I immediately felt comfortable with her, and after talking for a while she did quite a few calculations and then drew eyebrows on me so I'd have an idea of how they'd look. I always wanted to get my eyebrows done, and I was researching people on Instagram since they have more pictures than yelp. I was about to go to another lady but then I found Maureen! Maureen is extremely nice and patient - she explains the whole process and what you will expect throughout the healing process. The ombre powder procedure barely hurt at all. Only towards the end I felt something, but it was like someone lightly scratching my eyebrow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Maureen periodically asked if I was doing okay during it, which was super nice! After your done, she hands you a goodie bag with after care instructions, a visor (to protect your brows from getting wet in the shower), and even candy! You can also text her any time throughout the healing process if you're worried... Hands down, Maureen is an AMAZING brow artist! First, you have to make an appointment (she books out fast for months, which says a lot about how great of a work she does), so keep that in mind. Her studio is very spacious, clean, and cute! On the day of the appointment, Maureen does a consultation and helps you decide which method (microblading/ microshading/ ombre powder) is best for you, but she also listens and respects your wishes :) She draws your brows based on your face and the shape of your natural brows, and takes her time in doing so to make sure it looks perfect. She draws a draft first to make sure you like it, so be sure to tell her if you need any modifications (thicker, more arched, longer, etc)! Once you agree, she begins her magic! The procedure was not painful to me. She uses local anesthetic on your brows to minimize pain. The end product may look darker and warmer in color than you expect at first, but this is a normal process. They lighten and shrink a little when they heal! TRUST HER :D Maureen is very professional and such a sweet person! I found her work through IG and found out later that a friend also goes to her and speaks so wonderfully about her work!
