The best oatmilk raspberry scoop I have had. Service was great and I liked saving my sample spoon. I was happy to see the ube but it was too heavy for me that day.

I was with friends at Tompkins open streets and you can't go without stopping at Brown Butter Creamery. The line may be long but it's definitely worth it. I love their variety of unique and classic favors. My fav is their Ube flavor ice cream. It is my go to every time and it hits the spot. Remember while at TAMA to support and respect the local businesses.

I had a taste for some Brooklyn Babycakes and heard they carried them in the creamery and also Brown Butter (cafe) sometimes, so I stopped in. Before I got a chance to ask, I was instantly drawn to the vibrant colors of gelato in the case. *Takes mental note: Ube and Bourbon Vanilla. Sadly there were none, but I ended up with a free scoop, courtesy of a photographer taking shots for a publication! And lo and behold, it was ube, yeeeaaaauuuhhhh!!!!! I snuck a taste and let me tell you, it was delicious. So velvety, full of real ube flavor, not that weird artificial taste or dyed vanilla (its the Pinoy kind of ube, iykyk!). I know I will be back, not only because the cakes will get you, but this gelato will too.

Delicious!! My partner and I chose to share 3 different scoops - ube, bourbon vanilla, and cookies & cream. Ube was the unanimous winner, but we enjoyed all 3 as they were deliciously creamy. Scoops are a good size and priced appropriately. Would recommend!

I had the coco loco Ice cream. It was delicious but the serving are too small for the price. The slice of cake was $6.50. We tried the coconut Flavored cake and it was delicious, moist and fresh.

What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! An extension of the famed Brown Butter (if you haven't definitely go try their chicken biscuit sandwich!) located just down the street on Tompkins Ave, the Creamery is the perfect place for a scoop of gelato or sorbet on a hot day. They have a variety of flavors that rotate and offer 3 different types of cone on which to enjoy your frozen treat. Their desserts are also made in house as an added bonus. Great place to bring family and friends alike. This side of BedStuy was missing a sweets shop and Brown Butter is stepping up to fill that need.

While I love Brown Butter and am super excited for them in this journey of expanding into ice cream, I cannot believe I paid $18- $20 with tax for a pint of ice cream! That is just way too over priced! It doesn't align with the 1-2 scoops prices either. I thought I was doing a good deed support this business and grabbing some ice cream to go but I felt feeling taken advantage of. The ube was really good and creamy however I definitely would not purchase a pint from here again. You can buy one for half the price from the 100s of other ice cream shops in the area or just go to the grocery store for 1/3 of the price.

Great ice cream but they looked at me like I had 8 heads when I asked for tap water for my dogs on a 90 degree day. I was a paying customer.

Relatively new, this shops fills the void for a sweet treat in this area…read more It's such a adorable space to enjoy your dessert . I'd been meaning to stop by and was happy I did today. The owner Ashley was very sweet and took time to fill us in on the concept and give insight on more additions coming to the shop ( bakery items). She gives samples so we tried the dairy free mixed berry- bursting with fruity goodness. We then got cones of Black is King -the most intense chocolate (Madagascar)flavor I've ever tried. It's insanely good, don't skip it if you're a chocolate fan. Both my hunby and son agreed it's the best chocolate ice cream we've had. I had the Ethiopian Coffee ice cream, so good. The ice creams are made without eggs and preservatives, made with fair trade ingredients from Africa .Vegan options are available. Frozen drinks offerings as well. There's loyalty card that I'm sure will not be difficult to quickly fill up. There's a cute little table for kids too. Great aesthetics, great service and great ice cream. Cash or card. Closed on Mondays. 12pm to 8pm other days No bathroom. Take out or dine in.

At the end, we advised her to assist other customers and she KEPT checking on us to ensure we were okay with waiting. She's a great part of the experience. It's a quaint spot, which makes you feel like you're pulling up to an actual Island bar for these sweet indulgences. ALL flavors are amazing, it's just a matter of preference. Our favorite, along with the other Patrons, was, HANDS DOWN, the Sorrel Sorbet! We also enjoyed the Island Coconut, which was a soft balance of fresh creamy coconut flavor. Do not expect flakes of coconut just in case you're looking for texture. Pure smoothness. We loved the Passionfruit Cake ice cream and paired it with the Sorrel Sorbet. Sorrel was also paired with the Coconut. You can request housemade Waffle Cones or a bowl with a piece of Milo (chocolate) Waffle cone for a nice bite. Honorable mentions were the Honey Roasted, Grapenut, Soursop, Tamarindo, and good Ole classic Vanilla with an Island twist. They do switch flavors so always check in. You can never go wrong. Island Pops is a definite destination for a sweet taste of Island Life! He said we were lucky enough to get there on a day when there was no line normally there's a line out of the shop and onto the block. We went in and there was nobody. But it is a Wednesday night in the fall. So why did we want ice cream anyway? This is such a cute little ice cream shop and I like how they don't have a Brazilian flavors but the ones they do have are super different. I got black cherry cardamom in a waffle cone. It was absolutely delicious. So I guess if you have friends come from outside the city, you should add this to your list.

I was thinking to myself, could it be like Kulfi? Turns out yes! It's even better with the flavor assortment and consistency! They had fun combos like saffron pistacho, rose pistachio, mango and cream etc. we got the saffron pistacho and mango & cream split combo for $8.50 and hmmmm it was so good! Both flavors were distinct. I loved the mango one as it actually tasted like Indian mangoes and the pistacho one actually tasted like kulfi. The consistency is imo so much better than gelato. It's creamy and melts in your mouth. The ambiance is cosy, lots of people just hanging out like at a 3rd space. The attention to decor is really good, the walls and ceilings also have this classy look and feel. The service was great. They let me try 2 flavors, and my husband 1. You could also buy pints, if you'd like. Overall, 10/10 spot. Would 100% recommend!
