Bruce and Joe are the most trusted, most reliable and most truthful mechanics I know in El Paso. I know cars and they don't lie, try to pull any funny business and are straight shooters. If it's not worth fixing, they will tell you. If it can be fix; they tell you how much. Every time I take my F150, Ford Explorer and Hyundai in for routine maintenance or a repair job, It comes back better than new and always good work. Bruce and his son, Joe, care about their customers and their cars. They are transparent and honest. Back in the spring, I had my white Envoy named Bernadette at their shop as she has been periodically for seven years. This time, I was having a complete overhaul done on her engine. Bruce and Joe were finished with her until they discovered someone in their business had cracked the block. Bruce told me what had happened and that they would purchase a new used engine for me. They did and now Bernadette has 150,000 miles rather than her 250,000 before the engine block break. I highly recommend this business. Best mechanic I've had anywhere I've ever lived. Honest, friendly, no surprises and affordable. Better than that... if he can't fix it he'll personally refer you to a mechanic that specializes in the repair that he trusts. I needed a new rear end for my pickup and Bruce sent me to another shop where they took very good care of me for only $750! 2 years ago i spoke and worked with Bruce. a simple fix that other mechanics and even autozone kept running me around. Bruce found out my battery just needed to be replaced and he did just that. FAST FORWARD I call 8/10/2021 && RUDELY one of the mechanics answered I didn't think much of it cause they could've been busy. I asked him about the battery and HE KEPT CUTTING ME off all I wanted to know was about the warranty. I had to tell him " sir im just wanting to know if there is any way i have warranty or it or if I can bring it in and you guys look at the battery " and he told me it can take 3 weeks so I just released the line because in his voice he really didn't want to help. fast forward 9-1-2021 I call and I say " hello i have 2010 dodge avenger and it's overheatin. I see it's leaking coolant and the part I believe needs to be replaced is the thermostat and housing system. " the person who answered said it will take a week, and I told him okay that's fine. before I go buy the part do you want to look at it to confirm just in case ? And he RUDELY says don't bring it in we're already full and Friday we won't probably be open and I tell him oh ok can you repeat yourself because I can't hear did you say Friday you guys are closed, and instead of repeating the information he just kept talking about how bringing it in will cause another delay and how they're packed and I'm trying to tell him I understand but I just got so frustrated how RUDE and POOR A$$ customer service he has... bruce is amazing his workers ARE RUDE NOT PROFESSIONAL they need to hire someone who can answer the phones or tell whoever answers the phone to not answer it. read more

My son took his car to this place and we went to pick it up after he was told that service was completed. When we picked up the car the Owner started the engine, and the car was shaking horribly. The owner/mechanic then stated saying that he didn't realize the car was running so badly. Of course, After he changed my son over 500.00. This was the issue that my son needed fixed. I told the owner that by them just seeing that the car was running so badly, after charging my son, leads me to believe that they never started the car when they started fixing my sons car, nor when they finished "Fixing" the issue. The car was never checked and started..... Now my son is having to hire someone else to fix the mess these guys made. Don't bring your car here. It's been a money pit for my son and his car was never fixed. read more

The prices have always been fair and they have always gone out of their way to make sure other customers and I have been taken care of. Honest, dependable no frills mechanic.! Very hard to find these days. We took our car to the dealership for an oil change, came back with $$$$ worth of repairs recommended. Took it to Bruce's for a second opinion and they didn't find anything warranting a costly repair at all. Do not take your car to the dealership, they will swindle you. I was on tour with a band, when our van started to act funny outside of El Paso. I found a place on Yelp that looked like it would be able to find the problem and not rip me off. Much to his credit, he quickly figured out that it wasn't his type of problem, (he specializes in Transmissions and modern cars. I was in a 1984 van,) and he sent me up the street to Bruce's, where they deal with older carbureted vehicles. Bruce was able to identify a couple of possible causes by ear, methodically made his way to the source of the problem, and got me back on the road in a matter of hours. He also identified a dead cylinder (!) that I'll have to deal with soon, and cleaned up my vacuum tubes and spark plug wires a little bit while he was in there.
