is a boogie place, you can tell from the minute you set foot. The crowd and even heliport they have for a $250-350 15min. helicopter ride. Need I say more? Wine tasting: I returned a glass of wine that had cork residue. Gentlemen decided to downplay w/ me and say it's ok it's just cork. IDGAF, if it's cork I'm not about to pay for some wine that has shit floating around. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately for us the pizza oven was down so we couldn't order that which is what we were going to get our kids. Took a family trip down to Ensénada to celebrate Memorial Day and also as an early birthday trip for myself. Never been wine tasting in Mexico but the misses keeps talking about it, so here was my change. This was the final local on our multi stop tour and we were delighted by the experience. The staff was friendly and attentive. They made sure we had everything we needed and what wines worked best with our food selection. All the staff was masked up and kept a solid distance to meet Covid-19 guidelines for the venue. The location has great views of the wine valley and several spots for a photo opt or two. Definitely one of the larger wineries but during a heat wave, it's one of the only places with air conditioning. Food and wine are both decent. There's a huge outdoor area with tables and sofas so if you're with a large group, it's a comfortable space to sit together. It's very popular here so expect crowds on the weekends. read more

All I can say is WOW! This place has been added to my list of Top Wineries to visit in Valle. The view and space itself is breath taking. We were on a tour with @alfredowinerytours we didn't have reservations and showed up around 2PM we were seated promptly inside with AC! They outside area is beautiful but it had a wait! We had breakfast at another place and then had gone to one winery so this was our second top. I got the Frutos Negros Mojito which is made with white wine no red and it was so refreshing literally my favorite drink of the day! We also got a cheese board, oysters, and the burrata salad everything was absolutely delicious! I saw they had pizza to and can't wait to come back and try it! Service was great ! Yes, the view is beautiful and the wine is good. I would absolutely return. I had the cabernet which was very smooth and a "mojito" made with wine, strawberries and mint. This is probably the most well known winery in the valle de Guadalupe and has an impressive view. I will say, check your bill because we ordered 4 glasses of wine and 1 bottle to split and 2 of the glasses were charged as bottles so they will absolutely try to overcharge. I would give this place 4 stars but the dishonest business practices caused me to deduct one. read more

Went to a few wineries during my trip to Valle De Guadalupe, and this was my favorite one. I also think it was because we did an actual tour instead of regular tastings, like we did at the other two. The wine maker was busy at the time we got there for our reservation, so they poured us a generous glass of wine (to which the wine pourer got scolded at later for pouring us too much). For $41 USD, we did the premium tour which allowed us to choose whatever wine we wanted to try. We were a group of nine and we got to try at least 5 bottles ranging from whites, roses, to reds. It was interesting listening to how the wine got started in this area and the type of grapes they used. After our wine tasting, the wine maker gave us a tour below and explain the process of how they make the wine. Most places will not allow you to view the process, but here they were open to everyone viewing their process. They say that they would like to expand and the only way to expand is to have people know about the wine. Continuing on the tour, they have a room filled with the glass bottles, great for photos! It was a little colder the further you go below, I believe he said it was 30 feet below sea level. At the end of the tour, there was a table with some cheese and meat platter for us to eat while we enjoy one last bottle. The last bottle 981 was the best, which we all ended up buying a bottle to bring back to the US. (PS: if you cross the border, you're only allowed one bottle per person!!!) Overall, I really enjoyed this winery. Definitely recommend everyone to try it! read more

What AMAZING views!!! Decantos is a stunning location at the top of an unpaved road. It's modern façade and general architecture will impact you immediately. It's beautiful. Sitting outside on their balcony as you drink and eat is definitely the way to go. We drank their red blend and snacked on their meat and cheese platters while people watching and taking in the views. We stopped at Decantos as part of our wine tour. When our group of 8 walked in, we got asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. Since it was nice out, we said outside and they brought us downstairs. In which, I went to order a tasting at the bar downstairs and they were out of all whites and some of the reds. I wish they would have told us that if we went upstairs we could have gotten more choices. We eventually went inside and upstairs because we got cold outside and I was annoyed that some of the group had a white wine that they told me they were out of downstairs but was available upstairs. Anyways, lack of communication. We ordered: - lots of wine - ceviche (2 different kinds) - panna cotta dessert They had several ceviche choices on the menu and we went with the berry and the tropical one. But with the crowd and outside heat, those poor AC units overhead barely kept the inside at a comfortable temperature. Definitely would be a nicer experience if it wasn't too hot to be outside as they have a gorgeous and expansive outdoor area. Food looked good, but we came right after lunch, so we just got drinks. It was super crowded, so the service was a bit slow. But the severs were working their culo off to get our large party enough delicious sangria. You have to go up to the counter to get pours for the tastings, so instead of waiting forever for each pour, we randomly chose a bottle of syrah to share at the table. Each trip we take to Valle takes us to Decantos. It's typically our first stop and one of our favorites to show off to friends. The building is beautiful and the views are to die for! Not to mention the gorgeous tables and bar made of massive logs. Their wine selection is huge and contains nearly every single one of my favorite varietals. They've got Cab, Tempranillo, Grenache, and many, many others. I much prefer reds to whites so I've never had any of their whites before. We typically leave with a bottle or two (ok, three!) so we can stock up at home. We live in Rosarito, so lucky for us we don't have to worry about the bottle limit getting across the border! I also really love the packaging - it's so pretty! Not sure why that matters to me, but it does! The wine tour is pretty cool and the art installation they have at the entrance is really awesome. While I typically would rather check out the smaller wineries, Decantos is still a must-stop for us. You should check it out, too! read more
