THE BIG: Beautiful winery perched on top of a hill with a great view of the valley. Located in Valle De Guadalupe and th isis one of those grand wineries you typically see in California. Plenty of parking outside in gravel. THE BLACK AND WHITE: This was our second and also lunch stop in our wine tour. The wine tasting is interesting as you go up to the bar to get a tasting instead of them coming to you. Unconventional and I guess it helps with keeping accountable what wines you want at what time. For food, we got the duck carnitas and honolulu pizza. Both were alright. The pizza to be honest was pretty bad. It was pure cheese and it looked like it wasn't cooked all the way. The duck carnitas was good however the meat was a bit dry. You could definitely share a plate if you have two in your party. We were treated to a dirt devil entertainment as the small twister upended some umbrellas and there's great photo spots on the terrace to remember your trip. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall we spent around 1500 MXN here. The food and wine was mediocre at best. Views were incredible though. Definitely come here for that.
Fist time to this amazing and historic winery. It has been here since it was founded by the Spanish missionaries in the 1700s. Stunning views of the vineyards, and beautiful old oak bar inside. We came on a holiday bus trip party with 25 of us, and tried the Chardonnay and Tempranillo, which were both excellent. We ordered some cheese platters, which were delicious too, especially the fresh soft cheese. Totally recommend!
Beautiful location with lots of outdoor seating. The Ceasars salad was incredible, I highly recommend it. The wine was very nice, we opted for 2 bottles for a group of 5, it was cheaper than doing 5 rounds of tastings. The servers were very nice and took great care of us. Definitely recommend this on your wine journey.
Definitely a great place to add to your list of stops when in the Valle. Has great outdoor seating with great views, service is a little slow, pricing is not bad at all. Decantos is well known for their Sangrias which I had tried and liked. I also did tasting here and prefer their Chardonnay over their Rose. Red's are good but I am more about the bubbly. Totally recommend this spot. They have music as well.
Wow this place is amazing. The ambiance and scenery is second to none. I had a flight plus and extra glass of Tempranillo. The wines are very good but not amazing. At least the three from the tasting in the Tempranillo I had. Unfortunately the cheeseboard was not that impressive for me as a cheese connoisseur. The bread with olives and presentation was amazing but the Manchego that they make there is too soft for my taste as I like a hardened, more Spanish style Manchego. The next course, the Caesar salad was also decent but not anything over the top. Very big portion and can be split with 2 to 3 people. However, aside from the beautiful beautiful ambience overlooking the mountains of the Guadalupe Valley, with music playing - The grill doc to push dish is worth driving out of your waves for!!!! 4 to 5 huge chunks of tentacles seasoned to perfection cooked to a steak like texture.
This place is beautiful, great scenery all around. You can sit upstairs inside, in the patio or down below in the grassy area. The service was good, as our waiter was attentive and friendly. We got a bottle of Cabernet Franc which was great, highly recommend. The cheese board had 3 different manchego cheeses, apple slices with honey, and a few other items. I recommend this spot for anyone visiting Valle.
What a view! Even in the rain the view here was gorgeous. If the weather was nicer we would of totally sat outside the outdoor area is amazing but with the rain we sat inside. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately for us the pizza oven was down so we couldn't order that which is what we were going to get our kids. We were glad it was cause we probably wouldn't of ordered the ribs and beef and they were so delicious. The octopus is also a must but we knew that going in and it didn't disappoint. We enjoyed a wine tasting and got a glass to drink while we let the kids splash around in the rain puddles outside.

If you come here it's for the view , food and wine. The wine selection they had was delicious and the food was good. We had lunch so nothing to heavy but still great. Overall the view of the valley is what they told us about and it was everything I expected. One thing they can improve on is their service . Servers are rude and sharp and forget about you and never come back till it's time to go.
This spot is really beautiful. It is up on a hill and has a great view of Valle de Guadalupe. We did not do a wine tasting here but I was excited to see they had white wine mojito so I had to try. It was really good and tasted so fresh with the cucumber. We also ordered the shrimp scampi pizza and it did not disappoint. It was thin and crispy and had lots of shrimp. Would definitely go back to try some other food and more drinks

Came in on a Monday around 12 so it was pretty empty. We were well taken care of and everybody spoke english & spanish. We did wine tasting, got a cheese board and pan con tomate. The pan con tomate was really really good 10/10 !! really nice view as well read more
Decantos Vinícola is our favorite spot in Valle de Guadalupe we've had the pleasure of checking out so far. The wine and the food are splendid, and the views are just gorgeous! Service was wonderful as well. We look forward to returning soon. :) read more

Food was amazing. We had some pizza and that was so delicious. We also tried some aguachiles and let me just say the best I've had. The view was so beautiful. YOU MUST COME HERE Service was great our waiter was so sweet and attentive. read more

Definitely one of the larger wineries but during a heat wave, it's one of the only places with air conditioning. Food and wine are both decent. There's a huge outdoor area with tables and sofas so if you're with a large group, it's a comfortable space to sit together. It's very popular here so expect crowds on the weekends. read more

Took a family trip down to Ensénada to celebrate Memorial Day and also as an early birthday trip for myself. Never been wine tasting in Mexico but the misses keeps talking about it, so here was my change. This was the final local on our multi stop tour and we were delighted by the experience. The staff was friendly and attentive. They made sure we had everything we needed and what wines worked best with our food selection. All the staff was masked up and kept a solid distance to meet Covid-19 guidelines for the venue. The location has great views of the wine valley and several spots for a photo opt or two. Definitely will come back again. read more
All I can say is WOW! This place has been added to my list of Top Wineries to visit in Valle. The view and space itself is breath taking. We were on a tour with @alfredowinerytours we didn't have reservations and showed up around 2PM we were seated promptly inside with AC! They outside area is beautiful but it had a wait! We had breakfast at another place and then had gone to one winery so this was our second top. I got the Frutos Negros Mojito which is made with white wine no red and it was so refreshing literally my favorite drink of the day! We also got a cheese board, oysters, and the burrata salad everything was absolutely delicious! I saw they had pizza to and can't wait to come back and try it! Service was great ! Definitely check this place out! read more

My wife and I loved this place. The wine recommendations were on point and we enjoyed every glass. First time trying Syrah and it was smokey and lovely. Seemed dog friendly and had big outdoor and indoor seating options. read more

More of a casual wine tasting experience. We loved the grounds and the amazing views. The wines were very good. The food was delicious. We had a pizza and cheeseboard. The mojito. cocktails were also very good. Service was great!!! read more

Went to a few wineries during my trip to Valle De Guadalupe, and this was my favorite one. I also think it was because we did an actual tour instead of regular tastings, like we did at the other two. The wine maker was busy at the time we got there for our reservation, so they poured us a generous glass of wine (to which the wine pourer got scolded at later for pouring us too much). For $41 USD, we did the premium tour which allowed us to choose whatever wine we wanted to try. We were a group of nine and we got to try at least 5 bottles ranging from whites, roses, to reds. It was interesting listening to how the wine got started in this area and the type of grapes they used. After our wine tasting, the wine maker gave us a tour below and explain the process of how they make the wine. Most places will not allow you to view the process, but here they were open to everyone viewing their process. They say that they would like to expand and the only way to expand is to have people know about the wine. Continuing on the tour, they have a room filled with the glass bottles, great for photos! It was a little colder the further you go below, I believe he said it was 30 feet below sea level. At the end of the tour, there was a table with some cheese and meat platter for us to eat while we enjoy one last bottle. The last bottle 981 was the best, which we all ended up buying a bottle to bring back to the US. (PS: if you cross the border, you're only allowed one bottle per person!!!) Overall, I really enjoyed this winery. Definitely recommend everyone to try it! read more
What AMAZING views!!! Decantos is a stunning location at the top of an unpaved road. It's modern façade and general architecture will impact you immediately. It's beautiful. Sitting outside on their balcony as you drink and eat is definitely the way to go. We drank their red blend and snacked on their meat and cheese platters while people watching and taking in the views. For a Tuesday during low season, there were various groups and even a helicopter picking up people. Worth a stop if you appreciate the picturesque views Valle has to offer! read more

Had a great view of the valley Had a nice table by the window... not really a bad seat in the place, open airy, and inviting. Wait staff pleasant and knowledgeable Food ordered was: Octopus was to die for!! Excellent portion, superb sauce Margarita pizza good, fresh ingredients Tempura oysters light excellent flavor Beet salad w goat cheese, one of the better I've had Would definitely go back the next time I'm in town. read more
We stopped at Decantos as part of our wine tour. When our group of 8 walked in, we got asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. Since it was nice out, we said outside and they brought us downstairs. In which, I went to order a tasting at the bar downstairs and they were out of all whites and some of the reds. I wish they would have told us that if we went upstairs we could have gotten more choices. We eventually went inside and upstairs because we got cold outside and I was annoyed that some of the group had a white wine that they told me they were out of downstairs but was available upstairs. Anyways, lack of communication. We ordered: - lots of wine - ceviche (2 different kinds) - panna cotta dessert They had several ceviche choices on the menu and we went with the berry and the tropical one. Both were delicious and everyone was a fan! I ended up ordering a glass of red wine due to the limitations of the bar below. Then we all shared a panna cotta and it was delicious. Overall, lovely venue. read more

Wow, so pretty! Gorgeous place to hang out. It was super hot outside, so we stayed indoors in the AC. But with the crowd and outside heat, those poor AC units overhead barely kept the inside at a comfortable temperature. Definitely would be a nicer experience if it wasn't too hot to be outside as they have a gorgeous and expansive outdoor area. Food looked good, but we came right after lunch, so we just got drinks. It was super crowded, so the service was a bit slow. But the severs were working their culo off to get our large party enough delicious sangria. You have to go up to the counter to get pours for the tastings, so instead of waiting forever for each pour, we randomly chose a bottle of syrah to share at the table. It was okay, I'd much rather drink their sangria. read more

We stopped in after visiting a couple other wineries in the area for a glass of wine and some light bites. The view is nice and the patio is lovely, but the OCTOPUS appetizer is what truly blew me away here. I'm not normally even a fan of octopus, I never order it (it was one of my friends' picks) but this blew my mind! It was just beautifully cooked - crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth tender on the inside - and coated in a beautiful sauce that I can only guess was tamarind, garlic, Serrano, ancho, and maybe some citrus. I don't even know what it was called because I failed to photograph the menu.... but I added a photo - show it to your server and say "bring me this!". Thank me later. We also shared the charcuterie board - amazingly flavorful with a nice variety, the black ceviche - very fresh and delicious, and some other skewer dish that was also good but not my favorite (probably because it had the misfortune of coming right after the octopus). I only tried one wine (the Syrah) and found it pleasant, but honestly as we'd just done two other tastings, I don't think my pallet was very picky at that point. Lol. I'd love to go back and try a full tasting (and definitely get the octopus again). All in all it was a great experience. So great that we tried to go back again the next day but the road was closed (some bicycle race thing going on) so will need to wait for another visit to go back and explore more of their offerings. It's near the top of my list. read more

First time coming here and it was phenomenal. We were a little bit concern if we eeee going on the right track but it was lol might seem weird but it gets you where the place is at. The front desk is very friendly and polite. They sat us rigen away! And since with COVID19 the menu was on our phones. We decided to seat outside to enjoy the beautiful view!! They have an amazing view. We sat at one of the little tables on the top area. We ordered two glasses of wine and a cheese board. We took our time to enjoy everything with the incredible view. The prices and customer service was great! Our server was very very attentive and the prices were decent! The cheese board came with 4 different types of cheese, queso fresco, almonds, jelly and bread and olives. It was so so delicious. We will come back for sure! read more
-Great Venue with gorgeous view of the valley -Good for large group -Seating inside and outdoor I opted for the reserve tasting for $330 pesos The wines I tasted today fell short, nothing quite stood out. Most of the wines were light to medium body, light tannins. Staff were friendly. The pours here strict and there wasn't any 'revisiting'. The cheese plate and pizza were a hit among our group. Cheese is bountiful and the pizza is nice and greasy to help your hangover for the next day. Overall, I would come back for the view and environment itself. read more
