Allen's Haunted Hayrides is right along Route 51. In addition to hayrides, which last about 30 minutes, there is a haunted house, food vendors and other activities. Our group reserved a bonfire, which was $30 for a 2-hour window. You can bring your own food and drinks: we brought supplies for s'mores and some other snacks, but we saw others with hot dogs and other items. Tickets for the hayride or haunted house are $15 each, while a ticket for both is $25. Our hayride driver was hilarious and we really enjoyed our time. A tip: everything is cash and there is no ATM on site.

We only do the hayride and the actors are amazing they give you a scare and then high five the younger kids some will even take their mask off to show it's all pretend. It's a great introduction to scares and haunts for young children. With that said this year it was very bland. The kids even said it was "lame" and not because they are growing out of it but there were barely any actors there. Last year there were about 7 actors climbing on the hayride at one time. This year there were never more than two with a few sections abandoned all together. No where near as many screams and laughs as years previous. We still paid $25 a person and still waited in over a two hour line. Usually we don't mind at all but they really dropped the ball this year. We even went on a Saturday one of their busiest nights with hundreds of customers. Not sure why it was so barren this year of actors but I feel if that's the case they should drop the price if only for $5. They are a great family and everyone is nice and friendly but this is the first year I feel like I wasted my money. I think next year we will venture elsewhere. The only entertainment was the painfully awkward dialogue of the actors, and the entire experience was not scary at all. The challenges did not make sense and were not interesting. The grave digger challenge involved lasers that "used to be blue but now are red because of the blood." Yes, it is truly this ridiculous. The entire experience was laughable and a waste of money. The challenge trail was nightmarish, but not in the way intended.

But even without that, their tickets are very affordably priced. Food is also affordable compared to other similar attractions and there is a nice variety of options. A really fun and unique feature is the cookies and milk being offered during a mid inning break for only $1! They often have additional family activities like meeting mascots (they always have the Wild Thing there). If you are looking for affordable family fun, this is a great place to check out.

That price is for tickets (!), parking which is usually $5, and selected concessions such as hot dogs, popcorn and beer. The games are legit good baseball and they have a competitive team, winning their division last year. There's a sign on one of the walls showing players who have gone on to be signed by MLB teams. The games are also packed with entertainment where fans get the chance to play for prizes, and don't miss the $1 chocolate chip cookie and milk combo, yes both for $1, behind home plate in the middle of the game. They will sell out so get in the line early. Concessions overall are so fairly priced, such as eight dollars for some interesting funnel cake fries (Reese's or Fluffernutter toppings) and $5 for a soft serve ice cream in a size you won't believe. In all this is a really fun night out! Very nice ballpark, too. My only small complaint is that they need a couple more vegetarian and/or GF options at the food stands. We had one of each dietary need in our crowd and all the GF person could eat were french fries or waffle fries, and as a vegetarian my choices were pretty much sweets, soft pretzel or snack pierogies which I am assuming are going to be Mrs. T's, while others have so many choices of different types of sandwiches etc. Maybe get a pizza vendor in here and offer some GF hot dog buns; it's a pretty frequent dietary need these days.

When it was time to exit the hayride, I lost a gemstone ring as I was brushing off hay. The staff pitched in with flashlights and helped search. They resumed the search the next morning and called me as soon as they found my ring---a proverbial needle in a haystack! So thankful to have experience such honesty!

The hardest part was actually finding your way out, and we did this during the day, I have a hunch that the real fun is at night. They have flashlights for rent, and on top of finding the stamps, I think it gets pretty spooky in there. The kids were loving the haunted hayrides during the daylight though, so they seemed to have found a good balance between frightening and fun. They had little fair games, pumpkins for carving and your typical concessions-the corn sling shot was the best...and we were lucky enough to be there for a zombie flash mob done by what must have been an all ages dance class, very cute. Not a lot for the adults to do/look at while the kids are running around except sit by the fire pit and sip cider, but there are worse things!

It sells a variety of dry and sweet wines (e.g., red, white, rose, sparkling, and cider), cocktails, mocktails, and beers. Some vineyards are on the grounds as are many barrels and bottles of wines. The restaurant has both indoor seating and seasonal outdoor seating in lakeside cabanas and winter igloos. It is open for brunch/lunch and dinner. It is a nice setting for daily dining as well as special events such as weddings, bridal and baby showers, and private parties. Furthermore, the website lists activities such as bingo, painting and candle-making classes, live music with dancing, and more. For my husband and me, I made a reservation for lunch in an igloo. Our igloo was large enough to fit eight people and cost $50 plus foods and drinks. A larger "party dome" fits up to 14 people and has a fee of $75. The temperatures outside were very cold, but our igloo was kept warm by an electric fireplace and a zippered door. Throughout our meal, our waitress provided timely and friendly service. The Bistro menu listed shareables (e.g., pretzel sticks and charcuterie board), several smash burgers, several flatbreads, mains (e.g., fish and chips, cajun chicken pasta, and quinoa bowl), several salads, several handhelds (e.g., turkey melt, veggie wrap, and Italian panini), many sides, and a couple of desserts. Prices were moderate. (The menus for Sunday Brunch and a group Gathering differ.) The waitress first brought our Sweet Wine-Cookie Flight (4.5 stars), which consisted of the following pairs: Diamond Reo with Brown Sugar Pop Tart, Sweet Finley with Chocolate Salted Caramel, Riesling with Cookies and Cream, and Rose Cider with Strawberry Crunch. The wine glasses came in a wooden box, which was slightly too small, so I needed several minutes of time to carefully pull each wine glass out of the box. I, however, did enjoy the sweet flavors of the wines and cookies. Next our waitress brought out our shareable and two mains. The Hummus Plate (4.5 stars) consisted of fresh and tasty hummus, feta, olives, top seedz crackers, tomatoes, cucumbers, green and red peppers, carrots, celery, and tzatziki. My main course was Crab Cakes (4 stars) with a substituted side of salad. Two crab cakes were a decent size of 4 ounces each, but I would have preferred more crab meat. I liked the garlic aioli. My husband's main course was the Cali Burger (4 stars) with a side of fries. In a brioche bun, a beef patty was topped with fontina cheese, applewood-smoked bacon (which he would prefer be crispier), avocado, avocado ranch, lettuce, and pickles (which he commented were nicely crunchy and sweet-sour) (no tomato at his request). I've been here to apple pick, blueberry pick, strawberry pick and pick flowers. Each experience is fun and has something unique. My favorite is the apple picking. There are usually at least two varieties to choose from and the apples are always delicious! I also love the strawberry picking (and you take a hay ride to get to the field). Sure it is more expensive than if you purchased in a grocery store, but it is a fun experience making memories with your family. If you don't want to go the pick your own route, they have a lot of other fun things to keep you entertained. Bounce pillows, corn maze, slides built into the hillside, a haunted walk through barn, animals and more! And, if you don't want to do any of the extras, it is worth it just to stop and shop in their market! Loads of their fresh produce, baked goods, jarred goods and cute farm related merchandise. The midway was like a few low effort booths that had some aiming games and some merch (that was honestly really cool). The buried alive experience is also so worth it.
