He was friendly, professional, quickly found and fixed the problem (he comes prepared to solve a variety of problems), cleaned up after. I had hot water an hour later. All this for a fair and reasonable price. Also, on the phone he was able to give me a ballpark estimate so I wasn't left guessing. I see no reason to go anywhere else. PS I actually called them a while back when a "hair wig" broke in my new pipes and slid down the drain, I was worried it would collect debris and form a clog and they reassured me that it probably just went out to the sewer, but if it ever does clog, he gave me an estimate. Didn't charge me a "house call" fee knowing things would be OK, and they have been for 3+ years. I may have even called them a 2nd time without hiring when the valves to my outside pipes sprung a leak, but my BF fixed it... again Copper Pipe was patient and not annoyed at my calling without hiring, said I could get them in if we couldn't fix it. So when my hot water heater broke and I needed a professional to fix it, I knew who to call. It is a great feeling knowing I have a plumber I can trust (competent, fast, won't rip me off) who can help me tackle any plumbing problem I have, and lucky for me they are only 5 minutes away. Because plumbing issues happen, and they always feel like an emergency.

The person comes out, on Monday, and it turns out that the job was bigger than I knew. They had budgeted 1 1/2 hours, but they couldn't stay for the 2-3 hours the job would require, as they had another stop. Okey Dokey. There was also mold up under the sink as a result of the leak. I talked to Peggy (I think), and they could possibly get back to me on Friday or next Monday. Great, that gave me time to get the mold cleaned out. NEVER A CALL BACK. I DID get a bill for $125 for the guy who stopped out and didn't have the time to do the job. I called Hermann, and I recommend that you do as well.

Called Josh and he came out the next day to assess the issues needing addressed. He gave me advice…read moreabout the whole home water softer, which apparently is clogged. We just bought the home in April of 2025 and the water softer was not running when we moved into the house. Once I turned it on, we lost all water pressure. Josh gave me an estimate to have it replaced. My wife did not feel it was needed. The 2nd issue was a faulty install of the previous owners to a hand held shower wand in the Master Bath. When turned on, it would run water into the basement. Josh had to cut a hole in the wall of the water closet to get to the issue, which was a gas pipe installed where a water pipe should have been installed, as an extension. The other issue was a slow drain in the kitchen. Josh and his brother snaked out the drain and found the previous owners had been dumping their grease down the drain. He got as much grease as he could with the snake and then dumped a bottle of Dawn Dishwashing liquid down the drain to break down the grease further down the drain system. Josh's price was extremely fair and I will use him for ALL my plumbing needs.

I…read morecontacted my usual plumber who wasn't able to come out and recommended Blue Chip as a reliable option who services my area often. I had an overall good experience! The one thing I did not appreciate is that when I called to schedule, I spoke with an AI agent. I understand some businesses use these, but what I didn't like was that I was not told I was speaking to an AI agent. It sounded so realistic at first until I caught on, which made me feel a little silly for attempting to be friendly and make conversation with what turned out to be a robot. And after that whole call, a real person had to call back anyway to confirm a few details. She was super helpful, so I was left wondering why I even had to go through the AI ordeal. Everything from there was awesome. On the morning of my visit, I received a text with rhe plumber's picture and some of his interests and facts about him, as well as his ETA to my home. He was very friendly and wore covers over his shoes. I was very nervous and upset about the water leak and wanted lots of information, which he was patient to share with me. He called me back to the room to explain what he found and my options. He was helpful, moving my toilet to a place where it would be out of the way and taking care to close up the area for my family's safety while I pursued next steps to avoid water damage. I'm grateful for Tyson's great work and helpful demeanor through this experience! After the visit, I needed a plumbing report to send to my home insurance for a claim. Their office staff was able to quickly email me the plumber's notes and photos. I will definitely call Blue Chip again. I hope they reconsider the use of the AI agent or at least have it announce itself before you speak to it so you are aware. But the actual plumbing work and professionalism is great.
