4.5 stars overall. Hilton Farm II is a family farm that raises and sells beef, chicken, pork, lamb, duck, turkey, and eggs. The birds are free-range, and the livestock are pasture-raised. The farm sells their foods through their onsite market.
In the past couple of years, I have bought many of Hilton Farm II's foods. Here are my reviews for these foods:
Whole cow black angus ground beef - 5 stars - This ground beef contained no hormones or antibiotics. It was not greasy, and it tasted very good.
Pasture-raised kielbasa - 4 stars - This kielbasa was made from pasture-raised pigs, and it contained no hormones or antibiotics. It tasted extremely good, but my husband did not like the grease.
Filet mignon - 3 stars - I was told, "The individual filets will range from 8 oz to 12 oz," but my filets were 0.21 pounds and 0.41 pounds. The filet that was 0.21 pounds looked very small! The filets did taste very good.
Ground goat meat - 4 stars - This was my first and only time eating goat meat. It was fresh and not greasy.
Ground lamb meat - 4 stars - In general, lamb is not my favorite meat, but this lamb appeared to be a good quality.
Loose leaf herbal tea - 4 stars - This tea had a subtle but good flavor.
Smoked ham slice - 5 stars - These slices of ham were so large that they were enough for two meals for two people. My husband described the ham as "tasty."
Free-range chicken eggs - 5 stars - These eggs were a variety of colors including brown and green, and they tasted very good.
Catnip - 5 stars - This catnip was organic, and my cats appeared to enjoy the scent and flavor.
Green beans - 5 stars - These green beans were organic and fresh and cost a reasonable price.
Sweet bell peppers - 5 stars - These bell peppers were organic and tasted good. read more
